When flowers, judgement, and multiplayer shenanigans all appear in Gensokyo, it seems like everyone and their mother is itching to throw down. Who - or what - is behind the mass flower blooming incident? And what will the Judicial Branch do when they hear about it?

It's why the line...... "or a war.." comes last with higher emphasis.

Medicine Melancholy is a very underrated character, I dare to say she's one of the best in the series even with such limited roles.
I think her extra story arc gives her a lot of stuff to work with. If she came back anytime soon (Th19 maybe?), there's a lot of cool opportunities to give her a story arc
Shiki Yamada, my beloved. Even if she's actually from an eastern belief she incarnates the western religious ideals of mercy, absolution, and redention from sin.
And most importantly, she is certainly NOT a womanlet, like so many people like to depict her as 😡
Shiki could beat me senseless and there would be nothing I could do to stop her

Honestly, PoFV wasn't of my liking when I first played it, but now after your video. I'm starting to enjoy the little things this game has (as well as giving us the Sakuya's theme we all love), good work! I enjoy watching your videos :D
Thanks :) If I'm being honest, I did not enjoy rushing solo through a multilayer game very much 😅 The story was the main thing keeping me sane for those 10ish hours

idk how to feel about the part where you said it was based off the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004. Really not a fan of bringing real life tragedies to fictional media
Good to know I'm not the only rational one here in the comments who doesn't like actual serious events being simulated into Touhou or any other fiction.
In the game Eiki literally says that was either thanks to an earthquake, tsunami or volcano. I think it's pretty obvious to see where ZUN got the idea of the story from.

13:42 - I don't like that theory that the theme of POF has a connection to the 2004 Indonesian earthquake and tsunami. Not only that implication sounds inauspiciously grim but those deceased spirits "waiting in line" just because a certain buxom redhead was too lazy could be taken as a subtle insult to that many victims or their families who may happen to run into this. If it was really mentioned, POF should have that "all persons fictitious disclaimer" explaining what it contains are not basing on actual people or events. That is something every piece of fiction in existence should have and Touhou is no expection.
POF is just another mindless and senseless Touhou shmup of sadistic difficulty and tumultuous cacophonies. It has absolutely nothing to do and have no profound relevance to an actual tragedy where numerous lives were lost because of some abstruse sixty-year cycle rubbish from some dumb old religion. I am extremely incredulous towards a lot of unpromising and undesirable implications and theories between Gensokyo and the real world. But of course, there are some crazy whackjobs in this fandom who want to make shit up and go with those nonsensical ideas just to fill in the blanks whether they may sound ominous, offensive or just stupid.
