Come To Papa , Main Street, Beautiful Loser & Roll Me Away, by Bob Seger
Try Bob Seger Main Street, Her Strut, and Fire Lake. More greatness.
You need to listen to Turn the Page from Bob Seger, my favorite Seger song
Pick any song of his and it’s gonna be worth it.
Can’t say enough about Bob. He’s one of those legendary performers where you saw him one day at a concert at a high school and the next was an arena with SRO. He remained faithful to his music and didn’t do whatever was the fad of the month. He put out rock and roll and I can barely remember a time without his music and I am 66. Thanks Bob and thank you for doing another Bob Seger song.
markG : right on! oh those nights!
@@robertflippin9112 yes sir!
Well said....
💯 The first time I saw him was at a bar, just outside Flint Michigan! They let all the young girls in. I was around 16! He was great then, and still great today! 💜
@@bungalowmo those were the days!
Please listen to Seger’s “Katmandu “
OMG Chad! I've been looking, and I don't see where you've done Turn the Page by Seger! You did the Metallica version, but not Bob Seger! I think that's sacrilege! Please, please, you must react to it.
"Ain't Got No Money", "Ramblin Gambling Man ", " Old Time Rock n Roll ","Sunspot Baby ", "Kathmandu ".
I love this man, and he was my first live concert. There is a live version of this song from 1978 (I think) in San Diego that you need to check out. It really shows the energy he brings to the stage and to the people.
His saxaphonist of 49 years, Alto Reed, just passed away last week.
Chod, I love Seger too. Main Street would be a great next reaction. For a similar vibe from a different artist, might want to take a dip into John Cougar Mellencamp's catalogue - Little Pink Houses, etc.
I feel a sleep last night listening to Jim Croce radio station on Spotify and Bob Seger was one of the artist. I woke up to his song "Still the Same". I forgot about that song. Another song was "Mainstreet".
Another one by him is Fire Lake
Yes, incredible song. Vastly underrated!
Please react to Little River Band It's a long way there. Thanks
great picks and reaction👍.. you havn't done yet his "Turn the page" , "Against the Wind" and "We've got Tonight", you might like check these out 🙂🤗
"Mainstreet", "Beautiful Loser", "We've Got Tonight."
Love bob. But also love the Allman Brothers. Wish you would listen to Not My Cross to Bear, Melissa, Blue Sky, Soulshine, etc, etc.
As a drummer, I know you had to appreciate the drum line in that tune from start to finish, it is a ROCKER!!! Bob recorded 18 studio albums, 2 live albums and has a few compilations, so you have A LOT more to explore ~ Do yourself a musical favor and go back now to his first, early stuff and move through his career, you have started quite a few years in ~ Check out Ramblin' Gamblin' Man, Lucifer, East Side Story, Heavy Music, etc. ~ Then do yourself the ultimate musical favor and listen to his Live Bullet album from start to finish, it will blow you away and was the springboard to his breakout into national airplay, followed very closely by his Night Moves album that put him on the charts and the cover of Rolling Stone ~ Everything else is a treat too, losta gems!!! Thanks for the reaction, as you can see, I'm a Bob fan, LOL
Oh my Chod, love Bob Seger for so long. Please try Come To Poppa, Her Strut and Turn The Page. Thanks for this.
As a drummer, you have to appreciate this one
I was fortunate enough to see Bob again in 2018. I've seen him several times, first in 1976. This last time his opening act was called Larkin Poe. I'd never heard of them, but they rocked. I really wish you would give them a listen. Here's a link. ua-cam.com/video/Wy0RGsd2-JA/v-deo.html
He does Bo Diddley real good. It's office smoking Op lp
Have you reacted to Bob Seger Main Street yet.
Solid song from an amazing artist. I saw him live once and he was fantastic, great concert.
Might i suggest one of my favorites by Bob.
"Come to poppa".....you will love it.
One of my favorites
I think this is my favorite Bob Seger song. The drums have such energy.
There is a live performance by Matchbox Twenty that also has that kind of drum energy. I’d love to see you react to How Far We’ve Come ua-cam.com/video/X8mf5_2lsE8/v-deo.html
You gotta LOVE Bob! I don't think he has a bad song! Can't find one! What a storyteller too!👍♥️
Her Strut” Bob Seger. It’s a banger. I had the album Against the Wind. Back in the day everyone listened to Seger. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yo Wilburn you should have a Bob Seger Day and react to the 4 or 5 most requested Seger songs from your peeps. He's got a ton of classic tunes. I'm 60 years old and I think it's awesome to see your generation love the music I grew up on. Do Turn the Page LIVE . !!!!!!
Do yourself a solid and check out Main Street. You will not be disappointed I assure you. And that is The Silver Bullet Band top notch musicians. Main Street my brother.
Frank Zappa...the black page #1
What 4 losers would give this a thumbs down? 🤷🏻♂️
One of the all time greats love roll me away ! Once the drummer kicks in !
Love your channel. This is my music. I was was a teenager in the mid to late 70's. Love you baby keep up the great work! Terri
Bob Seger is an extraordinary storyteller through his music. Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band have so many great songs, please check out
"Main Street".
Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band/Fire Lake
Warning do not play while driving, it will cause you to get a ticket
"Get Out of Denver" (Live in Detroit 1975)
Check Christian James Head breakdown this song on “The Session” podcast or radio show. The vocal track is breathtaking.
Try some off of the "Live Bullet" Album if you really want to appreciate him, my fav is the finale "Let it Rock" with it's iconic line " Reach on down to your soul, lil bit of Detroit Michigan soul and let it let it let it ...Rock and Roll all night long". Every song is amazing on that album and the energy oozes off the record.
I seen every concert to every album in the 70s from $5.50 to $6.50
Rarely ever payed over $12.50 for any tickets..those were the good ole days!
My first Seger concert in Cleveland, 1977, when he opened for Boston was about $10 ~ Seger and The Silver Bullet Band BLEW Boston away!!! SO GOOD!!! Saw them 12 more times through the years, last time October 2019 on his retirement tour right before his last show in Philly ~ RIP Alto Reed......
Those were the days when bands made their money from album sales and concerts were marketing and therefore effectively subsidised. Now with the minimal returns from the digital platforms and the reduction in physical sales the whole thing has flipped and the concerts are the money making opportunity and f’ in expensive. SAD.
Sunspot baby! Yasss!
That moment when Chod hears 4 full measures of that pocket...🔥🔥🔥
Exactly! This is the song that will get you pulled over!
"Feel Like A Number" is a great Bob Seger tune to react to, off of the same album as this.. The entire Stranger In Town LP is excellent.
You haven't done mainstreet yet?? 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Bob Seger had so many great songs. Love his songwriting, band and of course his great voice
More Bob Seger please"turn the page","come to papa","her strut","rambliin gamblin man","Katmandu","travelin man/ beautiful loser","Betty Lou's getting out tonight","fire lake","famous final scene","feel like a number","still the same","2+2","get outta Denver" and many more classics ☮️

Journey JOURNA y, the song. The song I'll be all right without you the live version is the one😊
You need to check out Bob Seger video of this performance. He is pure energy. Music incarnated. Thanks for reviewing. It's on "Patrol Gaming" channel. (Video is almost impossible to find elsewhere.)
Check out Travelin' Man/Beautiful Loser from the live bullet album. You'll be glad you did! Best live concert recording EVER!
Hello Chod, really appreciate your past comments about live music showing the real talent. Artists actually performing. With that said, please check out "Telegraph Road" in Sevilla 26.07.2015. This is Mark Knopler (Dire Straits founder, lead guitarist and lead singer) playing his 1982 song LIVE ... What is that, 33 years later. It's absolutely incredible.
How about making it a Hollywood quintet: (all without googling, I'm sure there are lots more)
2. Say Goodbye to Hollywood - Billy Joel
3. Gone Hollywood - Supertramp
4. Hollywood Sign - Peter Sarstedt
5. Hollywood - Boz Scaggs
You should react to Roll Me Away. Fantastic. Bob is THE BEST.
Another great one! Thanks CHOD, he has been my number one since 72! Love ya CHOD....!

Antonio Sanchez
The anxious battle for sanity
Great selection! Great artist! Thanks!
For anyone who's climbed up to the top of Topanga or Laurel Canyon, they know about those 'twisting turning roads...'
Funny, I've not ever heard anyone react to the linked pair Travelin' Man/Beatiful Loser off of Live Bullet album. The way he runs them together in the live performance...masterful. if you like organ, that's the one.
After listening to you talk about your dad please check out Dan Fogleberg "Leader of the Band' ua-cam.com/video/qsocZrEcp0Y/v-deo.html. He has many great songs to choose from.
As someone who originally hailed from Michigan, Bob Seger holds a special place in my heart, and this in particular is one of my favorite songs because of that driving rhythm.
It also has one of my favorite moments of what is known as word painting, where the instrumental (or vocal) composition imitates what the lyrics are describing. Listen to the piano on the line "We watched the waves tumble over the sand" and you'll hear it do a twinkling little trill, like water.
Since I just finished listening to one of your Genesis reactions, I will say that the concert video I recommended has a another of my favorite word painting moments. Listen to what the vocals and drums do in "Driving the Last Spike" on the line "Stones fell like rain."
I was 24 when I seen Bob seger in concert!!! Seen him in st. Louis mo. Dang I will be 67 next month!!!
Sooooooo did you think your grandparents grew up in a boring era? They grew up with some of the best musicians ever imo. I’m 72 and these are my songs too. Enjoy the music that makes you move and groove.
Turn the page, Old time rock and roll, Mainstreet, her strut...will get you started!!!
You should react to his song Mainstreet, or Night Moves, or Shinin' Brightly. Actually you can't go wrong with any of his songs.
Bob Seger is totally unique...great great voice ...rock n soul
He has great ballads, too. I love The Famous Final Scene. I think you will, too.
Shakedown my favorite
Most are unaware but this song has two completely different drum parts through out the entire song. Was recorded in L A and the lead singer from Little Feat lowell George played on it.
It gets you dancing right away!!!!!awesome job
Chod
Please react to anything off the Live Bullet Album. All are audio of Live Recordings. A lot are from here in Detroit, Michigan. Uncle Bob is from Michigan

The music along with the VOICE is also outstanding
How about reacting to, Fleetwood Mac "Sara".....?
Gotta do the LIVE version! Bob Seger was a bad man LIVE!
Bob always sang from the heart and put on a great show for his fans. He was no salesman, as Rush would say.
react tu something Before Night Moves album.
Shout out for Seger sideman, sax/horn player Alto Reed who passed away last week
Great breakdown again!! Well you finally have come to the same conclusion I did years ago! Just can not beat Bob!! I will take any artist and compare full albums against any artist or group!! Only one like that is led zep! Just listen to the Live Bullet album straight thru and do a breakdown in between each song and you will be in utmost heaven and tears all at the same time! Best live album of all time!!
Another banger......! One of his best, One of THE best!!
Lmao!!! Yes!!.. This song activates my lead foot!
Queen is also top of the line, Freddie Mercury best male vocalist
Sucha a beautiful song

Don't forget to listen to the live version of this song from the "Nine Tonight" live album, it's even better!
Please react to Night Moves and Mainstreet by Bob Seger
Your happiness listening to this is written all over your face from pretty early in the song!
Thanks so much for not talking in between. I was a band geek too.
You can feel the foot on the accelerator. He may ease up a little, but the forward motion is just great
Skip to 1:56 for the music, you're welcome!
