Funnily enough, McFarlane did halo figures ages ago. Kinda miss the line actually.
They had the best Halo figures

They were pretty decent, yes. They had their issues in the early runs but when they got to Reach they were firing on all cylinders.
Never really liked their Halo figures, too many ratchet joints for my taste.
Their Halo 3 line was extremely poseable and fun to collect.

I did a repaint of it and I agree, the articulation is horrible and his feet have very little movement so you can't spread his legs much for a wider stance, take a look at my latest video if you wanna see it :3

I think I love how this is more kind to mcfarlane then other people in collecting are, and you are right. For 20 dollars, this isn't a bad figure, but people expect a 20 dollar figure to put Figma and Figuarts out of buisness, when really it is about a fourth to a fifth of the price and what do they expect for the price really

I'm genuinely surprised you like this thing so much. The articulation is embarrassingly limited, and there's so much missing paint detail. I kinda hate McFarlane, honestly, I've never had a good figure from them.
Doesn't change the fact that I REALLY want this dude, though.
Aaand I just bought it. Definitely going to have to modify it to get the articulation up to par.

Honestly, I can kinda agree with you. The only figures that I feel like have good articulation with good detail are some of the McFarlane Mortal Kombat 11 figures.
tbh i feel like the articulation matches doom guy as a character, he's all muscle no flex so i feel he would have limited movement. also he wears a suit all day sooo
Yeah mcfarlane seriously needs to work on articulation. Which they have actually greatly improved with there mortal kombat line (specifically the MK spawn, Johnny cage and raided figures)

Here is a tip from an acceleracers collector, use a small drop of acetone on the packaging, it should loosen the glue without damaging the package, if done correctly you should be able to slide the base out and lower the panel back without permanently damaging the glue, or just throw the clear plastic away and not worry about it.
