I think a winged coaster could also do really well at KD, perhaps even a launched winged coaster to make up for the lost launch of volcano. Either way, cedar fair has a big challenge when it comes to replacing the fan favorite Volcano
At this rate I don’t think we are getting anything. The promised us a replacement, then teased us saying "something is coming" and then silence. If they were gonna do something, they would’ve by now. We have to start accepting that Cedar Fair wants the park to just sit there and make money while never providing needed updates to the park
KI needs an elite Intamin, Mack or RMC hybrid in the worst way. Too bad they didn't keep Son of Beast SBNO long enough for RMC to come along. At some point as an RCE, KI just gets dull. The water park is great and the sand volleyball there is great. That part of the experience, plus the food, operations and cleanliness, is better than CP. But KI just kind of stinks for me as a ~30 y/o RCE because it has "way too B&M-heavy" syndrome.
@@jandrew1994 I don't see Intamin being welcomed back by Cedar Fair anytime soon, since apparently they're going out of their way to have a different company do the TTD rebuild. They also apparently have a beef with RMC over the builds they got from them, though I do at least see that relationship as salvageable. Of the three you mentioned, Mack is the most likely candidate for an elite ride for Kings Island in the foreseeable future.
I honestly think that Carowinds could use a Dive Coaster maybe even a Wing Coaster that would interact with the terrain by the Rip Roaring Ripids area kinda like how Some Birds dip and dive through the forest like Raptor at Gardaland
Or remove Nighthawk and build a B&M flying coaster similar to the Flying Dinosaur. A layout similar to Flying Dinosaur would fit perfectly in nighthawk's plot and the layout could extend over Rip Roaring Rapids plot.
Carowinds needs to RMC the hurler ASAP. Before night hawk goes. It’s chillin way harder than hurler that thing feels like your in a blender. And we need an RMC!!!!
@@bradyryan5105 If they did add the wing coaster I think they should follow a similar approach to Raptor’s at Gardaland. I also agree with RMCing Hurler but it wont be for another couple years since they gotten more parts to repair but I honestly do think a rmc hurler B&M wing or dive coaster would add alot more excitement to Carowinds
Some things for future coasters that I think it could be better in my opinion. 1. I think Kings Dominion could use a Wing Coaster since Busch Gardens Williamsburg doesn't have one. 2. I think Cedar Point could remove Gemini due to space and prob nearing end of service life. I would go with maybe the world largest, dueling, racing wooden coaster for GCI, and have it name in honor of Gemini (maybe Gemini's Revenge). I just don't see a Mack Extreme spinning coaster due to adding a spinning coaster this year (even in family size). 3. A Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster would do good for Valley Fair since it would fix the inversion fix and be good for a smaller park, which also works for Michigan's Adventure. But other predictions I do agree with for sure. Maybe Knotts will finally get the B&M Giga in next few years.
Im 10 minutes away from knotts and if they get a giga... that would be more than epic. Im trying not to get my hopes up since idk what are the chances of it actually coming, but man...
For the Kings Island Vortex plot, I would like to see either a coaster similar to Copperhead Strike or an infinity coaster. Just what I would choose. However, that particular plot could fit a whole heck of a lot of different kinds of coaster types there. As always, great content.
I like your choices, I could honestly see a few more added in that stretch as well. I know a large portion of the $200 mil will go to regular park improvements (not ride related) but you could average one $20 mil and two $15 mil per year and still have $150m left for the rest. Seems like they could maybe throw in a smaller $7-$10m coaster here and there and still have room for the rest of the parks.
Michigan's Adventure can seriously start by RMC'ing Wolverine Wildcat... it's really a no-brainer. Add an Intamin giga like i305 or a Mack (something like Copperhead Strike or Time Traveler) to that and complete the park circle, and you have yourself a pretty good park. I do like that Michigan's Adventure is finally opening up for halloweekends this year, but 2023 is a trial run on that and looks like they're closing at like 4pm-5pm so we won't be able to get a vaunted first-ever night ride on Shivering Timbers.
Idk why people harp about MA's location. Silverwood, Holiday World, Silver Dollar City, and Dollywood are all "in the middle of nowhere" as well, yet they still draw in crowds.
They just titan tracked the first drop of Wolverine Wildcat...so not in the plans unfortunately. Umfortunately, Michigans Adventure will always be a family first park, which is why the halloween event is a trick or treat family event, not a scary event
@@bradyryan5105 It really kinda is tho. The closest city is Grand Rapids, which only has 197k people. I live in Battle Creek, and Michigans Adventure is 2 hours away. Cedar Point and Six Flags Great America are both round 3. So id rather drive 3 hours to an amazing park than drive 2 to a very sub par park. That being said, I would love to see Michigans Adventure built up and compete with those parks, but Cedar Fair doesn't want to pull people in Michigan from Cedar Point.
I think I could see Vortex get replaced this year. My top coaster replacements would probably be a multi launch or maybe even a surf coaster. Another bold prediction I would have for Kings Island is that they remove the bat and put a top tier RMC, to pay respect to Son of Beast.
Cedar Point: B&M Giga or Hyper Kings Island: Extreme Spinner Carowinds: B&M surf Coaster. ( Vortex is not that good ) Kings Dominion: B&M Wing Knotts Berry Farm: B&M Hyper Canada's Wonderland: B&M Invert California's Great America: Uro Fighter Valleyfair: B&M Dive Worlds of fun: B&M Wing Dorneypark: Gravity Group Wooden Roller Coaster Michigan's Adventure: GCI Wooden Coaster I also love your videos :)
My home park is Cedar point. And I know I have mentioned this before in one of your comment sections but the area where cedar points raft water ride was which I believe was called thunder Canyon, which I didn’t realize was closed. Might be a great area for an extreme spinner ride, it might fit that areas themeing better than where the corkscrew area is. you had a video a while back regarding a TRex going where corkscrew is and I think that’s a much better idea because of its location. And I think themeing would work better there.
Since Kings Island is my home park, i have to say I'd love a New Multi Launch Coaster. My Son is 7 this year and has finally hit the 48 inch mark. so he'll be able to ride alot more coasters this year and i know he's going to love backlot. And daddy here is just a coaster junkie! I Cant get enough. but yeah a Big and LONG Multi launch in the old Vortex spot would be Nice! RIP Vortex but hopefully Kings Island managment Gives us something to Rival your Twisted Inversions!
Here is what I would add: KI- Mack EXtreme Spinner MA- Sky Rocket 2 or your Vekoma extreme Boomerang KD- I was actually fine with the B&M Wing Coaster. KBF- B&M Hyper/Giga- whatever gets approved. Carowinds- GCI similar to GoldStriker. I would put it over by the old Dino Alive area. C. Wond- B&M Flyer ValleyFair- Smaller B&M Invert Cedar Point- Eejanaika clone WOF- Vakoma Coaster similar to a Lech Coaster DP- Smaller GCI or Gravity Group Woodie
+My prediction. A B&M Wing Coaster in the plot of land after Timewarp and Flightdeck are removed. Kingswood Theatre has been slated for removal for years, now that it's actually being removed, clears up more land. Makes sense to have this at the entrance much like 'Gatekeeper', hence the name, at Cedar Point.. :)
For Kings Dominion, I predict that now that they no longer have a hanging Coaster, they may get an axis coaster, or a brand new Vekoma STC as the STC might be in the budget. They could also get the new Gerstlaur hanging model if it proves to be a hit.
Nice predictions I like the idea of the infinity coaster and Vekoma super boomerang. There isn’t one around I definitely wanna see the Super Boomerang model in action. Something like Fønix is near I would be very interested cause it looks amazing I think it would work very well.
I would love a coaster like either Ride to Happiness or The Flying Dinosaur added to Cedar Point. The last flyer I got to ride was Firehawk at KI before they tore it down and I loved that sensation. An extreme spinner would also be something completely different than any other coaster at CP.
My predictions: 2024 Dorney Park - Its almost certainly a B&M Dive Coaster like Emperor at SeaWorld San Diego. 2024 Cedar Point - Reimagined Dragster with LSM launch, vertical spike and speed hill prior to the tophat with Intamin working on the track and Zamperla designing the trains. 2024 Carowinds - I agree that a GCI would best fit here it fills one of the holes in their lineup as Hurler isn't viewed as a good ride and it would give them the excuse to RMC it like Twisted Timbers. 2025 King's Island - Given the fact that Cedar Fair Executives are very high on VelociCoaster definitely points to a strong possibility they would add one or multiple Intamin Blitz coasters to their top parks first among them King's Island since Cedar Point already has Maverick. 2025 Canada's Wonderland - This park lacks an intense launch coaster, a good quality wooden coaster and a spinning coaster from its lineup it also has two unpopular and/or painful wooden coasters in Mighty Canadian Minebuster and Wilde Beast that are prime RMC candidates. While I agree Time Warp is awful I would want to see them remove Dragon Fyre and build an Intamin Blitz here as well. 2026 Knott's Berry Farm - Completely agree with you build a B&M Hyper or Giga here the west coast needs one. 2026 ValleyFair - I wouldn't be surprised if ValleyFair received multiple major investments in the years prior to the World Expo in 2027 if it takes place in Minneapolis. The event is speculated to generate 2.5 billion dollars in revenue and attract over 14 million people to the area I can't imagine a world where CedarFair doesn't invest heavily if this happens. With that in mind ValleyFair has no real standout ride and they lack in airtime and inversions so I'm going to say a smaller scale RMC I-Box like Arieforce One. 2026 King's Dominion - The replacement for Volcano should be a B&M launched wing coaster to pay homage it also doesn't conflict with any coaster that Busch Gardens Williamsburg has in their lineup currently. 2027 Michigan's Adventure - I'd like to see them RMC Wolverine Wildcat its a Dinn Woodie and those coasters have a poor reputation to say the least add to that it shares the park with only two coasters that have inversions one an old Arrow looper in Corkscrew and a Vekoma SLC in Thunderhawk both are extremely rough from what I've heard. 2027 Cedar Point - Agree with you about Corkscrew being the next removal also a big fan of the Mack Xtreme Spinner idea for its plot. Alternatively I could also see them removing Gemini for a GCI or Rougarou for a next-gen Vekoma or looking to break the inversion record with a Gerstlaur Infinity.
In 2026 or 27 cedar point should put in a gci woodies. Get rid of the mine train and have the coaster go through the pond/river area all the way to the current TTD. Similar but bigger design than mystic Timbers. Also like the corkscrew plot of land while also repositioning some maintenance buildings. Have the new coaster go into the corkscrew and maintenance Area. 🤷🏼♂️
As a local Michigan resident I can totally see some changes in MA, it’s a still a bottom tier park obviously, but they are starting to improve it. Thunder hawk, corkscrew, and Mad Mouse all have great repaints, and they are adding a new Halloween event for 2023 for families! I could totally see a zamperla double heart or a infinity coaster here! Or maybe In my wildest dreams an rmc Wolverine wildcat! Great video Brandon :)
Right on !! I have been saying CP needs to add a Mack Extreme Spinning Coaster till I’m blue in the face. And located where Corkscrew is and have it go over the people and Midway would be great !
I'm supper stoked, hopefully that means WoF won't have to go through another 14 year drought after the new Zambezi is finished. And, I hope this also makes SF give their mid tiers parks some love too, if only to stay competitive. If WoF gets another coaster by 2030 I think it should be a multi-launch of some type, or a new gen Vekoma like Fenix. Either way, it needs to have an absolutely commanding presence at the front of the park where the Orient Express once stood.
My hope for the main 5 (6): Cedar Point: A boardwalk style dark ride in the boardwalk area. Something like Haunted Castle at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk or Haunted Mansion at Knoebels. But if we're talking about a coaster, then MACK extreme spinner. Kings Island: Vekoma Bermuda Blitz. We all know exactly where they should put this. Carowinds: Themed log flume. They could build on the theming from Copperhead Strike and maybe have one or two show buildings with air conditioning and some audio-animatronic figures. But if we're only talking coasters, a large scale GCI woodie. Canada's Wonderland: MACK Multi launch Knotts Berry Farm: B&M Giga. I mean, we all want this. Just give it a cool theme and queue line so it fits in with the park well. Bonus Kings Dominion: Vekoma multi launch. I think we all know what looping coaster this would replace and it would look great over the water.
@Zac G I think that those ideas are just amazing!! 👍 Especially the idea of adding a new log flume to Carowinds, since the dry park needs a water ride.
I don't think CF would get rid of both Time Warp and Flight Deck,. Time Warp for sure, but the GP seem to like Flight Deck. That being said I think a B&M wing coaster would be a great fit for the park.
Winter chill out news: If guests had a keen eye, then they may notice that sections of the Iron Dragon track have been removed over in the area of the former Top Thrill Dragster. While not abnormal, as the track could be out for maintenance, it is also interesting based on its location.
What has happened to Kings Dominion is so sad. I went there when I was in middle school and high school with my family years ago and we have so many great memories, but last summer I went back and it was so run down and dirty. Half the rides were closed! Major rides! Like Flight of Fear and Drop Zone! Also there were some not so pleasant guests walking around. It was so depressing, we left at 2pm and drove back home to FL. The saddest part was driving past the closed down, boarded up hotel in the parking lot because that is where we stayed both times we went when I was growing up. What Cedar Fair is doing to this park is sad! They need to fix it back up. I definitely will drive to Carowinds, Cedar Point, or Kings Island (actually was just at KI last week and it was fantastic! Complete opposite of KD), but not to Kings Dominion anymore.
Can I say something about MI adventure as a former local? My family who still lives there rarely visits because there’s nothing new. I remember when Grand Raids opened then didn’t go back for 10 years and nothing had changed in those years. There was no motivation to go and had I not gotten in free that day I wouldn’t have gone and I lived less than an hour away.
Honestly, I couldn't agree more with your CedarPoint prediction! There have been quite a few times I have disagreed with you on your CedarPoint predictions but this is one I would LOVE to see there. I could definitely see a record breaking design. Maybe 150 feet, pushing close to 4,000 foot in length, and 6 inversions! The only problem I see is how expensive would that be. Time Traveler was 26 million so this might push 30 million...? IF THEY DO THIS, they NEED to get a double loading station like Millenium. Have a strict onboard station and strict offboard station to increase capacity. Don't get me wrong a T-Rex would be amazing, but you have SteVe, Maverick and Raptor which have some great inversion elements. Yeah a T-Rex could far succeded those elements but like a Mack Spinner would be unlike anything at the park!
Hi my name is Ethan and I’m a big fan of your channel. This weekend I’m going to winter chill out at cedar point and I was wondering what questions would you ask if you were going? Ps. I can get footage for you if you want 😊
I still think Kings Island is a great candidate for CF’s first B&M Flyer. If they wanted to expand Area 72, it could go great there. In near future, I’m on the bandwagon to fill the Vortex plot with something
I know Carowinds is short on wood and water rides, but man, just picture an Intamin, Maverick-Style double launch screaming thru the old rapids layout. That said, I do miss the heck out of Thunder Road.
I think KD should put should a intamin launch coaster similar to velocicoaster/ taron using the volcano and amphitheater behind it as I’ve heard rumors about a intamin launch as being one of volcano’s replacement. As for the theming, the ride should be have a reimagining of volcano
In addition, I would have a gerstlauer infinity coaster replace anaconda. I think the light packaging would looked cool over the water at nighttime plus the addition of fog
If California's Great America does close, I predict Flight Deck would be relocated to Valleyfair. Maybe Patriot relocated to Michigan's Adventure, and Railblazer relocated to Carowinds?
Does the smaller double heart Zamperla model fit perfectly in the plot of land at Michigan’s Adventure or does it leave open land for another flat ride or two with further expansion into that forest/woodland area? The reason why I think it will be the smaller model is bc of the previous height restrictions from the city/county, hopefully there’s different people in power that can green light a higher height limit and we could possibly get the bigger double heart 🤞🤞🤞 Either way I’m just super excited my home park may finally getting a brand new coaster!!!! I hope the commentary about us getting one(and 2 park benches🤣😂🤣😫🤦🏻♂️🙈) was real and not just a troll that we’ve already been a victim of, albeit for good reason 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Why are there still so many people thinking that a B&M wing coaster will replace Volcano? Wasn’t there a proposal for that which got shelved a couple years ago? Also Tumbili right across the way has a similar seating setup. I think that an Infinity coaster would be a substantial replacement for Volcano like Brandon said. In fact take it to the next level and have a launch during the first half of the layout, and then the big lift/hangover drop to start the second half (like Takabisha and Shellraiser). Lots of things to do here, like unique inversions, trick elements, and the potential for steepest drop in Virginia. Could also fit well in the space.
Hear me out it might sound crazy but what If Knott's got the first RMC giga. Idk if they could fit it obviously cause it's never been built. But it would be awesome 😎
Carowinds desperately needs a water ride. I would love to see something like Infinity Falls come to the former RRR plot. I think the former Dinosaur area next to Afterburn is going to be the next coaster. A B&M dive coaster would be great in this area and they could extend the Aeronautica Landing theming to it.
What happened to Them Park Predictions and More? I watched a guide video on this channel and it said welcome to Theme Park Recommendations. So what happened? Was it just a rebranding and I msuhresd in that video?
So I am making some minor changes :) All of my future recommendation videos will be on my Theme Park Recommendations channel I dropped the and more to make the name cleaner. youtube.com/@ParkRecommendations
I would kill for a GCI woodie in the plot of Rip Roarin Rapid and the Amphitheater personally. It'd make Carowinds already insane parking lot view get even more impressive.
I think Knotts could get a giga hyper and then 3 to 4 years another thrill family ride and after multi launch family coaster wherever the park can expand
Hi for Canada's Wonderland I would love to see a mack launched spinner. there is really couple other area's Brendon from amusement insiders has talked about the white water canion area has not much build up in that area so maybe a coaster could fit into there. Also the kings wood area is roomers surrounding it so if the area gets cleared that could mean a coaster could go there of some kind. Canada's Wonderland has never been one to rip out two coasters at once so not saying it could happen but they might lets say rip out time warp and put something in that area a coaster and make it go else where and same could be done with flight deck. that is something I thought of. I also think if cf starts to work with intiman again a blitz coaster would do wonders for Canada's Wonderland. Canada's Wonderland is really in need of their big thrilling launch coaster now it doesn't have to be that 4 hundred tall one but 2 or 3 hundred foot tall one would do wonders with lots of inversions weather that is a mack or vacoma or they could go with the surf coaster to really stretch it as they could do launch similar to Sea World Orlando. but we could also use a spinning coaster mack spinner. canada has no spinning coaster anywhere so the extreme spinner would take care of both the launch and spinning all in one. Canada's Wonderland has had water attractions but last water attraction was water slides last few times but they could really use a new water ride/coaster. which that could mean they could go with the mack power splash that would give them the launch and the water ride all in one. they would obviously have to figure out the turning water off when it comes to fall or early spring months though. If they took time warp out only they coulsd do a tilt coaster from vacoma there we need some big vacoma's though in canada new kinds.
It's sounds like the top 5 will be more "themed" in a true sense where parks that never had themed areas, like Dorney or Valleyfair, probably won't for the forseable
I hope its one major ride a year split between their big parks then scatter the others on the closest sister park (if CP gets a ride then I guess Micigan's will, Canada's Wonderland gets one then Valley Fair ect)
$20m doesn’t sound like enough for a high capacity, record breaking coaster though? Obviously the coasters don’t *have* to be, it would just be a weird change of direction to go to smaller solid rides after decades of testing the limits with coasters.
I still think Kings Dominion made a package deal with S&S, Tumbili was the first part, and Volcano’s replacement is the second part with an Axis Coaster being built on that part of land.
Whatever kings island gets I just hope it's a stand out coaster. KI has so many great coasters but they don't have that one elite coaster like a fury, vengeance, twisted timbers. Intamin would be my first choice but that's not likely but a mack extreme spinner would be my 2nd choice.
My ideas CP: modern wooden coaster from GCI or Gravity Group C: Mack Power Splash MA: Gersatluer Euro fighter KD: B&M Wing Coaster DP: B&M Dive Coaster VF Mack Rides big dipper WOF: Gerstaluer launched Euro fighter KBF: B&M Hyper KI: Mack Multi Launch CGA: Nothing
Brandon, I watched this three times. Thanks for giving us something to be excited about during these cold winter days for those of us whose home parks aren't open year round. I can't wait until King's Island & Cedar Point are open!
As a lifelong Cedar Point attendee, as much as I hate to see them remove classic coasters, your idea about a Time Traveler-like coaster intrigues me. My only demand is that they somehow recreate the "corkscrew" trackage spanning the midway, as it is truly an iconic part of the park's history. I'd like to see Cedar Fair partner up with The Gravity Group for some rollercoasters. No disrespect to GCI, but CCI/GG wooden rollercoasters are among the best I've ever ridden.
B&M Wing coasters should be coming to worlds of fun, dorney park, carowinds, knott’s berry farm and Canada’s wonderland, RMC single rail coasters should be coming to kings island, valleyfair, Michigan’s adventure and kings dominion and MACK Xtreme spinning coasters should be coming to cedar point, California’s great America, dorney park and worlds of fun
After the dragster remodel I'd put money on Cedar Point adding a new water ride. Maybe ditch Snake River falls for a power splash or I know Tony has said that he would love a new log flume.
Kings Island I think will be a Mack multi launch. I'll keep saying over and over but Cedar Fair doesn't need Intamin. The GP who bring in the most money love B&M and less extreme coasters.
Let's not forget that Cedar Fair is closing California's Great America. We're assuming the parks will all be getting new rides. Patriot, Flight Deck, and Railblazer seem like great choices for relocation, or they'll be sold to other parks (probably in Europe). A park like Michigan's Adventure getting Railblazer would be a big win and draw, since the ride has lower capacity and would align with park crowds.
PAtriot & Flight Deck relocated? They will be 35 years old if they close 2026/2027 which seems the current time line via the changed depreciation schedule they have on their financials. IT's not in Cf's interest to keep going for 11 years with the lease rates & terms.
@@McQ-wk5lu Fair point. Generally B&M steel coaster have longer service lives than wooden coasters or Arrow rides (FYI: Id expect SFMM to retire Viper in the next 5 years). CP has no intention of getting rid of Raptor which will be 30 years old next year. Universal retracked Incredible Hulk two years ago. If they're relocated, there could be maintenance associated with retracking/trains.
I think the next coaster that KI gets will come in 2026, there is just too many other areas in the park that need updated before going back to the Vortex plot of land. Planet Snoopy needs something new, Soak City needs something new also, it is those areas of the parks turn. It would be great to see a hotel being built next to KI also, like what Cedar Fair did with Carowinds, build it next to Soak City where the big empty plot of land is, this would help make the park more money, that is one of the big things Cedar Fair knows how to do. It would be a perfect spot for a hotel, having great views of Kings Island and Soak City, be within walking distance, and they wouldn't have to worry about anyone complaining about it being too tall, because there are no houses next to it.
CF is not doing a hotel at KI. They have never done it cause KI is too much of a locals park. They track where visitors come from & they know KI is a locals/day park overwhelmingly unlike CP. That's why they passed on it while going on their hotel/resort spree the last decade. Why do you think FL/Fl+ costs are so much lower than CP? Locals that go the park 10-15 times a year or more do not pay up for FL.
@@kev492001 Wonderland gets a good % of people that are not local. Canada has no other major park till Montreal(350 miles).. Also they get many from US. especially western ny. There is literally no other decent amusement park close to them. The closest park of note is Darien Lake & it's a low end SF operated park that pales in comparison. To get to a really comp park you have to go to CP(350 miles). Hershey(410 miles) Toronto is also a much much more visited tourist city than Cincy.
@@McQ-wk5lu Good info! I figured Toronto had something to do with it, and it being more touristy than Cincy. If Ohio keeps attracting more businesses like here lately, and more people could move back, over time (very long time) we could see the state, Cincy and KI attract more visitors, probably won’t be at CW and Toronto level I’m sure. That might make CF think about adding a hotel in the very far future, it probably has a small chance of happening in the long term. What do you think?
@@kev492001 Very unlikely for KI IMO, CF was always wary & pulled out of the Cedar Park operating deal ikely cause it wasn't accretive.. Wonderland hotel will come eventually. I think they build up the park some more with theming, water park expansion, & a major coaster first. Also, CP might be the next to get a new hotel ie..expansion of Express for more mid range rooms for sports complex tourney teams to stay at.
Cedar Point usually gets the record-breaking coasters. It depends on what happens with Dragster but likely any large investment would likely break some kind of record. I know from past teasers they really want the height record back from Kingda Ka...
185 to 200M which is what they actually said for Capex is the same range they spent in 2022, 2021, 2019, 2018..etc... This is nothing more than click bait, it means nothing from what was already happening for many years
How is Canada's Wonderland or hell, Carowinds better than Kings Dominion? Kings Dominion is the 2nd best CF park IMO and has hands-down one of the top 5 roller coasters in the world (i305 puts Fury and Orion to shame and it's IMO better than Millennium Force), PLUS one of the top 5 RMC hybrids. Kings Dominion is criminally underrated... I do agree on Michigan Adventure being poorly located... however I would say locating it on I-96 or I-94 somewhere about halfway between Grand Rapids and Detroit would be ideal. Being located way up US-31 half an hour north of Muskegon up the west coast of Lake Michigan is just not ideal. But still I say give them something elite like a Mack or Intamin or RMC one of the woodies like Wildcat... please not another Vekoma. As for Carowinds I would say add a chicken shack or similar (to the dry park) because for a "top tier" park it's sure missing meal plan chicken wings unlike KD, KI and even DP and others... as for ride Carowinds needs an Intamin or RMC in the worst way, because it already has a good Mack but other than that it's got the same problem as KI in that it's too B&M-heavy which makes for a less than stellar RCE experience even if it's "top tier" for GP standards only. C'mon Cedar Fair... do what Six Flags has failed us... throw us adult roller coaster enthusiasts a bone.
Not everyone cares for super intense coasters. Havent gone on i305 but it'll probably be worst giga for me. I hate when rides make me grey/black out, i prefer airtime and speed.
It's not about best coasters but park performance. Carowinds and CW both have responded well to recent investments, KD has not. Honestly I don't think Fair knows what to do with KD. It will take massive investments to go head to head with Busch and I'm not sure if they are willing to do that. If Six Flags ever decide to step up SF America, Dominion will be the odd man out.
@@Cap-ku6ok another thing worth pointing out is that CF is taking advantage of the recent growth of Charlotte and Toronto, which explains why Carowinds and Canada Wonderland are receiving more investment than KD which makes them inferior to Canada Wonderland and Carowinds. I think they are all good parks with their own flaws such as Carowinds lack of charm and the weak supporting roller coasters from Canada Wonderland. KD just needs 1-2 crowd pleasing coasters to have a solid coaster collection
Great content as always and thanks again for this. Unfortunately I was hoping to hear that the Volcano replacement at KD my home park would happen sooner than 2026. Either way I hope they can come up with something that is a worthy successor and glad to hear Cedar Fair putting more money into all there parks👏
200m a year on new capital. Thats technically enough a each park to get a "major" ride every year. Could CedarFair be taking a Six Flags approach and investing in every park every year
185 to 200M which is what they actually said for Capex is the same range they spent in 2022, 2021, 2019, 2018..etc... This is nothing more than click bait, it means nothing from what was already happening for many years. Also, this Capex is for everything..ie...maintenance, infrastructure, food/restaurant expansion, in park/non rides, technology, hotel/resorts,sports complexes, Esports center phase 1 & also rides/attractions. CF has more properties than prior now fully on line ...ie...Sawmill Creek added last year, Schlitterbahn resort is getting spruce ups that aren't known to many or really touted in conf calls. They are still trying to integrate the water parks as that was delayed from the pandemic, they said they are putting at least 20M into them over several years
t's the same Capex range of 185 to 200M that they have given for like 5 years. Look up CF Capex..This is nothing new & changes nothing that wasn't occurring.
Here is my wishlist:
- Dive Coaster (Dorney Park, Carowinds, Valleyfair)
- Xtreme Spinner Coaster or MACK Launch Coaster with hybrid trains (Canada's Wonderland, Kings Island)
- Infinity Coaster (Kings Dominion, Worlds of Fun, Michigan's Adventure)
- MACK Looping Hypercoaster (Knott's Berry Farm & Cedar Point)
I think a winged coaster could also do really well at KD, perhaps even a launched winged coaster to make up for the lost launch of volcano. Either way, cedar fair has a big challenge when it comes to replacing the fan favorite Volcano
At this rate I don’t think we are getting anything. The promised us a replacement, then teased us saying "something is coming" and then silence. If they were gonna do something, they would’ve by now. We have to start accepting that Cedar Fair wants the park to just sit there and make money while never providing needed updates to the park
Really hoping KI finally gets a stand out elite coaster.
A new gen Intamin, Mack, or Vekoma would be sick.
@@jandrew1994 Ground UP RMC SOB replacement would be awesome
@@1999YMCMB agreed.
I’m going with a wing at KD also. It would be cool for it to take Anaconda’s spot as well so they can go over the water… That would be so neat.
Im 10 minutes away from knotts and if they get a giga... that would be more than epic. Im trying not to get my hopes up since idk what are the chances of it actually coming, but man...
I still think Kings island is getting an extreme spinner next in homage to vortex. They need a top 10 coaster...
I would love that!
I agree.
That's what I'm saying! That's what I've been saying for a year now. It's gotta happen.
Mid park weep
If they get something like "Ride to Happiness" that would be amazing
For the Kings Island Vortex plot, I would like to see either a coaster similar to Copperhead Strike or an infinity coaster. Just what I would choose. However, that particular plot could fit a whole heck of a lot of different kinds of coaster types there. As always, great content.
An infinity coaster would be sweet!
copperhead strike sucks
Sleeper pick: Mack Xtreme Spinner. It'd be only the second in the country and the first in the country east of the Mississippi.
@@MarsJenkar I wouldn't be mad at that either
Maybe they will do a tilt Coaster there if it is a hit at Codaland in Texas.
I’d love a gravity group for carowinds, the new leviathan looks great, and we know about voyage, ravine flyer 2 ext.
ValleyFair Needs A Major Roller Coaster. In 2007 That Was The Last Time A Major Roller Coaster Was Added…😭😭😭
Cedar Point: B&M Giga or Hyper
Kings Island: Extreme Spinner
Carowinds: B&M surf Coaster. ( Vortex is not that good )
Kings Dominion: B&M Wing
Knotts Berry Farm: B&M Hyper
Canada's Wonderland: B&M Invert
California's Great America: Uro Fighter
Valleyfair: B&M Dive
Worlds of fun: B&M Wing
Dorneypark: Gravity Group Wooden Roller Coaster
Michigan's Adventure: GCI Wooden Coaster
I also love your videos :)
Thank you Cameron! Love your predictions! I’d love a surf coaster at carowinds!
Here is what I would add:
KI- Mack EXtreme Spinner
MA- Sky Rocket 2 or your Vekoma extreme Boomerang
KD- I was actually fine with the B&M Wing Coaster.
KBF- B&M Hyper/Giga- whatever gets approved.
Carowinds- GCI similar to GoldStriker. I would put it over by the old Dino Alive area.
C. Wond- B&M Flyer
ValleyFair- Smaller B&M Invert
Cedar Point- Eejanaika clone
WOF- Vakoma Coaster similar to a Lech Coaster
DP- Smaller GCI or Gravity Group Woodie
Just imagine CP with a eejanaika clone! Wow love it
+My prediction.
Don't think it will be an B&M Invert...
Launched Wing is my prediction, coming 2025
If you notice, CF and CW are being sneaky, they make aware certain things, yet not all.
The CF conference call was very telling though...
Super excited for this, can’t wait to see what they all get 🔥
Thanks Brandon Great news I'm now looking forward to an extreme spinner at Carowinds
Brandon those extreme spinning coasters would be a great addition to Cedar Point, but I don't know if I can handle the spinning!
Honestly it’s not that bad :)
I would love a coaster like either Ride to Happiness or The Flying Dinosaur added to Cedar Point. The last flyer I got to ride was Firehawk at KI before they tore it down and I loved that sensation. An extreme spinner would also be something completely different than any other coaster at CP.
My predictions:
2024 Dorney Park - Its almost certainly a B&M Dive Coaster like Emperor at SeaWorld San Diego.
Love love love these predictions!!! I really enjoyed reading them!
Thunderhawk is not rough, for an SLC at least. I rode it this last season, and I actually thought it was pretty smooth.
For Kings Dominion I love the thought of an S&S Axis replacing Volcano, only thing is Cedar Fair doesn’t tend to invest in prototypes
loved this video. one of your best for sure.
Wow, thanks!
With KD about to head into their 50th I see them replacing volcano soon.
I hope so
As a local Michigan resident I can totally see some changes in MA, it’s a still a bottom tier park obviously, but they are starting to improve it.
As a Kings Dominion visitor. I'm in shambles, please just help park has so much potential with it being right on I95
I love what CF is doing with KD! Good things are coming!
My hope for the main 5 (6):
Cedar Point: A boardwalk style dark ride in the boardwalk area.
Canada's Wonderland: MACK Multi launch
Knotts Berry Farm: B&M Giga. I mean, we all want this. Just give it a cool theme and queue line so it fits in with the park well.
Bonus
Kings Dominion: Vekoma multi launch. I think we all know what looping coaster this would replace and it would look great over the water.
Love the dark ride idea a lot!!!
@Zac G
I think that those ideas are just amazing!! 👍
Especially the idea of adding a new log flume to Carowinds, since the dry park needs a water ride.
Wonderland needs a launch more than a winged coaster. I like the call of a MACK launch.
Kings Dominion is better than Carowinds and Canada’s Wonderland. Both are overrated.
I'd like to see another Wooden coaster at Knott's or maybe a spinning coaster.
You should for sure make more bush garden videos if you can okay??
I don't think CF would get rid of both Time Warp and Flight Deck,. Time Warp for sure, but the GP seem to like Flight Deck. That being said I think a B&M wing coaster would be a great fit for the park.
Winter chill out news:
If guests had a keen eye, then they may notice that sections of the Iron Dragon track have been removed over in the area of the former Top Thrill Dragster.
The future looks bright for Cedar Fair! I just really hope they work with Intamin again.
Great predictions Brandon!!!
Hi my name is Ethan and I’m a big fan of your channel. This weekend I’m going to winter chill out at cedar point and I was wondering what questions would you ask if you were going? Ps. I can get footage for you if you want 😊
Hey! Thank you! The questions that I would ask would be answered with “that’s confidential” lol
Amazing ideas! Love both of them!
I’m excited for Kings Island’s future, which also happens to be my second home park!
Another great video great work bro! can't wait to start seeing this come to fruition and start riding these rides
Right! So true!
Yes, this is exciting news
What about the Coasters from CGA? Seems like they would relocate them during this time period.
🔥
Spend it all on a 4D S&S coaster at Gilroy Gardens
Carowinds desperately needs a water ride. I would love to see something like Infinity Falls come to the former RRR plot. I think the former Dinosaur area next to Afterburn is going to be the next coaster. A B&M dive coaster would be great in this area and they could extend the Aeronautica Landing theming to it.
What happened to Them Park Predictions and More? I watched a guide video on this channel and it said welcome to Theme Park Recommendations. So what happened? Was it just a rebranding and I msuhresd in that video?
So I am making some minor changes :)
All of my future recommendation videos will be on my Theme Park Recommendations channel
I dropped the and more to make the name cleaner. youtube.com/@ParkRecommendations
I would kill for a GCI woodie in the plot of Rip Roarin Rapid and the Amphitheater personally. It'd make Carowinds already insane parking lot view get even more impressive.
It would I agree!
Great video as always!
Michigan adventure-RMC Raptor
Cedar point- large scale GCI Woodie
Kings island- Mack extreme spinner
Kings dominion- launched infinity or wing coaster
Carowinds- rmc hurler or GCI
Valleyfair- Gerstlauer or b&m invert
Canada’s wonderland- intamin blitz/Mack multi launch
Worlds of fun- launched infinity
Dorney park- GG shuttle Woodie
Knotts Berry farm-B&M mega/hyper/giga
California’s great America to stay open at this point
Whatever kings island gets I just hope it's a stand out coaster. KI has so many great coasters but they don't have that one elite coaster like a fury, vengeance, twisted timbers. Intamin would be my first choice but that's not likely but a mack extreme spinner would be my 2nd choice.
My ideas
CP: modern wooden coaster from GCI or Gravity Group
C: Mack Power Splash
MA: Gersatluer Euro fighter
KD: B&M Wing Coaster
DP: B&M Dive Coaster
VF Mack Rides big dipper
WOF: Gerstaluer launched Euro fighter
KBF: B&M Hyper
KI: Mack Multi Launch
CGA: Nothing
Brandon, I watched this three times. Thanks for giving us something to be excited about during these cold winter days for those of us whose home parks aren't open year round. I can't wait until King's Island & Cedar Point are open!
I think king's dimion should add a launching b&m wing coaster to replace volcano
I think Kings dominion needs to replace volcano with a wing coaster.
If they get rid of corkscrew the replacement needs to over the midway, corkscrew isn’t a great ride, but how it sits on the midway is iconic
Well, IF I'm lucky, then Canada's Wonderland will be my new home park in roughly 2 months.
Oh really? What’s your home park now?

I want an intamin invert with a vertical launch at kings dominion but that would never happen
Would love that! Great idea
You should make a What Would A Roller Coaster Tycoon Movie Be Like video
Six Flags needs something like this happen to them.
After the dragster remodel I'd put money on Cedar Point adding a new water ride. Maybe ditch Snake River falls for a power splash or I know Tony has said that he would love a new log flume.
I think we are seeing the start of a second coaster war
I still think a mack family spinner with a lift and launch at Michigan's adventure would be a better fit tbh...
That’s a great idea!!!
Maybe a single rail, Skyrocket 2, or flying roller coaster will be added to Cedar Point.
Kings Island will see the Vortex replacement in 2024 or 2025. It's going to be great!!! Love live KI!!!
Kings Island I think will be a Mack multi launch. I'll keep saying over and over but Cedar Fair doesn't need Intamin. The GP who bring in the most money love B&M and less extreme coasters.
Well CP is getting Wild Mouse and Dragster revamp, so that's the next 2 years right there.
Yay for new Cedar Fair park investments!! 🙌
Erreerm!!! NO COMMENT!!! Whatsoever!!!!
My Dude... lol
You know you could just add a wing to Aeronautica Landing… I mean it just makes sense… thought finding a plot for it would be a little problematic.
I like your guesses
kings dominion should be 2025 for KD 50
@@McQ-wk5lu You’re right. Isn’t that what Canada’s Wonderland is though, a locals park as well? They was going to get one till it was canceled.
I want an rmc to come to ki just be I’ve never been on one and wanna ride one
2024 is my kd bet, 2025 latest... 26' seems too far out but I can easily be wrong
Cedar point T-rex?
Cedar Point usually gets the record-breaking coasters. It depends on what happens with Dragster but likely any large investment would likely break some kind of record. I know from past teasers they really want the height record back from Kingda Ka...
185 to 200M which is what they actually said for Capex is the same range they spent in 2022, 2021, 2019, 2018..etc... This is nothing more than click bait, it means nothing from what was already happening for many years
I hope the construction they’re starting near roaring rapids at Carowinds isn’t for a water ride or a GCI woody but an RMCed hurler with a fat layout.
200-Millio-CAN THEY BUY THE MINDBENDER FROM WEST EDMONTON MALL PLEASE!!!!
These are just my guesses so KD could be sooner :)
They are still trying to integrate the water parks as that was delayed from the pandemic, they said they are putting at least 20M into them over several years
Yess this is so exciting
Very exciting indeed!!
t's the same Capex range of 185 to 200M that they have given for like 5 years. Look up CF Capex..This is nothing new & changes nothing that wasn't occurring.
@@McQ-wk5lu I'm just saying its exciting that the smaller parks are getting investment too jeez
