The trade for Carrier meant nothing to most hockey pundits but the way it balanced the defense and allowed Guhle to play where he should be was a huge move. I agree with Boudreau. Not this year but they will be in the mix and play a good spoiler
Agree with you 100%, Carrier is solid and Guhle looks better. I love the grit showed by the boys, they're starting to believe in the dream. This is what a rebuild going right looks like
@Glacialspring if the laffs face the sens there's a good chance that could happen. from 2000 to 2004 the sens we're supposed to be a stanley cup contender team but the laffs we're always knocking them off in first round 4 year's straight. Pretty much the same as bruins vs laffs
whats more worth it? getting a higher draft pick. that may or may not be nhl capable. or giving your young guys playoff experience and confidence going into the next season.
I was thinking the same last night and again tonight. He needs to be sent down to the Laval Rocket until he decides that he wants to start playing again.
What's fueling the Habs is professional pride. They've finally started to believe in themselves and they've stopped letting their pride collect splinters on the bench.
Call me crazy, optimistic, delusional, but I’m calling Montreal makes the playoffs and ends up getting the cup like the blues did. Very unlikely I know, I don’t care. Go habs go
Not crazy, optimistic or delusional if they continue playing the way they are playing right now. The scary thing is that they'll get even better towards the end of the season.
Unfortunately, in leagues like the NHL, if you're not a contender, or you're not playing the draft lottery, it's quite worthless. It's nice that the Habs have improved but it will be a wasted season under these conditions. Provisions should be made for "middle of the road" teams who actually try.
@@mattm8108 Of course there will be exceptions. Some high drafts will end up sucking, and some low ones will excel. It's sports. But, it is much more LIKELY that picking someone in the top 1-5 will likely get you a better pick than someone at #15.

And added an experience cushion for when we need to move Savard. Barron might not have worked out but the Carrier trade made it worth it in the end.
😂😂😂😂

@@crazeinthedark Only for the right price ofc. With Savard it balances the defense still.
Turns out Scoring 5 goals a game and getting a shutout makes it easier to win games.
gotta admit Bruce really knows his hockey.
they make the playoffs and eliminate the leaf's in first round. gohabsgo
Would be worth losing a top ten pick just for that.
@@stevestreet4402 We are pacted of prospect it’s fine now
Leafs in 7
And then the leafs beat the sens in 7 in round 2

Majority of the Habs have better playoff experience than the leafs. They've actually had playoff success recently.

no tanking in Montreal...ever. We leave that to Toronto from the past
Bruce, there it is !
Slav is not playing the way he can and should be… he’s hurting the production of the top line.
I was thinking the same last night and again tonight. He needs to be sent down to the Laval Rocket until he decides that he wants to start playing again.
That's why he was sitting when Cole scored. He had a terrible game against the avs
@ he did have a terrible outing last night for sure. Looks lost and no effort
Priority number one!

The boys are playing for the playoffs, they're for real.
For an ex-coach, BBQ Bruce sure is struggling when it comes to some of the players' names.
@TheMaestro116 He's 70 years old. Cognitive decline is not uncommon for folks at that age.
Absolutely nothing was wrong with his pronunciations
Watch us get humbled by Chicago🙄. Thats just hockey ig
Dobes is the real deal.

Habs missed the playoffs by 2 pts in 2019, and look who they drafted that year

The Habs make the playoffs, that's a no brainer.
Tank on purpose to get e better draft pick? I don't think so, we're not even halfway into the season.
Ottawa in trouble. Looks like the rivalry will be rekindled.
Line eye
And ... the answer is : not for real, tonight they did not beat the last team of the NHL 😂😂😂. My hope is for 2025-2026 season with Demidov.
its laine. thats it 😂
