- Updated gameplay trailer for Dark Fantasy ARPG Kristala's Beta Demo. This revised version of the trailer features updated gameplay footage from our Unreal Engine 5 demo build, recorded in March and April 2023.
Kristala is a 3D Dark Fantasy ARPG developed using Unreal Engine 5 by women-owned indie games studio, Astral Clocktower Studios.

looks Amazing Cant wait to play the Demo
Starting from a mere alley cat and becoming a pristine feline badass? Looks pretty fun.
Having played some of the demo, the combat and idle animation looks really good and I was surprised by just how solid the feedback felt while in combat for a demo of a game without an announced release date!
Some criticisms though, I thought that the walking animation, both on the ground and on ropes, was a bit stiff, and while walking/running head is held strangely, like it's tilted downwards too much, and the jumping was just the slightest bit floaty.
A lot of the lighting and effects looked very nice, such as the spells and crystal glow, though I think that the hit sparks are too bright.

We do agree with some of those criticisms, and are actually currently working on improved animations for those actions and more, so stay tuned to see cool updates!
The gameplay looks awesome and the voice acting in this trailer was phenomenal as well

Are we going to play strictly as cats or other animals?
You'll play as a feline being known as an Anagativa from one of six different clans. Each clan looks different and specializes in a diff type of magic. You'll also have two diff body type choices. We're hoping to expand more on the character creation, just dependent on funding :)
