  • This workshop's goal is to take one astrophysicist's approach to time management and translate it into actionable steps you can apply regardless of the goals you want to achieve.
In about 40 minutes you will learn:
    - Key concepts of time management
    - A variety of tools you can use to prioritize and manage tasks
    - Provide some ideas that might work with your unique life
    - Give you resources for planning how to spend your time
Dr. Emily Petroff is a former researcher, forever astrophysicist, and current Associate Director for Strategic Partnerships, Grants, and Awards at Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
Previously, she acted as the project manager for the CHIME/FRB Collaboration, a consortium of 60+ researchers in Canada and internationally using the CHIME telescope to search for fast radio bursts.
Working in fast-paced research fields she has found it essential to learn key time management skills to prioritize work and be able to operate at a high level.
This video provides tools, tips, tricks for keeping on top of tasks and avoiding overwhelm. The strategies outlined can be used in academia, corporate work, home life, research, and everything in-between.

Some of these methods, remind me the Lean and Six Sigma techniques. Great info to incorporate into that.

Emily, I enjoyed this. There were many concepts and it allowed me to see which ones would be more valuable for me. One size doesn't fit all, and your approaches allowed for that. Many useful ideas. Thanks, Cal
