- At long last, another 35 MM Animatic has been created for you guys! This one does not have any warnings, so you don't have to worry about certain subjects being present. This took me a while to create, as I want to improve the quality of the animatics gradually! Although I'll probably stick to more simple colours rather than entire colour palettes next time.

The song does not belong to me, the music is from the musical " 35 MM ". I highly recommend listening to it!

Bonus: The Lover is purposely Androgynous! In the song it doesn't specify whether it was someone identifying as male or female [ I interpreted the word 'gay' in context to mean happy ] so it is entirely up to the viewer how they perceive them. - Фільми й анімація

My cousin sang this for an audition, and one of the directors was so impressed with her they asked her if she actually did ever have a bf or gf die, and she was like,”No.. I’m just a good actor.” She got the lead role.

for what musical was this?
It’s so interesting to see so many different interpretations. Mine has always been about how her husband and her met at a party. They got married. And she is left to clean up after the party’s he hosts. She wants to love him and him to love her but he is just focused on being popular among people instead of loving her.
I mean Wow... When I heard this song, from 35mm, I imagine the mention person to be dead at the end of the song not so soon, but in this case it really works and is tearjerking!
I like the interpretation of she's aching to be with a woman, but because of homophobia can't marry her like she so desperately wants. So she keeps marrying men and wanting divorce. But this interpretation was so heart wrenching!!! I love it!!!
Somehow I never took this song as the lover dying so I fucking screamed at 1:37

This is one of my favorite songs in 35MM, and while I always interpreted the song as being about an abusive relationship, your version is so beautiful and sad. I actually teared up when the art transitioned to color towards the end.
She's just trying, so hard, to hold onto her soulmate who died. I could imagine feeling the same, it's tragic and real. So many people don't recover from losing their person, their hearts. And I just discovered 35mm and have been binging your videos, they're phenomenal!! Your translation of these are great.

God this interpretation reminds me too much of Infinity Train and Amelia's backstory. Won't spoil what happened (It's in Book 1 of the show, that's all I say) but yeah, this absolutely encapsulates everything she went through.

@@catsarecute7285 This animatic shows the singer's partner dying, but this song has many different interpretations. The most common one I've seen is that the singer is having an affair with the person in the song. Another is that the singer has an estranged marriage she's trying to repair. The song is fairly open-ended with the story it tells, so there are a lot of ideas about what specific situation it is discussing.

this song is probably the most underrated on 35 mm i love it so much, and I also love this animatic :D
And to this day they say whoever watches this animation will begin to cry. Beware the sadness.
I’m singing this song for a school cabaret and I really like this animatic! It’s so heart wrenching. I always thought of it as a relationship where the woman wasn’t payed attention to by her lover, but I never thought of it as the lover dying. Really good work!

The animatic is pretty good, I didn't like, I loved it.
But can you explain the part of “the gayest party” please? I didn't understand at all
The term “gay” has another meaning aside from liking someone of the same gender identity. It can also mean “happy”
“The gayest party” would also mean “the happiest party”, so it implies that the happiest the Broad has been, was when she was with her Lover. So naturally that happiness became more difficult once they passed away.
I made the lover purposely androgynous, so if people wanted to interpret “gayest party” as the Lover being female, they are able to do so!
@@redletpuppet i absolutely LOVE this animatic. I keep coming back to it and the interpretation changes over time for me. When I first discovered it, it was “gayest” as in happy and the song struck a note for me with the possibility of losing the person I loved.
That person has now left me for a man so this song has a whole new deeper meaning for me in loving someone who once loved me but no longer has the capability to do so because he’s gay. The narrator in this song seems like her feelings are unheard and disregarded and I agree with that too because I can’t really get to be upset at him since he cannot control his sexuality, but I really did lose the most important person in my life.
Anyway, thank you for this. I find a lot of comfort in watching this. ❤
