Super Metroid. “The golden standard all such games should be judged.” I have small frames with scrolled icons of all my favorite things in my shop. Stuff like a NineInchNails logo and Quake 1, 2, and 3 logos. Painted most to make them visible from distance. Was inspired by Steve Carmichael.
I really like how you did the inlay for the frame. I enjoy doing inlay in my projects when possible. I like the pic as well I grew up playing punch out. Stay awesome.
I can understand your comment on lignum vitae, my specialty hardwood supplier had a couple of dirty, split pieces and he wanted $110 a kilo. For good quality African ebony, he charges $95 per kilo.
That is fantastic, Billy. Your expertise with the scroll saw and your artistic eye still amaze me. When you mention Newton Makes, you should point to the sign over your shoulder. Also is lignum Vitae even still available? Bill
I should. I'll try to remember that👍. It is available because I've bought it recently from Woodcraft. But it may have a regulation on the amount that can be imported.
If you are referring to the panel I glued into it, it won't expand because it's mdf. If you mean the bloodwood in the frame, no because it's super thin and narrow. It'll be all good.
This scroll saw art is for sale on my website. Link to my site in the video description.
This is the most underrated channel in my option. It’s absolutely cool what your doing!
Thank you do much! Scroll saw videos don't do great on my main channel so I'm hoping this one will be a good home.
Did the 1/4 inch MDF hold up over time without bowing?
I glued it to the frame so yes. If not glued then it wouldn't. I know because I've tried it before.

I need to do more inlay. I tend to simply not think about it.
I've said it before, but I love this technique you use to create the art
Thanks! Hopefully I get better and better.

The above price are in Australian dollars, so it would be a bit less in American dollars.
It's crazy expensive! That's why I made a weird sled to mill down a tiny piece. Gotta save it!

So do you sand the paper off or are you turning the paper towards the background?
I like your press. Do you have plans showing how to make it? Thanks
No plans but I have a video here ua-cam.com/video/dVJ9feaGN5U/v-deo.html
@@NewtonMakesArt Thanks
Do you have to worry about wood expansion with the frame like that? Or is it small enough it doesn’t matter?

@@NewtonMakesArtI was talking about the bloodwood. Awesome!
