For 54 years. I've been able to sing this song. And,... I DON'T SPEAK FRENCH! Memorized it when my Mom bought us the Disney story album. My brother and I listened to the story almost every night. I still have the album.
I first saw this movie as a kid. For years, I tried to remember the name of this movie because for all those years this song stayed stuck in my head and I couldn't remember what it was from. It drove me crazy. Then one day my older sister rediscovered the movie and I was so happy.
Thank you for sharing this. Lovely, beautiful and nostalgic. Will definitely be sharing the classics with my kids. The modern shows tend to be way too hyperactive and fast.

It’s a pity that a few words at 1:34 are the only words Keith Hamshere sings in the whole film. He played Oliver in Oliver! in the West End. Actually, he was the first boy to play Oliver and can be heard on the Original London Cast album.
I would have done what the brother of Mary did, grab a rock and toss it down the side of the mountain 😂. Also I think the boy who's playing the instrument is talented in being able to play and balance himself as he rides.
In Search of the Castaways by Disney, 1962. Great, funny movie with amazing actors. The writing is a bit terrible and the graphics and special effects are awful, so awful it becomes funny---which all definitely adds to the awesomeness overall. No other movie like it. Love, love, love!
Obviously this movie also influenced Spielberg and Lucas very much, there is a scene in Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom that is very similar to the one in this movie when they slide down the mountains

I just hope you haven't been singing "Ken Lee" the whole time. ;-)

One of my favorite Childhood Songs. !!
As kids, this was our favorite song to sing. Love to watch it again.

Been looking for this for a long time. Thank you for uploading!
This and the song Kirk Douglas sings on deck in 20,000 Leagues really sticks in my head.
That's a whale of a tale!
We need more people like this man. The world would be a much brighter place. Lol.
Totally agree. And the other song he sings about enjoying every moment and not complaining shows Christian principles.
By far one of my favorite scenes in the whole movie.
At a certain age, I had quite the crush on Hayley Mills!
In search of the Castaways, an excellent movie!❤
love this movie
