Agreed. It’s called EDC for a reason. There is no reason to pack more than a gun and an extra mag on an edc. This isn’t combat its every day carry. The Nexbelt is plenty stiff to keep a pistol in place but flexible enough to allow full range of motion no matter what you’re doing
I'm looking now for a good edc belt and for the same reasons you mentioned was looking at the Nexbelt. If you guys are familiar with blue alpha gear edc belt how does the Nexbelt compare. That's and stay safe gentleman.
@@johndel1971able I like cobra buckles a lot and when they became available on “rigger belts” it was a game changer. No more dealing with undoing that old parachute buckle just to take a dump lol. Having said that I only really like those type of belts when geared up. The nextbelts are nice because they’re super lightweight. Don’t look “tactical” at all really and the ratcheting system is hands down the way to go for EDC. Say for instance if you carry appendix and you get in your car. It takes the push of a button to loosen the belt enough to be comfortable while seated and allow the pistol to sit better. Tightening the belt is just as simple. The nexbelt is think but stuff. It won’t sag under the weight of a gun etc. The blue alpha gear belts are top notch but in my opinion just less user friendly when dealing with adjusting multiple times a day. I also don’t feel they are as stiff for the weight of material. It’s a trade off. Wearing a belt every single day I’d go with nexbelt personally. Keep in mind everyone has their preferences for gear of course.
I have both of those belts. The next belt is way more comfortable. I have a belly so the buckle on the next is oval. Which makes it not dig into my belly. Next over the kore 100%. The kore is so stiff it makes sitting down uncomfortable as hell. If you have a belly and your a dad bod get the next belt. I waisted my money to figure it out
I switched to Kore last year and is definitely superior to the Nextbelts I had. I cc med to heavy rigs like Glock 19 and 1911 IWB. My Kore is more supportive, buckle locks better and quality is 2x as good. And yes like 1776 said its a couple dollars more but way worth it.
I, like many, have tried several different belts for conceal carry even those very expensive ones. The Kore belt is hands down the best for multiple reasons. - ease of use (ability to adjust w/o messing with buckles or hook n loop - just a push of a button it expands or tightens) - heavy duty for all your conceal carry and day range needs - I find it more comfortable than most and find I can wear it longer without issue of “fatigue” Bottom line is this is the best belt for the price and if I would have come across Kore last year I would have saved myself A LOT of $$$.
I have tried EVERY BRAND OF BELTS RECOMMENDED BY ALL TYPES OF PEOPLE. KORE ESSENTIALS IS BY FAR, WITHOUT A DOUBT THE CLEAR CUT WINNER. I will no longer wear any other belts. I have had the same black tactical belt with the x2 buckle for 3 years now and THE ON PLACE THAT SHOWS WEAR IS WHERE MY IWB HOLSTER CLIPS ON. The quarter inch adjustments are the life saver of the day and i have my eyes on there battle belt series which is still on 1.75 inches wide but is rated to hold 20 pounds... i dont know about you but my kore tactical was EASILY able to hold twice the weight it was rated for. Even tho its seems like these belts should break easily... THEY JUST DON'T! Another AMAZING feature of these belts is after wearing them for 3 months they will start to conform to your normal shape and if you lose or gain weight they will re-conform.
I have been wearing Kore Essential belts since June of 2016. I have two of them, but one probably has been worn more than the other. I haven't had any problems with either one of them so I won't be looking for any more belts.
Between me and my wife we have 6 different kore belts they are great hold up and carry any pistol with no issues and they look great also. Thanks for the great videos.

for an appendix carry, I find the nextbelt perfect. They make an appendix-specific belt with a tiny buckle which is awesome for being able to get it out of the way.
Belt loops help with rigidity as well. So from belt loop to belt loop your not gonna be flexing that much. Love the feel of a thinner belt. Appendix carry for me. Nexbelt gets it done.
I haven’t used the Kore belt yet but plan to. But I think this review was a paid by review. The Nextbelt is a very well constructed belt and I have no hang ups like in the review as well as no wear on the leather. I have been wearing mine for 2 years now and it’s still stiff as day one. The only thing it lost was the coating on the buckle is a little worn, but that doesn’t change the function. The toggle that engages and disengages the belt on and off works very well as well and have never had the problem claimed in the review. If you would have said they are both great belts but the Kore is a little more ridgid I would have taken this review more serious. On that note, I do still plan to get a Kore belt to try it out. I’m sure I won’t be disappointed, as i am not disappointed with the Nextbelt.

Kore makes a great belt and even better customer service. My belt is the original with the buckle without the set screws. ~ 1 year ago my buckle broke. I contacted Kore and they replaced no questions asked. The belt was probably 2 years old at the time!!
Exactly the same story here. Got the first model with no screws and it gave up after a year of edc. I've got replacement with the reinforced buckle and new belt very quickly (even I am not from the US). I hope this one will last forever and if not, I am buying another one. This is the best belt I know.
Broke a pair of nice scissors trying to cut this kore to size. Not really mad. This belt is solid. I thought it would be a little uncomfortable being so thick but I don’t even notice it much at all. I can always find the perfect fit with this system.
Hey guys Kore now makes a 1.75 range belt. I have one in ranger green and its stellar for heavier loads. They also do a ratcheting battle belt that micro adjusts, I want that next.
The Kore nylon belt is OK and I like the stiffness, but the lack of taper on the end makes it really hard to fit through loops on a lot of my pants. Also, the clips on my IWB Black Arch holster have been chewing up the bottom of the belt. I got a leather Nexbelt and like it much better than the nylon Kore belt so far for EDC. The extra rigidity of the Kore belt is helpful, though, when wearing an outside the waistband holster and a heavy gun during competition.
Just picked up one this weekend and im on day 3 but by far the best belt I ever owned. I got the tan with x7 buckle or whatever its called but its a 7 somthing. Holds my gun rite where I want it and iv noticed I can acualy wear my gun holstered in the car driving!! Today's my 1st day at work without a gun and I don't think iv had to pull up my pants at all! Again best belt iv ever owned but its my 1st ratcheting belt so time will tell. But absolutely recommend them. I go through an expensive heavy leather belt every 6 months tops so this better make it a year!
Thank you for this review it verified my initial choice for a ratcheting gun belt. I got my 1st Kore leather belt at almost 5 yrs also and shortly after that purchase I bought my 2nd leather one. These allowed me to have a gun belt to wear when dressed up. When the tactical versions came out I got black & tan ones. I have since given them as Xmas presents and made more loyal KORE fans of their dress belts. They had to buy their own gun belt versions though 😉. They are the only belts I use whether carrying or not. The variety of different buckles has increased allowing a nice selection.
I get 30% off of Nexbelt through USCCSA or NRA. As soon as I find the same discount on Kore I might switch. I have had no issues with the Nexbelts which I own and I have 3 of them.
The problem with stiffer belts is that it doesn't conform with the shape of your waistline. it's tighter at the sides while it stays rounded at the front and back leaving a space, especially at the small of your back.
I have been wearing Kore Essential belts daily. I have the Black and Brown leather belts and they still look new after about 2 years. We all know the Shadow 2 is a heavy pistol, I wore it to the range with my Kore belt and almost forgot I had it on because the support the belt provided.
12 hours ago I started researching tactical Cary belts, never heard of Kore, Nexbelt, etc. But Kore seems to be the complete winner from what I have watched
The new Kore belt has the set screws now but the gen one buckle did not. I had 3 Kore belts (2 nylon and one leather) and all had issues with material separating and bubbles forming where the separation were. I also had problems with the corners that enter the buckle fraying on both nylon belts. I had a gen 1 buckle and had it come off the belts once, luckily I was in my backyard but my pistol and pants hit the ground. I also had to trim the belt where the buckle attached once a month to keep fresh material in the clamp of the buckle or the buckle would come off the belt. The Kore belt is definitely more rigid than the Nexbelt and did support larger pistols better. I’m 2 months into the Nexbelt and so far so good. I do want to try the gen2 buckle for Kore that has the set screws. Just for reference I am 6 foot tall 280lb construction worker. I wear these belts all day every day. I carry 2 pounds of stuff in my pockets at work and a pistol when I am at home.

I have a kore belt, at one month over a year the track has come apart. I called kore to see if they wanted it back to see what had failed so soon. I was informed it was out of warranty at one year and would not replace the belt and they didn’t want it back. I’ve had dress belts last longer. There customer service was horrible as well.
Sorry to hear. I can tell you that we always extend our year warranty for that type of rare defect. I see that you bought your belt 3 years ago in Aug of 2017. Our customer service is actually stellar and we get complimented on it all the time.
KORE BRAND Yes, and I contacted customer service in 2018. The attitude in this reply is exactly what I was met with a month out of my 1 year warranty. I stand by my original reply. Sad that you don’t stand by your product.

I've used 4 different belts. Bianchi, 511, Vtac a Nexbelt. I've carried a Kimber TLE 2(6inch, 45oz, S&W 627 V-Comp(5.5inch, 47oz), Glock 35 Gen3, S&W 640, S&W 642 & Kimber K6(3inch). Never an issue with either belt. But durability is a separate story. Binanchi is all broken. The rest are ok.
Never had a Nextbelt but on my second Kore belt and buckle. First one came apart on me in a year. They were very stand up and sent me another updated design. Going on 2 years with it and it's coming apart as well.
Kore G1 Tactical Garrison is hands down best belt ----gone through 30 plus belts since edc start 1988 and this is best so far...its rated to 10lbs of carry. Still wish release latch was a lil bigger due to muffin overhang issue with me but thats on me, not the belt. I have the Kore Leather X1 and is fine---but my edc is heavier and carried mostly on the belt so needed the wider is better and I found it. Leather stays for dress up and thus lighter duty carry and gun goes on shoulder holster then as well.
Mr. 1776 is correct in his assessment kore belts are the better option. I will tell you that our small firearms shop carries Kore essential tactical beltts. We had a few nexbelts originally but they had breakage issues and customers complained that they rolled and sagged too much. Thats our experience.
Have both brands and your assessment is right on...also on the NextBelt the allen stripped out - likely user error though...my weight to fluctuates from summer to winter and like the adjustability...
I have both and prefer the NexBelt by a slim margin. I would say having more than one is cool because you leave one looped into your jeans or EDC pants.
Like the safe. Love the decal collection. Good video. This is the ! confirmatory vid that has me happy I ordered a Kore. I had never heard of this company as of 3 hours ago. I got the Buffalo Black with the American flag buckle.
Watch my video on the next belt if you wana see them fail. The Kore belt is still going strong now after a couple years and is FAR superior. My Kore belt is still as smooth and has as strong of a lock up as day one and barely has any sign of use. Those that have the next belt and have had no issues, well that's great and I wish you luck, but me having owned both and having 2 next belts go to crap with less than a month of use I can say the Kore belt is made way better. I would not use the next belt as a carry belt. To risky. Dont want your belt to come undone when carrying a firearm.
Yes we've seen that video of nexbelt failing - ua-cam.com/video/-YW2vxxr9QM/v-deo.html Please email us at info@KoreEssentials.com so we can send you an upgraded 2.0 Kore Belt so you can update that video. Thanks
Kore belts are the best belts ever for me.I bought the 1.75 inch wide nylon edc belt wore it a week and jumped back on the website and grabbed another nylon In a different color and buckle, and a tacticle belt. These belts are seriously tough
I have a blade tech belt which I think is identical to the next belt. It’s a few years old and the buckle just broke. So I ordered another one and it’s not as rigid as the old one. It’s also a little wider now so idk what they did but immediately without carrying I was about to return it.
I’ve tried 2 Nexbelts and they suck. The backbone of the belt keeps cracking so the fabric is the only thing holding it together. I’m not talking just one or two cracks. It’s like cracked in 10+ spots. Prolly easily lost like 90% of its rigidity. Nexbelt customer service was super cool about replacing it twice but I don’t want to go through a support request every few months to replace something that shouldn’t have happened.
I was really looking at Nextbelt over KORE until I saw someone fold the Nextbelt (vertical). Initial rigidity is very important as it will affect how the belt looks and feels 2-5 years later. PS. Go look at a diagram of how your pants are supposed to sit and where your belt should be. Your belt should be at your waistline, and it should not be resting on your hips.
The new Supreme apendix nexbelt is far more stiff than there older versions and also the belt buckle is alot smaller. After I tried it it no comparison to kore imo
Nexbelt is trying to win with marketing now... They are offering UA-cam "influencers" to rebrand their belts. I've had a Kore for 4 years. They redesigned the belt a few years ago. Well, my original belt broke and Kore warrantied it hassel free and shipped me a new one in a few days for free. Great company that takes care of their customers and keeps making improvements. The new belt they sent me will NEVER fail the way my first one did.
The kore nylon gun belt was not comfortable at all even after months of wear that thing was like wearing 10 seatbelts with an aluminum sheet in the middle.
We stopped selling Next belts we had to many of them break down and long time customers complaing. There good for a few months then they have systemic core snaps. Boss got tired with so many returns. No more Next belts for us.
Nice video! Have you tried the leather belts? I’m not a fan of the nylon ones, so I run a leather belt. It’s a Nexbelt but mine is made by BladeTech, and it has the same ratcheting system. Personal preference, I guess, but I think the leather looks nicer. If Kore makes a leather belt, I might give it a try.
Blade-Tech - Ultimate Carry Belt (Black/Leather) www.amazon.com/dp/B07DWY89RR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_E2K0Db0TBT1QB It literally says BladeTech by NexBelt on the inside. Interesting.
Probably the same with Nebelt, but core belts are definitely made in China. I failed to properly research it and bought a leather Kore belt. The leather is not very high quality, I cut it apart and it is cheaply made.
Naaa, I was checking them out, I'd rather stick with my leather 2 inch wide tooling leather belt made by Klein.... i don't know how that ratcheting system would react during a scuffle...
The kore edc belt is way too stiff. Trying to run it through belt loops is a PITA in my opinion. I do have the standard kore belt which I use for edc and i don’t know why you need anything more Ridgid. Unless your hips are made of jelly the belt isn’t going to contort the way you suggested.
All these belts are made in the same Chinese factory. All owned by the same people. They make it look like your choosing different companies. Just different marketing teams and product names.
@@allannahar1786 I've been using them for years since they originally came out and they just get better every time I have no issues with any of the ones that I own

I get 30% off of Nexbelt through USCCSA or NRA. As soon as I find the same discount on Kore I might switch. I have had no issues with the Nexbelts which I own and I have 3 of them.
I didn’t know this but don’t see it advertised on their website. I’ll give them a call tomorrow
Love Kore belts!
The problem with stiffer belts is that it doesn't conform with the shape of your waistline. it's tighter at the sides while it stays rounded at the front and back leaving a space, especially at the small of your back.
I had 2 nexbelts but both broke in like 6 months. The buckle magnets shattered and fell out and i had to toss them out.
I have been wearing Kore Essential belts daily. I have the Black and Brown leather belts and they still look new after about 2 years. We all know the Shadow 2 is a heavy pistol, I wore it to the range with my Kore belt and almost forgot I had it on because the support the belt provided.
Kore All day for me. Great review. To each their own but CCW Kore is King.
Kore Essential is a nice belt good stuff!
Please review Nexbelt's new Supreme Appendix Belt, seems like a better and comfortable design.
12 hours ago I started researching tactical Cary belts, never heard of Kore, Nexbelt, etc. But Kore seems to be the complete winner from what I have watched
Spot on. The same issues you had with Nextbelt were the same ones I found.
The Hanks Steel Core belts are unreal! Kore is outstanding, both my go to
The new Kore belt has the set screws now but the gen one buckle did not.
Hi Jason - sorry sounds like your belt was defective. Reach out to us at info@KoreEssentials.com and I can get you a new 2.0 Kore Belt so you can see how much we improved them for Big guys. Thanks
Geez that zucks I've been running mine for years and have had zero issues
Sorry to hear. I can tell you that we always extend our year warranty for that type of rare defect. I see that you bought your belt 3 years ago in Aug of 2017. Our customer service is actually stellar and we get complimented on it all the time.
KORE BRAND Yes, and I contacted customer service in 2018. The attitude in this reply is exactly what I was met with a month out of my 1 year warranty. I stand by my original reply. Sad that you don’t stand by your product.
@@craw5816 We actually stand strong on all our products and go out of our way to take care of customers. If you contact me directly with shipping info and waist size I will get a new Kore belt out to you this week. Thanks. Info@KoreEssentials.com
@@craw5816 Customer Service informed me this morning that you emailed them and we are shipping you a new belt. Glad we could set this right for you. I think you'll see some big improvements on the 2.0 version and hopefully enjoy it for years to come. Thanks.
Been using s.o.e belt for last 5 years. Just ordered a kore to try. Nice review
Thanks for the info and opinion as makes some good sense....Good stuff....
You serious holy cow then I think Kobra buckles are the way to go
Kore G1 Tactical Garrison is hands down best belt ----gone through 30 plus belts since edc start 1988 and this is best so far...its rated to 10lbs of carry.
Good video. This is the
! confirmatory vid that has me happy I ordered a Kore.
Yes we've seen that video of nexbelt failing - ua-cam.com/video/-YW2vxxr9QM/v-deo.html
Please email us at info@KoreEssentials.com so we can send you an upgraded 2.0 Kore Belt so you can update that video. Thanks
Kore and Nextbelt are the same price but from what I have seen and experienced the Kore is step up quality and style wise.
Very Cool carry belts !!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for showing them, 1776
Kore belts are the best belts ever for me.I bought the 1.75 inch wide nylon edc belt wore it a week and jumped back on the website and grabbed another nylon In a different color and buckle, and a tacticle belt. These belts are seriously tough
I have a blade tech belt which I think is identical to the next belt. It’s a few years old and the buckle just broke. So I ordered another one and it’s not as rigid as the old one. It’s also a little wider now so idk what they did but immediately without carrying I was about to return it.
Both are about the same price but for my money kore is the better of the two and more choices like range belts too folks. imho
I have several of both..my opinion - they are close..im good with either
Congrats on over 11k subs!
thanks Dennis
I’ve tried 2 Nexbelts and they suck. The backbone of the belt keeps cracking so the fabric is the only thing holding it together. I’m not talking just one or two cracks. It’s like cracked in 10+ spots. Prolly easily lost like 90% of its rigidity. Nexbelt customer service was super cool about replacing it twice but I don’t want to go through a support request every few months to replace something that shouldn’t have happened.
I really like my Kore leather belt, just wish it was made in USA. Been wearing it everyday for a month, carrying a shield 40.
We have a USA Made Collection. Thanks
Accurate from my vantage. had both and kore is my pref
My blue alpha is super rigid. Just don’t care for the big cobra hookup because of belt loops being to small
Kore is the last belt I'm trying. No need to try anything else. Dress, work. casual. Kore has a belt and buckle for it.
My Core belt turned 6 last month. Happy birthday
hands down with Kore belts, Awesome belt, duty belt, on the range, thumbs up with Kore 👍 D Best.
Appreciate this video a great deal. Thanks!
Appreciate you watching
Alonso Defense Group, Emissary V2...check it out if you're looking for more belts to review.
The kore nylon gun belt was not comfortable at all even after months of wear that thing was like wearing 10 seatbelts with an aluminum sheet in the middle.
Thanks for the review. I just ordered me a kore belt.
We stopped selling Next belts we had to many of them break down and long time customers complaing. There good for a few months then they have systemic core snaps. Boss got tired with so many returns. No more Next belts for us.
How does the leather do with wear and tear from clips? i would think they scuff up easily.
They don't more like an indent. But it's a belt with purpose so it will have marks but nothing so bad you can't wear it daily
For conceal carry both are fine.
Blade-Tech - Ultimate Carry Belt (Black/Leather) www.amazon.com/dp/B07DWY89RR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_E2K0Db0TBT1QB
It literally says BladeTech by NexBelt on the inside. Interesting.
Yes - Kore makes numerous Reinforced leather gun belt versions. We actually patented reinforced ratcheting gun belts. See www.KoreEssentials.com
I wish I would have found this before getting my Nextbelt…
my 2 yr nexsbelt is in tatters
Kore belts are the best for every day carry, period.
I love my kore essentials belt so much, I threw all of my others away. I will never go back to a regular belt
Kore belts are really good from an ipsc shooter
Two and a half minutes in and I know I just need to order another Kore Essential.
I find that Kore is too stiff for appendix carry leaving you with a hula hoop waistline. I have better concealment with the nexbelt
It fits me better because I have no ass🙂

All these belts are made in the same Chinese factory. All owned by the same people. They make it look like your choosing different companies. Just different marketing teams and product names.
If you conceal carry, a little flex doesn't matter does it?
it could as the belt may not be rigid enough to keep the holster from shifting
The Kore belt just don’t last they start cracking with in a year I’ve tried 3 all cracked and broke in a year and I’m definitely not hard on a belt.
What about Kore Essential vs BigFoot gun belts?
Unfortunately I have no experience with bigfoot
1776 or Bust Thanks for the response. I’m heavily leaning toward getting a Kore Essentials belt soon.
@@allannahar1786 I've been using them for years since they originally came out and they just get better every time I have no issues with any of the ones that I own
Kore by far is the best.
KORE for me!
They are basically the same belt. If your a large person and carry a heavy gun and a lot of junk on your belt then Kore might be better for you. Otherwise the Nextbelt is fine and you save a couple of bucks.
Checked out both belts at shot show and kore is better.
