I think thats the joke of this song. With the tone and initial idea you get from "What Is this feeling?" It sounds like a first love song you hear when a character has a crush but has never had a crush before. But in this one, its flipped to be hate, or "loathing" which sounds similar to loving on purpose. Its really well written!
When I first heard of this song I always thought they were talking about how much they loved each other and I was so confused why they so mad and stuff lmao
I remember that once hearing this song in a compilation of various compositions from musicals, most of which were known to me, I did not deliberately get acquainted with this one and I had to listen to it several times to find out that it was really about overwhelming negative emotion, not unexpected amorousness.

Unfortunately the styles of songs don't quite match up. "What is this feeling?", though it (supposedly) expresses hate, is an upbeat song whereas "For Good" is so somber that they can't really mesh. However, Popular might have been a better place for the line because it's still an upbeat song

Undoubtedly one of the best animatics I have ever seen! The way you contrasted the characters through design and comparing them through their identical actions truly replicated the songs whole point. Not to mention the direction you took in the angles and shot progression was entirely unexpected but wonderfully executed. I adored this so much, and cant wait to see what else you make! this was awesome??? i had to watch it back to back omg when i saw that you started the song with both of them in their room (and i love how everything from their stature to their decorations depicted their characters), i was wondering how you were gonna include all of the voices from the other students, so when elphaba opened the door to reveal everyone gathered around the door to gawk at her i screamed that was amazing!! i love it when people whirl a piece of cloth or something around to block the camera to transition into a new scene and you did the MOST with not only tying that up with the lyrics but also moving the plot along from arguing in their dorm to getting ready to leave. if it wasn't obvious already i totally loved this dynamic take and it made me start a new playlist just for animatics!! happy almost one year to this video!!

this was awesome??? i had to watch it back to back omg when i saw that you started the song with both of them in their room (and i love how everything from their stature to their decorations depicted their characters), i was wondering how you were gonna include all of the voices from the other students, so when elphaba opened the door to reveal everyone gathered around the door to gawk at her i screamed that was amazing!! i love it when people whirl a piece of cloth or something around to block the camera to transition into a new scene and you did the MOST with not only tying that up with the lyrics but also moving the plot along from arguing in their dorm to getting ready to leave. if it wasn't obvious already i totally loved this dynamic take and it made me start a new playlist just for animatics!! happy almost one year to this video!!
