I have 2 of these belts from Kore and absolutely love'em. I can’t believe it took someone sooo long to figure this out - but it was worth the wait. These belts are very cool and all I wear now. Gentlemen, or ladies, if you’re looking for a new belt and want something better - this is it. It’s more than just better, it’s the best belt I've ever owned.

For those who may be curious or need a refresher on leather (as it relates to belts anyways) From lowest quality to highest.... bonded, genuine, top-grain, full grain.

Kore belts are the best belts I’ve ever owned. I’ve bought them for gifts and I’ve bought multiple belts for myself. I will only buy Kore Essentials belts. Quality, customer service, longevity, daily use, are all AMAZING! I can not rate higher than 100% but they in my books they have always 200%

I just recently purchased a Kore Essentials fashion belt. I had watched several UA-cam reviews and eventually picked the product out of all the other brands. I am pleased to say that I am extremely amazed. The packaging is great, the quality of the strap is extremely high, the buckle mechanism is simple to use and elegant, and the installation of the strap by cutting off of the excess was simple. Honestly, I think anyone who does not use the Kore belt and chooses to use an old style belt, might as well throw away their computer in favor of an abacus. The product is that good and a technical marvel.

I bought the Kore belt and its a brilliant track belt. Amazing functionality without the holes and quality is on point. Before I bought the belt, I never understood the sheer utility of using a belt without holes, but now I don’t know if I’ll ever go back! Only point of improvement is to make the buckle thinner so it blends better with dress clothing. But on the whole, I highly recommend this belt to anyone in the market for a new one! Thumbs up to Kore!

Just received my first Kore track belt and I am blown away by how quickly it was received and the quality of the belt itself. As someone who fluctuates in waist size rather drastically, even during the day, I always had issues with traditional belts with holes no fitting correctly. This Kore belt is a game changer for me! I highly recommend getting one.

I bought a Mission Belt, within a year the buckle mechanism fell apart. There are two small pins that anchor the buckle to the belt lock. The first time the pins fell out I was able to find the pins and reinstall them. The second time it happened I lost one of the pins and was unable to use the belt. I bought a cheap belt at Walmart so I could finish my EMT shift. I repaired the buckle with a piece of #12 bare copper wire. I recently bought a Slide belt, the buckle is a superior design and is holding up nicely. The video was nicely done, thank you.

Kore makes the best belts and buckles, ever! I’ve been using them for over a year now and I’m up to four belts, and now four buckles. The quality and selection are 2nd to none. I was sharing a buckle between my black and brown fashion belts. While easy enough to do, I went ahead and got the buckle to even out my collection of the best belts there are. I couldn’t imagine using a regular/standard belt again. I’m to used to adjusting my belts often to accommodate my comfort level, with gun, with out gun, before meal, after meal, not to mention bloating. It’s so easy to adjust a bit as needed. I can’t say enough how great these are. Everyone deserves to have this belt/buckle. And get the hangers they have. Very useful for hanging the ones you’re not wearing.

I am slowly moving my entire belt collection to Kore. I have 6 Kore belts now and love them. Having the feeling of a perfect fit each time and being able to micro adjust will make you not want to wear another belt.

Kore is the best belt hands down! I got fed up with spending money on belts with holes that dont last very long. After research I came across Kore and have to say it’s the best belt I have ever owned. Ordering was very easy and shipping to Canada was fast!. The quality is fantastic and fits perfectly after you customize to your desired length. Highly recommended!!

Kore was the best for me. I was intrigued and did a ton of research on these kind of belts with no holes. I hated the holes because they made my belts look awful and they were always loose. So I ended up buying 2 different brands to test because I couldn't make up my mind online. Now I prefer the Kore belt. I won’t mention the other by name because it was a good decent belt. But the kore leather is super nice and the buckle function was the best. Especially the stainless steel buclkes are superb. I just ordered a second Kore belt in brown for myself and one for my dad for christmas.

    Loving my new belt!
I am really enjoying my new Trakline belt. I've been a fan of the ratcheting belts for a few years now and this was my first on from Kore. I'm 6' 2" and 225 pounds and my waistline DOES fluctuate based on everything from how much I've eaten to which pants I'm wearing. Having the quarter inch adjustments is great! I've had a couple others from a different company and they were nice belts but eventually they wore out and I needed a replacement. Because of their buckle style my wife referred to them as my "Boyscout belts" so when I saw I could get a quality ratcheting belt with a normal looking buckle I was pretty happy about it. I considered buying cheap but read some reviews and made the decision to spend a little extra on something that was real leather and looked solid. Definitely worth the extra money. I've only been wearing it a few weeks but so far I have no complaints and I don't expect to down the road. This is a nice belt.....get one, spend a couple weeks with it and you won't wear anything else.

I've been wearing the same Kore belt for 6 years straight! I bought it back in June 2013 when they just launched the company on Kickstarter. It's the Evolve stainless buckle and black full-grain leather belt and I have been wearing it ever since. Never looked back. The belt finally began looking worn out so I ordered a new leather belt last week but kept my original buckle cause it still works good and looks great. But man... that original belt really held up with a lot of abuse! Can't recommend highly enough!

    The Only Belt !
I tried a Kore Trakline belt months ago and I'll never buy a regular belt again. I bought another one for myself and another as a present for a neighbor. I bought all 3 gun belts. It holds it's shape and holds my firearm but looks great doing it. The ease of adjustments is far superior and in small increments that can be done sitting at a table or in your car in a second.

    Hi Peter -
It's great to see someone do an honest, informative and in-depth comparison review of the major ratchet belt brands - Kore Trakline Belt, Mission Belt and Slidebelt. And of course, we were happy to see that you personally thought our Kore Trakline belt was the "Clear Winner" in the category. It's true we offer the best selection of unique buckle styles, awesome quality leather belts and the most adjustability with over 42+ size positions. Thanks again !

All the reviews and comments on these Kore belts are true! After purchasing other ratchet belts, which were inferior in my opinion, I did my research and due diligence and got the Kore Essentials belt which are by far the best ratchet belt on the market. The only design improvement I would recommend is to use a flat release tab oppose to the round one.

TRAKLINE BELT -- I’m glad I bought two!
One black, one brown -- that pretty much covers all my fashion needs! This would be a great belt at a great price even if it was a conventional belt. The quality and workmanship of the leather and the design and feel of the buckle are that good. That I can easily fine-tune the fit of the belt for whatever reason is a bonus. It's such a simple concept, you wonder why no one thought of it sooner, but the way it is executed -- the ratcheting mechanism, the hidden quick-release -- show a lot of design work and engineering went into this product. Extremely well-executed. And the on-line purchasing experience was simple and swift. I strongly recommend this product and the website. Thanks!

    Kore Makes an Excellent Belt
This is my second Kore belt after ordering the first one a month ago. This Is a high quality belt and worth the investment. I believe this belt will last a long time. I bought this belt to replace a lesser quality belt from a different company. I am still able to use the ratchet buckle from that belt. The whole process with Kore was excellent. From ordering and shipping notification to delivery. Very easy and convenient. I am very satisfied.

I’m honestly telling you my draw times at USPSA matches went down using this belt and the people I shoot with even noticed. This belt is so stiff my draws are way way more consistent and my mags are in the same exact spot for faster reloads! These Kore belts are just as good for competition shooting sports as they are for edc.

So far this Kore belt has been awesome. It holds my S&W 9mm 2.0 compact with NO problem. It's a solid gun belt. If you have back issues this is the belt for you. I've had 3 back surgeries and usually can't wear a belt for a long time. Let me tell you, with this belt being stiff if distributes all the weight and pressure equally all the way around your waist. I love the quarter inch adjustment. I can wear this belt all the time with with a iwb holster. I wear this belt with and without my gun, it's that good.

Agree completely with your Review. I’ve Purchased and worn 5 Mission Belts. Mission Belts fray along their sides (length) and it is a bit misleading to say “Leather.” It is up to the Consumer to verify, so that’s on me. After 3 months one of the buckles pins (holding Bar in place on the side) popped out. I was not going to deal w/hassle of returning. After watching Your Review, I went to KOREESSENTIAL website. I’ve ordered 1 of their Tactical Belts and their Bi-fold wallet (full grain leather) Thanks for your Review.

I recently dropped my Slide belt and broke the buckle. I decided to replace it with a Kore essentials combo of one buckle and two belts, and I am glad I did. The Kore buckle is made of higher quality metal, and the belt does not detach from the buckle while putting on the belt as the slide belt did.

I think the major thing which you completely glossed over here is the mechanism of release. I've used both the Kore system and SlideBelt, and the SlideBelt is the clear winner when it comes to functionality, the release system is much easier to operate when attempting to release the belt.

I prefer the kore essentials belts. This past year I've been fortunate enough to own and experiment with several kinds of these belts with tracks. I will leave names aside. And I must say, most are better than my regular belts, except my comfort click belt, which quite frankly broke after a short spell. I can tell you that personally that the kore essentials belts are my favorite accessories. The leather and buckles seem to be of the best quality and I do like the style here. They do cost a smidge more but I prefer quality. Just my opinion.

I own 2 KORE gun belts and they're the best gun belts I have ever worn by a very wide margin. The X1 Tactical belt is rigid enough to properly support a full size 1911 in an OWB holster under comfortable tension. My daily CCW is a M&P Shield with a spare mag, both IWB, and the KORE gun belts allows me to carry all day without any discomfort. Most days I wear Jeans and a T-shirt, and I prefer the X1 Tactical belt when in these clothes. For anything less casual I wear the X3 Leather belt. Fit and finish, as with the X3 Leather belt, is exceptional, and both are attractive as well. Cutting the belt to fit and attaching the buckle is an easy task, and adjusting the belt is easier than any belt I've worn in the past, even more so than with prior gun belts. So I would recommend checking out KORE belts for high quality, comfortable gun belts.

Personally I Love the Kore belts. I was going to order a similar design from a Kore competitor, but saw reviews stating that the Kore Essentials Trakline belts were made of better materials (leathers). I don't have a personal experience with those competitors, but am definitely excited by my new Kore Icon buckle and top-grain fashion belt which I've been comfortably wearing for days now. I now think about my belt less, not more-which is the main point !

  • @jrasicmark1

Thank you. I just ordered a similar belt called HIMI and found it did not come with instructions on how to fit it. Its listing on Amazon had very basic instructions with pictures, but when I tried following them, they didn't work. It said the end of the belt without a buckle should fit under the teeth of the buckle, but I could not get it to fit no matter what. So I tried to find a video. And there were customer videos in the listing on Amazon, but none of them seem to show how to fit the darn thing. So I think I cut it to the wrong size so it probably won't fit and I can't return it. So I found this video looking for a belt that is easy to fit. I'm glad to hear you say these all come with instructions, but I'd feel even better if they also had videos showing how to fit them properly. I confess I haven't watched your video all the way through, but I looked ahead and I don't see a demonstration of actually fitting any of them. Can you recommend where I can find videos of any of these?

I purchased a Kore brand ratchet buckle to replace my Mission Belt buckles I use with several Mission belts. The Mission buckles kept falling apart and reviews said the Kore buckles were simple and bulletproof - I could not agree more. The Kore buckle is far superior to the Mission buckle and works with their belts, so I win. I will definitely look to Kore for future belt purchases and suggest you do the same if your a guy.

Kore's trakline belt is the best ever!
I’ve tried competitor brands of belts that make the same claim of adjustable comfort and I can tell you that the Kore belt is simply superior, as it offers more finite adjustments with the belt. And the overall quality of the buckle seems better, as well as the leather quality. I highly recommend the KORE belt over the other brands.

There's no comparison as to how well they work when buckled. I tried THREE different slide belts and they are all very noisy once buckled. The track tab is spring-loaded and when engaged, it pushes up on the locking mechanism causing it to come slightly loose, which results in a quite a bit of noise. Their customer service is top notch and tried to work with me to figure it out but its ultimately a design flaw so I returned it.

I received my new KORE Trakline X2 Gun Buckle & Black Reinforced Belt today. I order this for my CCW weapon which is a Glock-36 (45acp) and I have to say this belt holds my OWB holster with gun & 2 spare mags perfectly! The belt is very comfortable and I really like how the trakline & ratcheting buckle system works. It's NO joke! You will get the perfect fit every time you put this belt on. :) Throw out your old style of belts that has the holes.. No more oh it's too tight or to loose. I can not see myself ever going back to a belt with holes for adjustments now that I have my new Kore Trakline Belt. It's a perfect fit every time I put it on. The quality of the leather is Top-Notch. This belt is amazing and I recommend it to everyone. Thank you Kore Essentials for Great Customer Service, Fast Shipping, and An Awesome Belt!

In my opinion Kore makes a first-class belt. Mine are almost 2 years old and besides a few minor marks they look like new. I wear either the black or the brown almost every day because it's the best darn belt I own. I don’t wear any of my old belts anymore with the holes. Now that I'm used to the track belt my old belts seem annoying and they don't fit as good.

As my wife will tell you I am a big belt junkie. Its true I do love belts and own over 50 if not more from nice fashion to walmart junk belts. Watching this review made me get all my belts out and do my own analysis. They needed organizing anyway and some should be thrown out. I rotate between about 8-10 belts at the moment but if I had to choose 1 it would be Kore. I do also like my Anson, grip6, Burberry, and Slidebelt quite a bit.I will admit that the ratchet belts are my favorite because you can adjust in a second while walking.THe grip6 and groove belts you cant realy adjust as you walk. You have to undo them and they dont look as nice unless your going hiking.I don;t buy belts anymore from stored Macys or Walmart. They are cheaper but as you would expect they made cheap too and don;t hold up as well and I don;t like belt holes anymore.Time to put the belts back,

I have a virtual belt collection and if i was honest I would say that Mission belt is very narrow belt more kid sized using genuine leather and the buckle is pretty jinky. Slide belts are nicer but the leather isn't great unless you buy there expensive belts and buckle choices are limited and they slip on occasion. Kore belts are my favorite because they hav more buckle choices better leather and buckle locks best. Grip 6 is a flat large metal square that looks like utility belt but won't rally support anything on it and doesn;t adjust on the fly, I use it camping sometimes.

I've been wearing belts like this since 1998. I'll never go back to a belt with holes. I first bought one on China on a trip I took for my job. The buckle and belt look identical to the Mission belt and buckle. Let me tell you that the spring in the Trackline belt will wear out many years before the magnet in the Mission belt. The magnet is actually a better design. I wore that first belt every day for 16 years. During those 16 years I I searched all over for a replacement belt because I expected it to not last forever. In 2001 I bought another almost identical belt on another trip to China and put it in the closet for future use. It says Pierre Cardin on the deluxe case it came with. After 14 tears the magnet actually wore out. I took a solid metal one off a refrigerator magnet and fixed it good as new in 30 seconds. You won't fix a broken spring that easily. About a year later the plastic ratchet insert cracked, but it still worked. I wore it for another year. And then the polyurethane coating on the leather started to peel off and the chrome plating on the buckle started to wear off. The magnet is perfect. So I took out my spare. The polyurethane coating on that belt was already deteriorating while in the closet. But the buckle looks good. I bought a new strap from EasyBelt. It is ' Genuine leather covered with Polyurethane". I bought a buckle with a different color strap with it too. I interchange the three buckles on the same straps. I am considering buying a Mission belt. They have a 40 mm wide Nylon strap belt. It looks like another material on the bottom, but it has the identical sewn in plastic ratchet strip. They sell the leather belts in 35 and 40 mm widths in a rainbow of colors and have kids sizes. I do agree that full grain leather is better. It does cost more. Any of the belts you reviewed will probably last 10 or 15 years. There is no wear from bending. The weakest point is probably the plastic ratchet insert. You don't have to bend the belt to insert it in the buckle. If you do bend it, the insert will be the first thing to crack. But that will probably not happen for a long time.

For me Kore makes the best no holes belts. There leather is fantastic and buckle mechanism locks the buckle in solid. I had a few of the other brands and they are not as good. But if you need a no holes belt for women or kids the kore wont work, they just do mens belts.

While my new Kore Trakline belt appears to be quite robust, and I very much appreciate the top-grain leather as opposed to the low quality genuine leather that is found in most other belts *ahem* (Looking at you, Mission), I have only had the belt for a few weeks so cannot yet comment on its durability. The only reason that I haven't given this belt 5 stars as of yet is due to the lever being a little stiff. I am sure that this will remedy itself with use. Otherwise, a stellar product. Highly recommend it, both for aesthetics and functionality.

Kore trakline belts win. I've been wearing Slidebelts (8) exclusively for the past 4 years, love their buckle, but the full-grain leather... meh. This is what tempted me to try Kore Belts, well, I am sold, their leather is awesome, and, I love the buckles even more than the SB ones! Will keep wearing both brands, but Kore is now my top kit for work and evening wear.

One of the 'negatives' about the Slidebelt is in my view a positive that fills a useful place in the market: for those of us who want to avoid animal skin, the fact that they offer a non-leather alternative is one of the main selling points of their belts. There are an increasing number of consumers who want leather-look products but don't like the idea of an animal being killed to make their belt/shoes/wallet etc. Now of course with all fake leather products there may be question marks about the quality and durability of the material compared to real leather, but that's an entirely separate consideration.

There are a lot of these adjustable belts coming out and they are just a way better design than traditional belts. The Trakline belts are the best I have seen, and I really love mine. My EasyBelt did that too when I got it. The slot is a little too wide for the thickness of the leather. I double-side-taped a piece of cardboard from a cereal box inside the buckle to act as a shim. You can't see it. It has never slipped again.

There is another spec that should have been addressed: the clamp that holds the standing end of the belt. I have a dBurg and the teeth of the latch that holds the cut end of the belt keeps ripping out and I have to cut off another half inch to reassemble the belt. A good - science based - test would be to find how much pressure the clamp can stand.

I have a casual brown "leather" belt from Slide Belt. I love the look of the belt and the buckle. But, the teeth in the adjustable size part of the belt broke. I had to get out a knife to cut out the broken teeth lest there be a problem getting the belt open. I told Slide Belt about the problem and they sent me a replacement. The teeth broke on the replacement as well. I don't know if I just hard on the belt or what, but plastic teeth don't seem to be the right material for this application. I suggested metal teeth. We have had metal zippers for around a hundred years and never had a problem with the flexibility of pants, so I assume a metal slide with teeth should be able to work.

You should all know that the Trakline belt by Kore is not made of full grain leather. It's bonded leather. I pulled mine apart and took pictures to send to Kore. You can see the pictures and read the review on the amazon listing for the belt. www.amazon.com/Track-Endeavor-Buckle-Full-Grain-Leather/dp/B015QON42K/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
(look up one-star reviews to find my review with the pictures)
I've owned one of each of these belts for at least a year each now and all of them are decent belts. The only one that isn't wearing as well over time is the slidebelt belt. The mission and the Trakline (Kore) are both showing no wear after quite a bit more overall use than the slidebelt has gotten but the slidebelt is starting to crack slightly. (the mission belt has gotten the most use overall fyi but the Kore has seen it's share of wear as well.)
The trakline is more money and because it's supposed to be full grain. besides the deception in marketing it as full grain, there's just no reason to pay them more money, go with one of the mission belts that are the same quality or even a slidebelt that seems to be fairly close.
    Update - Jan 2018.
The slidebelt, trakline, and Mission belts all continue to look and wear about the same as each other. All of them have developed small cracks ans show some wear at this point but nothing that is really visible while wearing them. No real difference in looks or performance among them. I still recommend going with the less expensive belts as price seems to be the only real differentiator.

    • @Koreessentialsbrand
      @Koreessentialsbrand 6 років тому +2

@Craig - First, the KORE belt in this video is indeed Full-Grain leather. The photos you're referring to on Amazon are almost 2 YEARS OLD (May 2016). We upgraded our belts in late 2016. When you bought your belt it was genuine leather. At this point ALL our classic double-stitched fashion belts have 3 layers. The outermost layer is a single full length piece of FULL-GRAIN LEATHER. The center is a fabric to support the track - all track belts do this. The inside layer is a single, full-length piece of TOP-GRAIN LEATHER. Our smooth fashion belts and gun belts are currently 2 full-length pieces of Top-Grain leather. These layers are stitched together and very durable. I believe our products descriptions state all this. Thanks.

+ Craig Brown -- You obviously don't know what bonded leather is. Layers of various materials, one of which is leather, is not bonded leather; bonded leather is small pieces of leather layed out in a sheet and held together with a bonding agent...glued, in other words. It's like the difference between a laminated wood beam and particle board. Before you accuse a company of lying, you should know what you're talking about.

KORE BRAND ???... OK, this is going to sound really harsh and I guess it is but it sounds like you're telling me that you only deceived preople before 2016? Since then you've been honest about things? So is the statement meant to ask for your customers forgiveness??

    • @seikibrian8641

+ Craig Brown "I'm very much aware of what bonded leather is."
It seems that you aren't, or at least weren't, because you said that THIS belt...the one shown in THIS video...is bonded leather. I don't give a rat's ass about the one you bought years ago; you said that THIS belt was bonded leather. And before you go editing your comment again to try to cover your mistake, here's the direct quote: "You should all know that the Trakline belt by Kore is not made of full grain leather. It's bonded leather." Nothing there about "previous versions" or "a past model."

I say that Kore belts are the best ratchet type belts I have used so far. I have 1 of there tactical nylon gun belts and 2 non gun belts in leather and quality is above my slide belt and mission belts for sure. As a matter of fact those belts are kinda junky to be honest. Finally I have both fashion and strength! The Kore and the Nexbelt are the only two belts I have ever seen that work that well i.e. does the job and not just for looks.
      USA
“There are a lot of ratchet belt companies popping up like weeds on the internet these days. Most charge a lower price, and you may wonder why you should choose Nexbelt over these startups. Why is Nexbelt considered a premium belt? Let us tell you our story.
Our company is seven years old and is one of the originators of the ratchet belt in the USA. We didn’t invent the ratchet system, we re-engineered it and made it better. The technology has been around for 25 years and is very popular in Asia. And that’s where one of the founders of Nexbelt, Eddie discovered it. He brought it back to his business partner Tom and discussed what could be done better. The first thing we did was to upgrade the leather - something most companies don’t do today. We utilized the existing mechanism but designed a buckle to resemble a pin buckle - and a golf buckle that had a hidden ball marker behind the face - which we received US patents for.
One significant difference between our company and others is that we design and build our own tools & molds. We don’t take a pre-existing mold and slap our logo on it. We’ve made the time and money to design and engineer something that is unique and better - that represents our design and engineering philosophy. We strive to be different to be the best.”
