Got to run into Frankie, had an adventure with him, and ended up in one of his videos back when I was probably 14. I'm 26 now and that experience is still a core memory that will live with me
there is more important things to play games when yo uget older everything has its time and place my man to all that just play because you are to lazy or bored to do anything else and feel bored playing, JUST STOP its not good @@tofast4you
Everyone in the DayZ community states the same thing. We all got tired of extremely scripted content. All of the nostalgia comes from a time it wasn't as obvious. The magic of DayZ is what happens naturally.
frankie was and will always be a youtube legend, one of the many reasons he quit youtube, was because he was doing it as a hobby the first time, but when the costs of each video were not sustainable and he did not want to make shitty videos, he decided to take a break and never came back :) his face reveal is still legendary lol i still remember the day he posted it... also he inspired a lot of the youtubers you see today.
You can still enjoy him playing on Sadas channel and Frankie also released a video on his channel 2 weeks ago, He hasn't quit he just doesn't edit as much as he used to
In my opinion Frankie is the greatest UA-camr of all time. He basically turned Arma 2 from a completely unknown game into one of the most popular games of the early 2010's with his series on DayZ mod. I feel so blessed to have experienced Arma 2 DayZ first hand during it's peak in 2012-2015, even on my terrible HP Laptop getting maybe 25fps, I consider it to be the most fun I've ever had in gaming. But beyond being a HUGE part of turning DayZ into the massive game it is today, everything the guy did was and still is incredibly good. War Stories were always so interesting and unique and honestly an underrated part of his channel. I wish Frankie all the best of luck, I've heard he's going to be making a return again and I hope it goes extremely well for him.
I worked in the same office building as him across the hall for a while, never spoke to him about YT out of respect for his privacy just brief hello's in the corridor but knew that voice too well to be mistaken. Left after 2 years and on my final day I left a note saying thank you for making mine and many others childhoods better and getting me into gaming which in turn led to my job today and that no matter what path he chose nothing would take away from the memories he helped create. I left that note outside and it rained that day but I hope he got it and just maybe I repaid a fraction of the joy he brought into this world without interfering with his privacy. (This was a year ago now) All the best Frankie no matter what you choose, from the guy in the red car.
tbh I never saw the point of the controversy...Complaining about Frankies videos being scripted is on a par with complaining about wrestling not being real. tbh i always assumed that Frankie either knew everyone on the server he played on, or that it was whitelisted to stop hackers and trolls from ruining his work...The videos were so good that I didn't care in the slightest
Right, its not like he was trying to win a ranked tournament. He definitely seeded his own private server so he didn't have hackers plaguing his streams. it was all in good fun for a content.
I loved watching Frankie’s vids growing up. I watched him back in battlefield 3, which also led me to watching JackFrags as well when they played together. Good times 💜 I was saddened when he took a long break, came back, break, come back, but each time he did post, you’d know it was gonna be quality. I probably watched all his arma series like 2-3 times. Hope he comes back and stays consistent one day 🙏
@@DampONion Like why they don’t play together? One of them made a vid about it and basically said they both make diff content at diff times, but they still friends
@DampONion this video explained why. Jack frags dropped frankie because he was jealous that frankie got more views than him. He basically bitched out.
I'd say almost every content creator in DayZ and in UA-cam in general owes a big thank you to Frankie. Not nearly as many people would be interested in DayZ stories if not for him and his amazing and fun videos. Frankie will forever live on as a legend of DayZ.
Hell most of the content creators for DayZ owe their entire style to Frankie tbh. He's the progenitor of the "Traveling a long distance? Show the map with an animated path to your destination!" thing that Frankie did, among other things.
Frankie just posted another vid. It's a documentary on the Yamato. He stated before that many people love his voice so he is trying something different.
Frankie was also the reason i got into PC gaming and have the friends i have today. I hope he is doing well, and thank you for making a non bias video also for using LTR's music and reminding me of their music!
Frankies early dayz mod videos were filmed on MGT servers. I was an admin on them. It was actual gameplay that happened that he recorded. Towards the end of the time on MGT we helped him with some intros etc like the tank on panthera and jets. This was done on a private server with admins acting for the cinematic. As we were the number 1 server at the time the owner Dave who did everything on the server couldn't keep up with all the extra work so he introduced him to macca at Ccg and he made his videos there mostly on private servers full of loads of mods and scripts which would make it unplayable for a full server. I feel that was when his content started to decline. He only did UA-cam as a hobby while training to become a lawyer. He stopped making videos when he went full time with the company he was at.
i swear it was CCG servers he played on, I remember getting into his one when it was accidentally un white listed for a few minutes and getting to say hello to him while they where setting up for one of the videos
And that's when everything started going downhill.... the scripting, directing, private servers, all the special effects and crap.....all he needed to do was continue playing like a normal person, that's what got him to where he was, and that's what people wanted to see.... Frankie playing normally, having fun and enjoying himself, and sharing the moments with us....he burnt himself out with the BS nobody cared about.... and every time he came back, he kept trying to overproduce the videos, and burnt out again and was sad nobody wanted to watch like his old videos.... because they weren't like the old videos. All he has to do is play, record, and upload, and he'll be back on top in notime.
I remember one xmas eve when my son was about 12 we sat and binge watched his DayZ vids and had such a great time. My son, now 19 still brings it up every now and then about how it was one of the best xmas eves and had such good memories
I am featured in some of the recent episodes of DayZ, and have been slowly seeing the progress of his work since September of 2018. Frankie is an absolute workaholic, and settles for nothing less than what he envisions. He's a really nice guy as well. Great video!
I actually started playing DayZ because of him. and then quit dayz when he poofed. its like having that friend you always play with disappear ya just dont have the drive to play the same games anymore. miss this dude
@@decadunce Yeah it is. His arma videos were cheated. He's a serial cheater and most of his videos are just videos of him blatantly cheating and fucking up the game for others.
I think what we have to accept is that the content made back then when we was kids in middle school or going into high school was something we loved and liked to see. It’s a shame that UA-cam is based on views then more leaning on content creators and the time taken to get it right. Frankie was an amazing artist and UA-camr, I went through some extremely hard times during middle school and high school, his videos kept me going when I just couldn’t anymore.
Dayz 2012-2014 Mod was goated. You literally had to be there. There was a scent in the air man. We never had a zombie survival game like this, and it was on a mil-sim like bro cmon. Bugs, glitches hackers, raging. But you logged on everyday to respawn. From Mid 2012 to mid 2013 was wild on this game. Frankie, Rhino, everyone making youtube videos. Scripted, unscripted. Bandit montages, Hero montages. As far as im concerned, our boy Frankie gave us all we needed during that time, and more for those who stayed. I respect it. It is unfortunate for that era of youtubers not having access to streaming like we do now, i think a lot of them would've stayed around a lot longer and done more if time synced up for them personally.
I was 14-16 when he released his DayZ videos. I'm now 26 and I still love watching them and playing DayZ. Even now when he releases DayZ videos my heart leaps a little. Ill always love his content and there was always a certain charm to the Arma 2 DayZ mod videos. Glad to see he's still making content with Sada which he often uploads to his channel.
Frankie is a legend. His Day Z series was a huge part of my adolesence, I remember being about 13 or 14 and sitting there binging the videos on weekends or after school, the story telling of each video keeping me riveted to my crappy little Samsung phone's screen. I actually recently rewatched a bunch of the series, and now that I'm in my 20s it doesn't necessarily hold up, but I felt an intense wave of nostalgia rewatching it. It definitely takes me back to a much simpler time, when all I had to worry about was homework and meeting up with my friends on the weekends to play Black Ops 2 splitscreen. There's a real bittersweetness to Frankie's videos for me. It makes me yearn for simpler times, but at the same time I'm grateful I can now afford to actually have my own gaming hardware and play videogames with the same friends I played Black Ops and talked about Frankies videos with, but now over discord and on newer games. I wonder if in another ten years I'll feel a similar nostalgia for now. If I'll have the same friends and the same excitement to try out new videogames, or if I'll just be too busy and exhausted from the pressures of life to care anymore. Will I still end up rewatching Frankie's videos from time to time? Will youtube even exist anymore? I guess in short despite being young, Frankies videos make me feel kinda old. It's a very boomer sounding take, but I do honestly feel for the younger generation who weren't around for this era. Being around for Frankie's classic videos really was a special thing, and I'm so glad I was there.
A Yarnhub style educational video. He said he is creating new content for DayZ BUT, he said he is creating it on a PRIVATE WHITELISTED server - so it will be more fake, scripted BS.
Frankie got me in to BF3. Never really heard of Battlefield as I was only a Halo and CoD player. Because of Frankie I found my love for the Battlefield series, even Battlefield V (not everyone favourite) is my most played multiplayer single game with over 11,000 hours and I was once a top 100 player on the leaderboard (cut down playing maybe about 2 years ago). If it wasn’t for him I would’ve never been introduced to one of my favourite series. He is also the reason I loved and still love DayZ content as well as playing the game myself. Have about 4,000 hours in DayZ. His DayZ and Arma stories are some of the best entertainment in storytelling and gameplay. I know now he’s moved on to what looks like Voice Over history, but he’s still had a massive impact on millions on people watch time. I hope he’ll keep doing well in life as he’s one of the few gaming channels that actually put countless effort creating content.
Frankie was one of the best creators in history. His voice was soothing and you could sit back and just watch any old footage with his voice, his happiness, his charisma and just enjoy those short few minutes of release from the real world. Frankie brought to us stories, excitement, friends and an entire community. It's a shame that he's gone away. Oneday he will return. Until that day i wish him the best and hope that whatever journey he's currently one is one of joy.
I recall him saying one time that during one of his breaks it was because his actual job was very fulfilling. Once he said that I assumed that he is one of the few UA-camrs who does it for fun and really just makes and post whenever, truly just a guy who does it as a hobby but is really fucking good at it.
Sometimes reality of life is needed. It sounds like the way he talks about Namibia is his true peace of mind. I wish you well Frankie, as someone who also travels the world to find a home and having lived in 5 different countries in the last 7 years I know the true strife of feeling stuck in place and needing change.
Big thanks for this video! I myself am thinking of creating more narrative storytelling type of gaming videos since Frankie was always in my mind because of that... And even though I have now watched multiple Frankie's breakdown videos, you made it even more clearer how he has gotten to where he is today!
You captured this story perfectly! So much nostalgia watching. JackFrags sounds so young lmao. Man if he had stuck it out, he would have that generational wealth! Fankieonpc is a legend 💪
Fair enough, I get that he is just doing what he wants to do and having some success from it. For me personally it just doesn't hit the same, as Jordem says "What 13yr old me enjoyed wasn't the same as 24yr old me" and that rings true. I wish nothing but the best for Frankie, he gave me a lot of joy back when I was younger.
Frankie is an outstanding creative person, sometimes to the point where he gets in his own way because he's aiming for near perfection. Several years ago I helped creating some shots for one of his videos and the level of detail and thought he put into everything was mind blowing. I remember thinking at the time that he's trying way too hard since "it's only for a YT video" but looking back now with hindsight, he had/has the right ambition. Super nice guy, same as Sada. I guess it's time to rewatch the whole Dayz Playlist of Frankie.
Great Video man. I remeber a lot of those deleted videos and some of the drama they are connected to. I was once a huge fan to his channel, it was like Netflix styled YT Series to me. I remember watching countless hours, sometimes even games that i wasn't interested in but frankie and his buddy's such as Jack made up some entertainment. For me, these golden times are over. Nothing will come close to the warm feel of the gaming high time from 2011-2016.
Frankie playing ARMA 2 DayZ was the thing that got me into PC gaming for real, with ARMA 2 being my first steam purchase. He's a legend and his story and legacy must be preserved. What a top lad.
as a kid i used to watch frankie and fell in love with his vids. I used to bring a backpack and bb gun into the woods and pretend i was in dayz, making my own little stories. this man will live in me forever.
I see people posting recently, you know he’s back right? He has done a video and explained his next one will be DayZ but not the cinematic masterpieces he usually does as he feels it was too much, I thought they were brilliant but I understand the stress he was putting himself under. He has jumped back on with Sada again already. Great to have him back, his voice is so soothing 😊
i remember finding Frankie while watching some Ark SE videos... and that was all it took for me to get hooked on DayZ. i watched all of his videos, and even thought yea, some of it felt scripted, it was still entertaining and i was in love with the game. i started playing it during the Arma2 days and even ran into Frankie and Jack on a random chance of playing a server. i was sad to see him go, but i understood that he was burned out on YT and when I saw he had started posting again, talking about finding his happiness in Africa and other adventures in his life, I was happy for him. he will always be one of the best YTbers to me, and I will always watch one of his videos when they come out.
Frankie to me sounds like that friend you don't always talk to. But, when you hear him it brightens up your day. Hey inspired me to play Dayz and to be something more then I am. And im a grown man Ty frankie and ty Jordem.
Frankie is back, and I hope he stays. Man has a gift for presenting his gameplay as unique, entertaining and generally all around fun to watch. Reminds me of early 2010’s UA-cam when let’s play we’re just taking off. Also has a bit of Old yogscast vibes from when the Shadow of Israphel series was ongoing. Awesome Bloke all around, I hope he avoids burnout. At the end of the day his videos are for entertainment.
Frankie will probably not be a content creator forever but he will still be that great creator for sure. A part of me will miss him and will reminisce back to the times as a kid when I watched him…
Frankie was great, I love watching his DayZ mod videos. The production quality was top notch, way ahead of its time. Other channels only achieved his levels of production years later (probably inspired by his videos). Then the cheating controversies started to show up (that CSGO bhop video is still a meme even today). Honestly for me that wasn't a big deal, until I found out that he started filing false DMCA claims to take down videos that addressed it or that criticized him. To me, that says a lot about his character. So I unsubbed to his channel and never looked back. I didn't even knew he stopped making videos until very recently. Its a shame the route that Frankie's channel went down, but I'm glad he left his mark on this platform. His videos definitely raised the bar for high quality production and story telling on gaming videos across the board.
Frankie mentioned in a few of his vids as well that there were a lot of costs involved so much so that whatever he got out of the videos he ended up paying for anyways, he also mentioned he had a death in the family and ended up traveling a bit and he also is a parttime paralegal. He has come back and made a few new videos but I think he is taking a more laid back hobbyist approach now, still love the man his voice is iconic and look forward to seeing him popup time to time.
I love Frankie's stuff, his videos are on such a different level. I'd willingly wait months per upload for him to come back, I know he's come back recently.. but I hope he doesn't burn out again
I used to think I knew everything about Frankie, but the question of why he stopped playing with Jack always eluded me. It's great to see the true reason from the deleted video. Thanks for sharing that with me.
Even back in the day when I was 13 in 2012, I felt like It was always obvious to the DayZ community that Frankie was using admin tools/ cheats and behind hind the scenes tricks to enhance the story telling in his videos and TBH no one cared. His amazing story telling and fake interactions created this persona that made him seem like a “godlike” gamer. I feel like Frankie felt pressure to be this skilled player in EVERY game he presented on youtube, so when CSGO started to blow up he probably just wanted to seem skilled to his audience; COMPLETELY underestimating how serious that community is and how quickly they would call out his lie. Frankie REALLY presented that BHOP bit as it being his actual skills, thus why the controversy popped up. I 100% believe that csgo controversy was the MAIN factor why he took a huge break. Having all of the most competitive players call you out for cheating and being miss-leading probably sucks incredibly.
That's the hard reality. Times change, we change. But memories stay! I will always remember those great times when Frankie was making those Arma videos and sometimes I love to go on his channel and watch them again just to get that small vacation. He was and is a great man who did so much for us. Therefor I thank him and will never forgett. And yes, I wished he would be still here but it would not be fair to force him into all of this work just for us. He has his own life and the right to enjoy it!
He’s my favourite of all time, the reason I got into PC gaming. I literally planned my week around his videos. It’s poetic that he went out at the top rather than falling off.
Dude Frankie influenced me in 2013 to get a pc just for dayz mod, I love frank. Miss him a lot. I stg every few weeks I binge his old videos with jack..mm mm mm..such a strange and oddly nice feeling
If I remember Frankies real job was being a kind of lawyer. It was one of his Q/A with a face reveal. He was asked what his job actually was and he said he went to collage to become a lawyer and is one but didn't specify what type. Frankies and Jack knew each other before DayZ. They played battlefield 4 together in the same groups and featured in neebs gaming battlefield freinds series. Frankie will go down as one of the best youtubers. Amazing content, great humour and fantastic video editing.
Simpler days, simpler times. Now, I am looking for a job and graduated college. How things change. But these videos are still in UA-cam for me to get all emotional and nostalgic about. Frankie opened me to making Ops in Arma 3 editor to even hosting missions for the clan I'm in way back then when things were lighter.
Frankie is the reason I play DayZ I watched his videos for years thinking that I would never be good enough to come to the game this late, but loving the content, now 3 years after taking the plunge and nearly 4000Hrs later its really the only game I play.
Frankie's impact on me, from the age of 14, undoubtedly changed my life. It is pretty incredible when I think back on it. Because of his fantastic and engaging story telling I decided to get a job when I was 15 to save money for a GPU, to allow me to play the Arma II mod. Believe it or not this first job I got at 15 put me on a life track that I genuinely assume I would not be on, had I not been so obsessed with Frankie.
I can agree that Young me loved watching Frankie but now I'm older It doesn't feel same. He was one my favorite ytubers back in day and still will be. He was reason I fell In love with dayz.
nostalgia when i remember watching his videos and thinking he must have a nasa pc because i was only having an old xbox and laptop from my mom back then. Good times!
“What I liked at 13 isn’t what I like at 24.” Man that hits hard. One of my closest friends was made because on the bus one day I just went “any of you know who frankie is?” And we started playing DayZ together. All these years later we will play a day or so a week. But as you get older, you just run out of time. Between the gym, going to work, having a significant other, conflicting schedules, you just don’t have the time at 24 you did at 13 unfortunately. Frankie will always have my appreciation for giving me a good friend and a lot of entertainment for all those years.
My dad is as far from a gamer as it gets, but I used to watch his DayZ series on our TV before school and my dad liked to watch it with me. He admitted he didn't usually know what was going on, but Frankie was so entertaining. Inspiring guy, I hope he steps back into the limelight a little more, even if it's not making UA-cam content.
I loved watching Frankie, he got me into gaming, but after a while he started trying to hard and it felt fake and I lost interest, I felt like he was becoming a perfectionist and lost his way, like it was a job instead of for fun
Im genuinely crying from nostalgia. He managed to show and portray games in the way you felt while playing them. The games were much better in terms of gameplay because the technology didnt allow for better visuals. And that I feel like opened up much more room for immersion and emotional investment because of better gameplay loops and because you could fill the gaps with your imagination and emotional stakes. His videos were the only gaming videos that inspired the same feelings the games itself did.
I might be the only one, but I remember loving Frankie for his Crysis 2 and Portal 2 videos back in the day. His commentary was amazing even back before he did any of the wild film making, storytelling stuff he did on DayZ, and I was sad to see that he had deleted all those videos when I went to watch them the other day. Nice to see that he's returned though!
it's a shame that Frankie will never know the feeling of watching then losing Frankie, i wish he could feel what we the fans feel, my hat goes off to him for his hard work and dedication but, as the saying goes "such a good thing is not meant to last" i would also like to mention that Frankie has helped so many youngsters on how to be a good respectful player and doing the right thing and has without intention, helped a shit ton of people with mental problems, get out of a dark place with his many to watch video's, myself included, shout out to the oldskool fans, man we had a blast while it lasted, they will never know ✌❤😢
You know how hard life can be when you are 13, I might not be the only one but during that time watching Frankie actually helped me more than Frankie could ever imagine.
Honestly Frankie’s videos were the reason I got into Arma and explored the series. Even going as far as checking out its console “contender” Operation Flashpoint. I’ve met some great friends through those games. One of my best friends I met in Arma 3 Exile on Esseker. Good times.
i miss Frankie too :) he is the reason i Play DayZ now days :) every time i see his videos i want to play dayz his amazing, and i hate that people are trying to ruin him and his love for content creation. but hey he has posted 2 videos 6 months ago :) so seems he post 1 -3 videos every 6 months or so
My issue with frankie is the videos went from a mixture of scripted/unscripted to pure, straight up scripted. What made his videos enjoyable was the journey he went on during his DayZ adventures and it made it captivating to watch. When it went full blown scripted, the adventure was lost alongside the random moments. All those characters he would normally meet along the way no longer felt the same because you knew it probably wasn't real. This isn't a fact of getting older either, I can go back to those older videos and have and they are still super enjoyable but pretty much all videos post DayZ Mod just aren't captivating. Also thank you for explaining the whole Jack Frags thing, I never knew why they stopped playing together and hearing it is kinda sad because I much prefer them over Sada.
What I really miss is ArmA II DayZ. The new DayZ just doesn’t have the same “Hand Shaking” experience. There’s far too many military areas, so the experience when at one is nothing like the Mod. Going to that south barracks was a scary experience on a busy server. You knew you were never far from danger. These days you can loot up and potentially never see another soul at a military area because there’s 20 others on the map you could visit instead.
DayZ Mod, was like the prime time in gaming for me, skipping school just to play with my buddies who also skipped school and not feel bad about it hahaha, good old days. DayZ standalone just doesn't have that same feeling I had with DayZ mod and I miss the good old days. Anyway, everyone I played with knew Frankie and I also watched him from time to time it was just really enjoyable to watch. I am glad to have experienced both Frankie's videos as well as the DayZ Mod.
Frankie inspired an entire genre of survival game content creation. I'm sure just about every DayZ / Rust / Tarkov youtuber was influenced in some way by him. He's the whole reason I ever got into PC gaming in the first place.
I have been watching Frankie since I was literally 7 years old. He's become a sort of part of the family the same way that a favorite TV show might, if you know what I mean. We still reference him & Sada to this day. Sad that none of my friends know who he is.
its mad cause that video you displayed about his quater a mil view war stories vid has a very loving and caring fan base for that particular series so I see it so unlikely that would put him off the comments on that video were full of people gushing, myself amongst them.
I don't think me or anyone else who enjoyed his content back in the day has changed. I had exactly the same experience when he returned. I was super hyped seeing the video pop up in my feed I couldn't wait to sit down and watch it, even put it up on the big screen. But ultimately I also struggled to get through the whole video. The thing is I felt similarly about his last few videos before he quit youtube too. It's because they're so scripted. It feels artifical. In the old days he would just record and make a story out of what he got. He'd actively make fun of people who believed it was set up. But eventually it evolved into putting a huge amount of effort to set up really elaborate stuff. That just isn't the same as the content which made us all fans in the first place. We just wanted to see Frankie play DayZ. In fact thats the core problem. DayZ itself is a natural adventure, you don't need to set anything up.
Got to run into Frankie, had an adventure with him, and ended up in one of his videos back when I was probably 14. I'm 26 now and that experience is still a core memory that will live with me
Which video ?
Ahh bro that’s awesome :) I remember being like 11 or 12 watching all his dayz videos

True I’ve noticed that. I have no stamina for games nowadays at 24. Feel like it’s not entertaining when you get older.
Everyone in the DayZ community states the same thing. We all got tired of extremely scripted content. All of the nostalgia comes from a time it wasn't as obvious. The magic of DayZ is what happens naturally.
its an interesting point, i was in my late 20's when he first started so its a different experience for me

I worked in the same office building as him across the hall for a while, never spoke to him about YT out of respect for his privacy just brief hello's in the corridor but knew that voice too well to be mistaken. tbh I never saw the point of the controversy...Complaining about Frankies videos being scripted is on a par with complaining about wrestling not being real.
tbh i always assumed that Frankie either knew everyone on the server he played on, or that it was whitelisted to stop hackers and trolls from ruining his work...The videos were so good that I didn't care in the slightest
Right, its not like he was trying to win a ranked tournament. He definitely seeded his own private server so he didn't have hackers plaguing his streams. it was all in good fun for a content.
i still to this day say "see you in a bit" to people because of this absolute legend
i’ll always greet people with a “hey buddy” lol
I loved watching Frankie’s vids growing up. I watched him back in battlefield 3, which also led me to watching JackFrags as well when they played together. Good times 💜
I was saddened when he took a long break, came back, break, come back, but each time he did post, you’d know it was gonna be quality. I probably watched all his arma series like 2-3 times.
Hope he comes back and stays consistent one day 🙏
What happened between him and jackfrags?
It was packed full of some good commentary, too. Great change of pace, IMO
His Midlands accent is uneducated cringe to an English person.
He used to do that stuff all the time
where i can find the vid? What is Yamato?
If you noticed. The place of the vid in-question is by the person who the subject of this vid. Aka Frankie.@@tommytwotimes2838
As we were the number 1 server at the time the owner Dave who did everything on the server couldn't keep up with all the extra work so he introduced him to macca at Ccg
and he made his videos there mostly on private servers full of loads of mods and scripts which would make it unplayable for a full server.
@remlap42 that's where he moved to after MGT. Autocorrect changed my abbreviation to cgi for some reason lol.
@@daztheman1980 fair enough, i knew he definitely was with them at one point. would be great to go back to those good old days of arma 2 dayz
He’s a lawyer now…? I dislike him even more 😒
frankieonpc will truly go down as one of the best content creators of all time
He’s back!
@@mr.o523 Not really, he released a very good yamato video but who knows when he will post again.
He got me into dayz since I was 19 now I’m 30
He cheated in CSGO aswell as in DayZ just to make some generic ass story
@@LPmcGamer dam I never expected that
I remember one xmas eve when my son was about 12 we sat and binge watched his DayZ vids and had such a great time. My son, now 19 still brings it up every now and then about how it was one of the best xmas eves and had such good memories
I just found Frankie on UA-cam last night and I binge watched like 30 dayz videos. Not sure why I’m just finding his content now but I love it
I am featured in some of the recent episodes of DayZ, and have been slowly seeing the progress of his work since September of 2018.
As someone who only knew Frankieonpc from the CSGO drama I never knew he made such high quality arma 2/3 videos.
I wish I could watch everything for the first time again. I envy you
He used to cheat in DayZ
@@Dover939 this just isn't relevant, don't care.
@@decadunce Yeah it is. His arma videos were cheated. He's a serial cheater and most of his videos are just videos of him blatantly cheating and fucking up the game for others.
@Dover939 Look at it from that point of view sure, it does not change the fact that the videos were high quality from what i was shown.
I think what we have to accept is that the content made back then when we was kids in middle school or going into high school was something we loved and liked to see. It’s a shame that UA-cam is based on views then more leaning on content creators and the time taken to get it right. Frankie was an amazing artist and UA-camr, I went through some extremely hard times during middle school and high school, his videos kept me going when I just couldn’t anymore.
true that
Dayz 2012-2014 Mod was goated.
Frankie didn't quit, he is back!
just like he was "back" last time
He can drop a video every year or two, I don’t care. I still watch the entire DayZ series once or twice a year and just like to see what he is up to.
He's back, and I think he is properly back this time. But I don't think it will ever be like it was again...
I think People care less now
A Yarnhub style educational video.
You know he returned again, right?
I recall him saying one time that during one of his breaks it was because his actual job was very fulfilling. Once he said that I assumed that he is one of the few UA-camrs who does it for fun and really just makes and post whenever, truly just a guy who does it as a hobby but is really fucking good at it.
nice video man, def brought me back to my younger days
Cheers man!
Fankieonpc is a legend 💪
i'd say his channel is doing better right now
Fair enough, I get that he is just doing what he wants to do and having some success from it. For me personally it just doesn't hit the same, as Jordem says "What 13yr old me enjoyed wasn't the same as 24yr old me" and that rings true. I wish nothing but the best for Frankie, he gave me a lot of joy back when I was younger.
He is back! :D
Oh man what a throwback of a channel. Forgot all about him, he had a voice on him for sure that made the story telling much more enjoyable
Frankie playing ARMA 2 DayZ was the thing that got me into PC gaming for real, with ARMA 2 being my first steam purchase. He's a legend and his story and legacy must be preserved. What a top lad.
Same, and I never figured out how to install DayZ 😅 So I just watched Frankie instead
as a kid i used to watch frankie and fell in love with his vids.
@doricdave7192 he posted a new video the otherday about the ww2 battleship yamato but before that he had been silent for months.
Watching these videos after school was the shit
this video popped up for me a couple of days after his recent return with a dayz standalone video and what looks to be a new series?
I'm still watching his stuff even now. His latest Dayz has pulled me back into rewatching all his older content.
i remember finding Frankie while watching some Ark SE videos... and that was all it took for me to get hooked on DayZ. i watched all of his videos, and even thought yea, some of it felt scripted, it was still entertaining and i was in love with the game. i started playing it during the Arma2 days and even ran into Frankie and Jack on a random chance of playing a server. i was sad to see him go, but i understood that he was burned out on YT and when I saw he had started posting again, talking about finding his happiness in Africa and other adventures in his life, I was happy for him. he will always be one of the best YTbers to me, and I will always watch one of his videos when they come out.
I just loved chilling after school, watching frankie All day. Found his channel in 2013, and binged his dayz playlist.
At the end of the day his videos are for entertainment.
wild how all of us had core memories of coming home from school and watching frankie play Dayz or coming home and playing dayz hoping to run into him
Frankie will probably not be a content creator forever but he will still be that great creator for sure. A part of me will miss him and will reminisce back to the times as a kid when I watched him…
Still get excited for any video he uploads, it's a yearning for truly cinematic experiences that keeps my anticipation high for an upload
I still enjoy his Videos today. im so excited when he uploads a new one. frankie is and will be allways my fav. youtuber
Video aged well, he uploaded a new DayZ vid today!!!
Arma 2 frankie & jack nostalgia 😭
Really good production value for a channel of this size, subbed, gg.
Much appreciated!
Because of Frankie I got hooked in watching at UA-cam not only that he's also the reason I got addicted in gaming
Man, I miss Frankie's classic DayZ mod videos. Those were the days. You just don't really see videos quite like his anymore.
The most basic of DayZ SA videos is to the same standard of Frankie's best videos. Go and re-watch Frankie's videos and be disappointed at the reality
Sour is the new frankie!
His voice was a major part for me, his soothing delivery. He was the first youtuber i subscribed to. His bad company 2 vids were the best for me.
I love his Arma 2 DayZ videos. I go back and rewatch them still.
I did grow up and it did give me goosebumps seeing the occasional videos after his long breaks, but a man's gotta do what he's gotta do
Frankie is the reason I play DayZ I watched his videos for years thinking that I would never be good enough to come to the game this late, but loving the content, now 3 years after taking the plunge and nearly 4000Hrs later its really the only game I play.
The Emotional Rollercoaster Of Not Being Able To Hack Dayz Standalone
nostalgia when i remember watching his videos and thinking he must have a nasa pc because i was only having an old xbox and laptop from my mom back then.
1 of my favourite youtube series. probably seen it start to finish at least 4-5 times. loved how well he did story telling
That’s a very wholesome story man glad you could bond over them!
I still enjoy Frankies videos, I'm 33 😅 watching him play makes me feel like seeing an old friend once again.
Totally gonna go back and re-watch old frankie vids now, it's been a while. Great upload man!
I still go back and watch his videos every now and then, and I still play day z, though not as often,
He is a legend all right
it's a shame that Frankie will never know the feeling of watching then losing Frankie, i wish he could feel what we the fans feel, my hat goes off to him for his hard work and dedication but, as the saying goes "such a good thing is not meant to last" i would also like to mention that Frankie has helped so many youngsters on how to be a good respectful player and doing the right thing and has without intention, helped a shit ton of people with mental problems, get out of a dark place with his many to watch video's, myself included, shout out to the oldskool fans, man we had a blast while it lasted, they will never know ✌❤😢
You know how hard life can be when you are 13, I might not be the only one but during that time watching Frankie actually helped me more than Frankie could ever imagine.
Honestly Frankie’s videos were the reason I got into Arma and explored the series. Even going as far as checking out its console “contender” Operation Flashpoint. I’ve met some great friends through those games. One of my best friends I met in Arma 3 Exile on Esseker. Good times.
Frankie is the reason I started my UA-cam channel. And why I love DayZ
i miss Frankie too :) he is the reason i Play DayZ now days :) every time i see his videos i want to play dayz his amazing, and i hate that people are trying to ruin him and his love for content creation. but hey he has posted 2 videos 6 months ago :) so seems he post 1 -3 videos every 6 months or so
My issue with frankie is the videos went from a mixture of scripted/unscripted to pure, straight up scripted.
Use to fall asleep to his DayZ playlist and for that I say thank you good sir!
Frankie is the reason I got into DayZ. And like you said, DayZ was some of the most memorable gaming in my life at its peak.
I remember fond memories with my brother and I watching Frankie when I was younger. What a throwback
Frankie is the reason I hung up the console and started building PCs back in 2013. Good times.
Frankie inspired an entire genre of survival game content creation. I'm sure just about every DayZ / Rust / Tarkov youtuber was influenced in some way by him. He's the whole reason I ever got into PC gaming in the first place.
The definition of a content creator should be FrankieOnPC. He was incredible.
It's been a long time. 10 years ago, I was 17 and stumbled onto his content. How time has flown.
Have I got some good news for you, buddy!
Frankie is doing Dayz again with some other Dayz content creators❤
