Hello everyone - this Friday’s video clip is from “The Children of Captain Grant” (in Russian: Дети капитана Гранта, romanized: Deti kapitana Granta), a 1936 Soviet adventure film directed by Vladimir Vaynshtok and David Gutman. It is an adaptation of the 1868 novel “In Search of the Castaways” by Jules Verne. In the 1860s, two Scottish children go on a global search for their missing father, the sailor Captain Grant…. The film was very popular on its release. Issak Dunayevsky’s wrote the score. Bel Air Music’s recording of the “Overture” replaces here the original sound-track.
