    Thank you for sharing your video! I have an orchid and I desparately wait to see it with flowers. I noticed a growth between the leaves and I thought it might be a flower spike. Unfortunately, after your video I realised that it is just a new root.

    Thank you for posting this video, that was definitely helpful and I think one of the "roots" I see is actually a spike. Thanks again!

    Thank you, I've had my first orchid since mother's day. There's growth of leaves and roots, but was wondering if the root reddish in color is a spike. You've cleared that up for me.

    Thank you! This was very helpful. I am wondering if I should re-pot my orchid if it has the silvery roots all around it. Can the roots be cut?

    Well explained, but at 1.55 I think you have them the wrong way around. Root on top and spike at bottom?

    I have two kiekis from my phal that I could not separate them so I cut them and put them in water culture on 12.9/19 & now has what looks like a spike as well as roots is that common?

    Every time I try and put my flower stem onto a stick it breaks even though it's about 5 to 7cms long. Could you please give me trick to getting it not broken?

    I have about 4 orchid plants. I think all have roots no spikes. It's been 6 months since any blossomed. How long do I wait? Will they ever grow flower spikes?

    My mom got an orchid plant for her birthday (first time owner)and it’s got silver roots growing wild all around it. Does it need to be repotted or is that normal for an orchid?

    • @BaotransBotanicals
      @BaotransBotanicals  2 роки тому

      Hi! It’s totally normal for orchids to have aerial roots. You can keep them that way and mist them instead of putting them into the pots. They love hanging their roots out of the pot that way.

      Oh, watched the video again. Roots and spikes can grow from between leaves. Spikes always, roots not always is what I understood
