Just bought a 2022 High Country and it has the same tailgate as the Denali. To be honest I wish it still had the power close option because the functionality is clunky to say the least. I love the step but you need three arms to shut the darn thing. The High Country IMHO is much less an old guy's truck with that bizarre grill on the Denali. To each his own man but in my eyes that is ugggly and the taillights don't stack up to the Chevy either. I love both trucks in the end but glad I went with the High Country for the sportier younger generation look.
@@randallzook5570 I went ahead and ordered the Denali and it's supposed to be here next week ( after almot a 7 month wait ) but I'm going to do some after market changes to it. I went back and forth between the Chevy and the GMC. Purchased a HighCountry 3500HD. My truck has the push buttons in the back door handles. I have a B&W Companion 5th Wheel hitch and absolutely love it. Very happy with the purchase of the truck and hitch.

by far the best interior and depending on color scheme close to the best looking, in my honest opinion. The only issue i have with RAMS is they don't hold value as well as the GM and Ford max trims. If that doesn't matter then who cares, great trucks!
My dad has a 2012 and it has been great. I don’t think the torque numbers they are falling behind on is not that big of a deal because the power these new diesel trucks are putting out is so high compared to their carrying capacity. Thanks for watching.
The headlights on the chev appear to be 6” lower than the gmc. Wonder if there’s much difference in night driving between the 2. I would think the lower headlights would be slightly better in fog or a snow storm.
I went with the High Country to be a little more unique. I had a GMC some years back when there were less of them on the road. Now they seem to be more common than the Chevy HDs.
Same. The high country in particular looks amazing and really grew on me. I threw in a 4" cognito lift and aftermarket 37" wheels and it looks mean. A LOT less high country's on the road than Denalis so the unique factor is nice

My 2020 High Country has rear heated seats and the lock unlock buttons on all 4 doors. You can get the Chevy with the same tailgate. I choose the Chevy over the GMC because of the marker lights on the wheelwells. I had a 19 GMC AT4 with the tailgate which I loved.
Today the chevy has the fancy tailgate as an option. I didn't get it because the tailgate will hit the hitch and I keep mine installed. Especially with the electronic tailgates hitting the hitch is a matter of time IMO. What about price...is that the same?
I think the price was basically the same. I prefer the “non fancy” tailgate for the same reason plus the fancy one will not close itself like ours does. Sorry to hear of the oil leak. We prefer the high country. Nice thing is GM is keeping new truck prices way lower than ford and Ram right now. Check out our other truck videos where we show more about our high country. It is the best truck we have owned so far. Thanks for watching.
@Jaunt Junkies okay I just left the dealership and they said its coming from the bell housing so all they did was added some die to the oil so when I come back for an oil change that they will see how much it's coming out. Hmmm, I really not feeling it so I think that I might trade it now I only have until 36,000 miles warranty and by then my truck will be less, what do you think is this or can it be a major problem?
@@bishopgeorge1333 sorry I am not a mechanic so I can not advise on that. I do know with the 2024s coming out the 2023’s might have some good deals. They are basically the same as the 24 just without the updated interiors and the grill/headlights are redesigned.
@Jaunt Junkies got it understand.
Sorry. But the high country. Is the one I got. Can't put nothing on the gmc. I can put two light bars inside my grill. Mine got the push button on the door handles.
Weird that mine doesn’t.
Will your chevy 3500 fit in your 7 foot garage door?
I think so if I didn’t have so much other stuff in my garage 🤦🏼♂️. Jed puts his GMC in his garage same height door as mine.
I like how the Chevy just looks bigger and badder imo
Thanks for watching. I personally like the Chevy as well.
Great video
Thanks for watching.
Gmc has more of a powerful front end look. The Silverado has a more athletic / sporty look. But are nice but those tow mirrors are ugly.
I kinda agree on the mirrors. Thanks for watching.
Wow i wish i lived in a household that can order 2 different new trucks and not know about it.
It is nice. Thanks for watching.
The Silverado HD High Country looks much better
We like it as well. Thanks for watching.
My 3500 high country has a button on the back passenger door and heated back seats.
Ours has heated back seats as well just not the buttons on the back door handles. Weird. Thanks for watching.
Both its a tie
No wrong decision
High Country.
That was our choice as well. Thanks for watching.
GMC Denali 3500 SRW with the B&W
Thanks for watching.
Love the outside of gmc but the high country inside is my favorite. Love lots of Crome. I have a high country and live it
They are both so nice and have positives in certain areas. Thanks for watching.
I OWN A 3500 HIGH COUNTRY I BET THE DENALY'S GRILL IS HARD TO KEEP CLEAN?
It very well could be. Thanks for watching.
What the price difference
I think the Denali was $1500 more.
My High Country was the same as the Denali with the same features.
High country. Because I have a 21
How are you liking it? We love ours.
What are tellites? Around here we call them “tail lights” haha just joking with ya. We love the Utah accent :). My Silverado has the push button in the rear doors handles. Don’t know why your High Country doesn’t. At first I was shocked at the new Chevy front end, but it’s grown on me a ton and now I love it. So I bought one. They look pretty tough actually. But honestly I think both are beautiful trucks and what I’m pumped about is that GM now offers two completely different looking HD trucks. No one else does. Did your buddy have an aftermarket gooseneck assembly installed below the bed that the Anderson hitch attaches to? Or is that using the GM setup? Best part about these trucks IMO is the driving experience. Powerful, and nice to drive
He used the stock system for his Anderson. Sorry my Utah accent is thick 😂. The Chevy front end has grown on me as well.
Denali all day. Once you get one you can't go back
Thanks for watching. It is a sweet truck.
B&W hitch equipment,all the way.
Agreed
I prefer that Denali
It is a nice truck
Both very nice, but I would give the edge to the GMC. Love that tailgate step!
Thanks for watching. The step seems to be a love it or hate it thing. Our buddy loves it.
I like the chevy better
Thanks for watching. We have really enjoyed our Chevy for a year now.
GMC vehicle always look better then Chevrolet. Even when you compare low trim levels.
That is the great thing with GM you can choose whichever you prefer. Thanks for watching.
GMC…the grill is nice.
It is a great looking grill. Thanks for watching.
High country
👍 thanks for watching.
Gmc big time
Thanks for watching
Curt! All the way.
Curt hitch I am guessing? Thanks for watching.
I like Chevy. GMC= Gay Man's Chevy
Never heard that one before. We do like our Chevy. Thanks for watching.
Chevy 3500 for towing
Thanks for watching. It tows great.
Denali all the way
Thanks for watching it is a sweet truck.
For me High County is more better.
I was a Denali fan until I looked into the high country. Just liked the styling a little more. Can’t go wrong with either of them. Thanks for watching.
This might be the first time in while that the Chevy looks better than the GMC. The GMC wheel wells and flares just look awful. Everything else is a wash.
Thanks for watching
Chevy high country
Thanks for watching
Chevy sucks
😂😂😂
FORD SUPERDUTY ONLY.
Thanks for watching. Super Duty’s are great looking trucks as well.
Had one Had the Dodge always keep going back to the GMs
