Iirc there are two types of castles. There are the fortresses and there are the mansions. You want the fortresses in pretty open places so you can set up cannons and retaliate. For mansions or residences, you want it far away from the coast, as ships have relatively good mobility.
@@a1ki11er I imagine the castle/fortress/mansion would have been built in the 1600s-1700s, so technically a fortress would be more accurate. Assuming the city was build since then. If its new, it can be whatever. I think coastal cities were the first to have been built. Like coastal California was developed earlier than many middle states (IIRC).
I miss his old city where he used SO much detail and put so much effort into every street making it as detailed an intricate as possible. It seems he's now just making a normal city like any other person, instead we want to see his talent and effort come back.
I like how kibitz’s avatar is kinda almost a madman, and he acts like all of his building projects are completely chaotic, but in reality he has one of the most beautifully organized and efficient cities I have ever seen!
You need to expand on the lore between the east and west side of your new island - maybe rival football/soccer teams or some sort of visible historical boundry.
I'm loving your slow, methodical videos. I just adore watching from the very beginning and seeing your city grow so large and so detailed and beautiful. Can't wait for the next vid 😊
KIBITZ!!!! You should terraform the castle area. Create a little hill where to place the castle! That way all the super high density from the other side of the island can have a view of it! Also it’s kind of accurate to have castles on hills!!!!!
I surely thought the ubiversity would move to make place for a central sports stadium with a mall area that went out a bit and had island parks, the subway, and ferry. Then the inclusion of more little islands for that city-on-archipelago thing you had going. Plot twist!
Yes, I've been saying that for several episodes. The way he built a tunnel underneath the river is just like the Lincoln Tunnel and the industrial area across from the city is like the industrial area and harbour in New Jersey near the Pulaski Skyway. And the way the southern portion of the one island has the downtown and financial district is like New York and its downtown and financial district.
We need customizable culdesacs. Is that a thing. It needs to be a thing. Instead of a roundabout at the end of a road or an abrupt end to a road. Would make neighborhoods more realistic.
That small island out to sea, near your new city sector, should have a small bridge leading to a fenced off community for the people at the top of the city. I know your base is on the moon and you use your space vision to look down upon them, but you need managers down on the ground side to make things happen, right? Why do they live among the rabble?
What if you used the mega roundabout The Real Civil Engineer created in his Every Road Is A Roundabout video? Or some variation of that and have it be in a main traffic area, or be a main convergence point for people driving to different parts of the city to switch where they're going easily, like a hub.
To me the area with the castle looks like a snail, with an antenna (Being the small roundabout on the island), and a head (Being the roads around the castle)
Cities skylines video + Kibitz. Makes my day
Agreed
Yeah
Technically it ends my day coz I watch at 11:50 pm lol
Agreed
Agreed 🤝
What could improve the city is some verticality/hills. The castle could look really cool if it was on a hill or cliff.
Was thinking the same. If he raised the land at Potato Point and placed the castle on top, it would look sick

Sir I think this is the wrong game.
Actually controlling rives was pretty important during sieges of cities
@@neoncatua5819 Yeah, small inlets of water can contain tons of troops, yeah you are right. So fortress could have been ok.

Ye ikr
"look it how perfectly the grid is! DON"T LOOK AT THAT.. sooo goood!" SENT ME
I like how kibitz’s avatar is kinda almost a madman, and he acts like all of his building projects are completely chaotic, but in reality he has one of the most beautifully organized and efficient cities I have ever seen!
0:50 gave me flashbacks of the farmer's protests in the Netherlands lol
"high highway" killed me 🤣! Nice video kibz! 😁👍
12:39 Maybe a Pedestrian road bridge for cyclists to go from the castle to the other area.
You need to expand on the lore between the east and west side of your new island - maybe rival football/soccer teams or some sort of visible historical boundry.
13:10 The castle road isn't a toe, it's an anglerfish!
Thinking the statue should be on island across from the fortress. Would look great
Fun drinking game. Watch the cities skylines 2 playlist and take a shot every time kibitz says mission critical
💀

Any Kibitz vid makes my happiness go from -1 to 10 in .1 sek
please upgrade the police and road maintenance budgets to maximum, which will help a lot with the congestion on the roads and accidents etc
I think you should build an almost old-town in that circle around the castle, using some alleys and ascew roads.
For East vs West Bonus Lore, split the district down that big empty island and put a gazebo or something. Annual disputed territory game!
Perfect upload timing, I just sat down to eat lunch and needed something to watch. Thank you Kibitz!
dude same
Same for a dinner
Pull a New York City and put the subway under the main roads! And have multiple Subway lines and bus lines
Technically it's inbetween...
I think the castle area looks like a Minion waving with the castle as the eye.... Another great video

Waiting for Kibz to eventually reach Worker Subunit 17, and inadvertently cause the Combine invasion of Earth.
Those buildings on the tiny islands need to fill in the water in between or better would be to park it
Greatest day ever when there is a cities skyline episode
24:19 You unintentionally used correct lane mathematics at this point, but I think that's a good thing.
Give the bronze statue it’s own island. Maybe the small one close by the castle
I was waiting for this 😊😊Just finished making dinner
so food, Kibitz, C:S2, what is life great sometimes 👌👌
13:19
That island could be the place for the Bronze Statue.
nothing better than starting a day with kibitz cities skyline video! 🤘 have a fantastic rest of your day too bro
some detailing and trees would be awesome
Seeing Kibitz upload a new City Skyline Video makes me happy😁
You can put in a massive walking path area across on the main land for the super rich people.
I surely thought the ubiversity would move to make place for a central sports stadium with a mall area that went out a bit and had island parks, the subway, and ferry. Then the inclusion of more little islands for that city-on-archipelago thing you had going. Plot twist!
once you fill out everything on the mainland, you should go for a Netherlands- style land reclamation project
there should be more things to spend on. Like Military defence bases, etc.
This new island reminds me of new york because of the island with the grid etc

Dear Star Trek Fans,
Is it just me or at 1:05 did the shadow of that plane look like the USS Defiant near the left, thank you.
Enjoying your CS2 vids. Thanks!
At the end of the day traffic is just part of a big city. It can never be perfect
God imagine if this game had rain physics with the roads..... hydroplaning on that turn off the highway would be..... Interesting to say the least
The death wave for this part of the city is going to be ~wild~
Oh, a Gritty cameo! I'm pretty sure we share > 99% of our DNA with the Gritty
Oh decent idea....why not make an outtee rim highway surrounding the island? I found in practice it destroys traffic like nothing else
I'm building my Satisfactory on stilts. High above the ground! I think you'd think it was neat.
An idea for a future video series, is to do something like Jeaunu Alaska, where the city is built on a series of many islands. Bridges... everywhere.
Idk why, but CS:2 Graphics really looks like the city is a circuit board when zoomed out.
Literally jumped when I saw you uploaded
Heyyyy i love you man you inspired me to play cities skyline al day😅
It’s my first time watching Kibitz after only watching City Planner Plays and similar creators for a long time. I am… traumatized.
Keep on going kibitz you Are the best 👍
Kibitz: we need power
Nuclear waste:💀💀
Until you develop nuclear fusion instead of fission. Then nuclear waste is not a big problem from what I've heard.
Hey that castle is actually really realistic and well done (I think). I wonder if it's based on a real one
your videos are chill
I want a new Dyson sphere video😅
You broke the pattern with the police hqs
Great video bRUTHER
The fact that UA-cam comments have a continuous trend of saying FIRST is crazy
Have you played the game, foundation? It’s a medieval city builder, that’d be a cool playthrough
Love how Collosal Order proclaimed they’d have a mega sophisticated traffic system and now look at this 😂😂
Hey!! Please show us your city using night mode🙃
Kibz you have a beautiful mind, and it's wasted on this game. There's no challenge for you.. we can tell.
2:38
America looking for a spot to build a new interstate highway access and they see a lower class housing district
We need customizable culdesacs. Is that a thing. It needs to be a thing. Instead of a roundabout at the end of a road or an abrupt end to a road. Would make neighborhoods more realistic.
you should make a area for the rich. Design it to look like Venice!
Belmont street in front of the castle, Dracula confirmed!
First, I love this serie.
The castle should be named "Toenail Castle"
Peak North American city design

new idea, maybe make a prison (or jail if it’s smaller) on one of the small island near the new city?
Since you reached the money cap, you could lower the residential tax so more people will move in.
Smoking a doobie and watching kibitz is just absolutely fantastic 🤌🤌🤌
Roberts Moses would be proud.
Can only imagine what steam says for hours played on this game lol love the videos!
You should make an island for a space station and/or a prison
Why does it look like martincitopants city in CS2?
Evicting the poor people is a true city builder moment as bad as it seems
make the area near the castle more historical plz, with mixed zoning instead of comercial and row housing instead of mid density
Castle island is an angler fish.
This city turns more into a carcentric hellhole every time.
I know it wouldn't fit the vibe but it would look funny in the dead spaces to put a few low density homes in-between the towers
What if you used the mega roundabout The Real Civil Engineer created in his Every Road Is A Roundabout video? Or some variation of that and have it be in a main traffic area, or be a main convergence point for people driving to different parts of the city to switch where they're going easily, like a hub.
the castle peninsula is vaguely phallic.
Put the bronze statue on the tiny island next to the potato
that's the ultimate power for us,,ask for the permition to copy your cities,,
Omg new vid!
Ah, looks like Kibitz could be an architect! ...well...in USA.
At some point, you'll have to sent the save to Biffa. See what he makes of it 😂😂😂
the money cap needs an infinite mod
my highway exit was basically stopped. a ped was walking on the highway, down the exit causing a huge traffic jam....
castle looks like an angler fish
kibitz you can see traffic volume on the traffic setting as well.
Get to a million peeps!
The lore he just crated between worker subunit 7 and 8
There is a Wonder building that's circular that would've been great for the potato.
To me the area with the castle looks like a snail, with an antenna (Being the small roundabout on the island), and a head (Being the roads around the castle)
Can you name the castle? Fort Kibitz!!!
Enjoyed the video.
Thank you!
