    Wow, I can’t believe you managed to fit all that into a 40L, especially the shoes. It gives me hope 😅It’s great to see someone taking some nice clothes backpacking too. 👗 I’m off to South America in February for 8-9 months and this has been really helpful. I wonder, did you take a water filter bottle with you or a mosquito net? If there’s a mossie anywhere, it will find me! Off to check out your travel blogs now 👏

      I am so glad you found this video useful 😍 Yes, this is a really hard task, as you need warm and beach clothes for SA. Of course, always need one cute dress for going out haha! Hmm...the bottle...I think it just takes too much space unless you can attach it to your bag? Like that it hangs? Mosquito net - If you are planning to do camping and sleep in a hammock (very common by the coasts) then yes definitely! As long as you can buy little travel one. But if you are going to sleep indoors then some nights when we stayed in questionable places, where all sorts of bugs got in, I just put the spray on, and wasn't that bad. Same with hikes, definitely need a spray, so yea spray was my best friend :D but if I would have slept outside at any point then 10000%! If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask here or on Instagram, so happy to help out :)

    I loved this video! Thank you. Can you please do a video about your budget and how much your trip cost?

      Thank you 😊 Yes I have been thinking to do one but it is a bit hard to consolidate it all together 😂 besides I traveled with my boyfriend and we shared everything 50/50 so a lot of times we got a better room just because we were 2 so basically in SA bunk beds, staying in dorms for 2 people a lot of times cost the same as getting a room so it is very different for couples or solo travelers. Feel free to message me on Instagram if you have any specific questions. Happy to help.😊

    Thanks for the video! So many good tips! How do you transport and pack your cute hats without damaging them?

    Hi! thanks for the video, really helpful! Did you ever regret not having a sleeping bag with you? Or maybe an inlet? thanks :)

      Thanks for watching 😊 amm…not really… I always stayed somewhere where is bed haha so never really needed it 😂 are you planning to camp somewhere? Then maybe, but even then you don’t have to carry with you all your backpacking trip, most places will rent you out the whole tent and bags etc for very small price. So no need to carry with you… really depends where you go and what you do. Some hostels offered hammocks as beds.. if you going proper on budget… there are loads of options. Depends on your trip 😊🙌

    Thank you for the video, its very informative. Can someone share about vaccination reuqired for travel to south America? How about payment, do they use cash or is credit card widely accepted? How much cash to bring, if its easy to withdraw cash in most countries? Thanks in advance

    • @AlikiTravelBlog
      @AlikiTravelBlog  Рік тому +1

      Thank you! No special vaccines required, unless you are planning to travel to Amazon. Then you will need a yellow fever one. 😉 I have an article on how you can get it for free in Colombia: www.alikitravelblog.com/post/free-yellow-fever-vaccine-in-colombia ; Regarding cash, you definitely need some with you in each country. Although cards are widely used in big cities. Not so much in smaller ones. The more remote you go, the more cash you need. Hope this helps! 😊

    Did the airports allow the small bag as personal item? so the osprey bag as carry on and the small bag as personal bag? Or did you have to check in one of the bags?

    • @AlikiTravelBlog
      @AlikiTravelBlog  Рік тому +3

      It mostly depends on the airlines, airports are very chill with bags. Most airlines will require you to pay extra for the osprey one, still as carry on, but you will need pay extra.
