For the dragon breath attack as a LS maini roll towards him 2 or 3 times. Pretty much in his chest. Then while he is breathing out I can get a full combo on his body or head depending what broke already

Pinned! Most melee mains can get under this. For bow users and LBG's we can do it if we're close enough.
Great video, two things to note, deviljho only invades large 5 star monsters that can spawn in all three biomes: Great jagras, pukei and Kulu, so don’t bother checking other monsters for deviljho encounters. Second, the deviljho is technically spawned on the map when it resets after the hour, the game just disguises it’s icon as one of the three beginner monsters so if you walk past a kulu yaku in a volatile zone and you’re palico paintballs it, don’t be surprised if you accidentally marked a deviljho. Happy hunting

For bow users, is the Deviljho bow better / worth crafting if you already have the pink rathian bow? I saw that it had lvl 4 pierce which isn't my favorite shot type. Curious if you've tried it and had any recommendations.

To answer your question now, its sadly not worth it. The Pink Rathian bow is just better overall. No negative affinity, Pierce 3 is better than Spread 3 because you dont need to be upclose and personal and Peak Performance is definitely a low tier skill for MHN just because of its requirement to have full HP.

For the breath attack you can literally just roll under him
Not only do you evade the breath completely with this, you also end up at his vulnerable chest that could can easily wail on while he’s breathing
1:45 DEVILJHO starts off at 5*, so 4* large monster will not trigger it. That is my theory anyway.

If you are close enough, you can dodge towards the direction the Breath attack is coming from and roll right under Jho's head.
Already defeated 2 today; excited for the dragon bonus armor items! =)
The dragon breath attack is the best charge time in the other games and its also the same here which is super awesome for GS

is there a min star rank for him to spawn. because i dont live in an area with lots of nodes and resources i cant level my equipment fast so when i find a 5 star one my thunder weapons still do like no dmg to him even though i can beat a 6 star rath easily with it. im HR 49 so not that high.
Also does anybody know if focus or reload speed effects the speed of SAED or charging phials?

I had my first encounter last night when I tap on a 8star Jaggi and was greeted with the jaws of DEATH in front of my door step. Not gonna lie, It freak F me out😅

Hi! I’m confused about lighting pulses around the ground. Are you saying that blue circle like a lake? Or you talking about the lines that dividing the biomes. Thank you!
Neither. If you look closely in violate areas the ground will turn blue with lightening on and off.

Which jho weapon has the best dps assuming good play and fitting armor sets?
It’s probably dual blades. Burst Lv. 2 is insanity for a weapon skill. This allows you to have Burst Lv. 5 with 3 armor slots open for whatever you want to customize. Its insane.
You see i think they made an amazing job porting this beat to mobile, but there is no way that this monster was designed to be killed in 75 seconds or to be fought without free movement, having to dodge 6 or 7 times to evade an attack where just running to the side would work in any other game is just stupid
100%! I feel like Deviljho is designed for group hunting. Having a tank agro him while the rest of the group attack seems to be what it’s built for. I like Main series one so much better because you can freely move around the map. This one just traps you as a solo player if you don’t have it’s attacks down 😩

I don't know why.. but he seems really easy to defeat solo. I'm HR 87 right now (stopped for 2 months too) and I can defeat a 7 Star with a Rank 7 Thunder LS. May just be undergeared when peeps are having a hard time against him.

@@warwicksulista8320 I tried CB as well, freshly crafted Usurper's Lightning against a 5 star. It works too so I guess you're correct, range is the problem. Hitting the body and the legs would be my suggestion.

Unrelated question but have all of the winter monsters been removed? I cant find a single radobaan or banbaro, they said only barioth would be leaving
You need to advance in the story to re-unlock them I think

Any1 trigger more than 1 invasion in the same volaltile patch of land? Or once u find the deviljo that it and better to find other areas?
I've only fought 1. I've tried about 20 times but no luck
I found more than 1 in an area, within the same hour.
Did invasions will change the biome ? Because in my area should have one biome but after update ( 14march ) its devide to be 2 biome ( and its just swamp / dessert this area never be forest ) but this morning after i found deviljho this area comeback to be one large biome again like before . This is because invasion or just bug ?
Habitats change every hour right now so you'll find them respawning pretty fast.

Any weapon from the new ones that are viable? Is the Diablos bow still the best one?
Deviljhos weapons are pretty insane. But it still doesn't match up to Cera Coilbender so Black Diablos is still queen right now as far as the best weapon.

It Can be any biomes so far, you Can see deviljho biomes appearance are all 3
It actually turns out that encountering Deviljhos is not _completely_ random. It's more like a game of Among Us.
First, the game determines daily at midnight UTC whether a zone can be volatile. If it does, it then _can_ spawn Deviljhos. When it does spawn them, it actually _disguises_ the pickle dinos as other monsters. A zone being volatile means that Deviljhos ARE present and waiting to be found. Once you remove all of the Deviljhos in a given cell (whether by slaying or by paintball), it will cease to be volatile until the next monster reset.
As for which monsters they can be, Great Jagras, Kulu-Ya-Ku or Pukei-Pukei are the only large monsters that are confirmed to be possible Deviljho disguises as of this comment. Of course, not every one of these guys will actually be Deviljhos, so you gotta check any you encounter while a cell is volatile.
Edit: One important note - it turns out that all you need to do to make a region non-volatile again is to _reveal_ the disguised Deviljhos. You don't need to kill or paintball them - though you probably should anyway, since Deviljho is, as of this comment, the only Dragon-element option for every weapon except Hammer, Bow and Dual Blades, and is currently the best option against Radobaan and Diablos if you have trouble making a Legiana weapon.

I see how you roll against the tail swipe. Good tip, roll TOWARDS the tail, not away. The use of invulnerable frames (i-frames) will be better that way. Sometimed rolling away will still hit you so yeah. Enjoy the game fellow hunters!

Those are actually bought. The only way you can get to 40 is if you stack potions from buying packs etc.

I managed to spawn him once ... unfortunatly due to being a 8-star I couldn't defeat him, due to not learning his moves yet

TIPS--Not random .. only show with the following mosters.. = jagras,pukei and kulu yaku.. only these 3 he will show up …
So u don’t have to run randomly
Tzitzi-ya-ku also shows it. This is probably a bug considering there was no mention of it only invading specific monsters.
If the area is still volatile.. then u can search with it.. otherwise go for the first 3 options ..
this monster is annoying af, need alot more practice for 7 star up...and what's up with the biome change since the update lol really ruined my weekly hunts
Amen to that I hate the fact I have to go blind into driving around biomes now. We should have our own map if thats the case.
