Heineman has been awesome. He’ll be a high end bottom 6 forward for us for a long time. He does everything right. Great on the forecheck, plays heavy, hits a ton and has a great shot. A pretty good passer as well.
Lets be serious here, Heineman is surprising the world of hockey since he did not have a great season at all in Laval last year. We should wait at least a couple of seasons before calling him "awsome". Do you remember RHP...he was "awsome too" ???
Emil Heineman is at plus 1 and plays about 10 minutes per game. The other rookies play from 16 to 21 minutes per game and have very poor +|- ratios . Maxim Tsyplakov is in the mix and is at +9. Emil Heineman is looking good.
To this date, I just can't understand why they drafted Mesar being such a small player, and a year later, paid 2 good draft picks to get Newhook, another small forward. Instead of picking Mesar in 2022, there was Tristan LUNEAU, a big right D playing in Gatineau which was still available...and a year later they drafted Reinbacher, a right D...because of needs for a right D !!!
I’d swap Newhook with either Heineman or Anderson Heineman has a better shot, protects the puck better, great motor Newhook did little with the top line and isn’t doing much on the second Anderson looks possessed this year, still doesn’t have the finish but could create some chances with Dach - Laine
solid bottom six player he's big has an edge and great set of hands ....he'll be with the team for a while.... Josh Anderson has been with the team for years and Emil has got more goals already than Josh has scored in any of the past 4 seasons
Yea i never understoud why he let go of Kovacevic for nothing. He was growing into a solid defensemen ... always in positive ratio in a really bad team. Big guy 6.5 225 pound. He's playing 19.45 per game in new jersey (a really good team this year) 11 pts +15 ....
@@HabsTypeBeat kovacevic is playing 24 mins a night, he isn't a bottom paring defenseman anymore, that's why getting a 4th for him wasn't nearly high enough
@@philippetessier6126 Kovacevic is averaging around 19 minutes this season and that’s because Pesce was hurt for a while. He’s now back to their 3rd pairing, averaging about 16 minutes a game over their last 10 and leading their team in giveaways during that stretch. He avenges like 100 giveaways a season. Can’t have more than 40 out of a 3rd pairing defensive defenseman. In general I’d say he’s worth more than a 4th but not by a ton. Either way Carrier is much better so it all worked out.
This is not a trade steal , toffoli at the time was our biggest trade asset . He was leading us in scoring and is a proven playoff performer plus on a cap friendly contract with term still. Heniamen has bin a pleasant surprise however he is a bottom 6 player . The other rookies are 4yrs younger then heinamen ....all these years of you making hockey videos and your still clueless about hockey
@HabsTypeBeat thats fine but toffoli was by far our best trade piece at the time , and thats all we got for , waisted the pick on mesar ..and if you think heinamen will have half the career toffoli jas had you need to switch sports
Nah it's 3 years older for most , tsyplakov is 26 and the rest are 20(hutson/gauthier/michkov) or 21 (stankoven) (celebrini is 18) and also Heinemen is in North America for about 1 year and a half so he could probably stil improve (while is shot always been is strong suit). I think he says steal because Heinemen wasn't the #1 asset in that trade (bad first round selection so far in Mesar) but luckyly we got a 20 goal scorer of 23 years old with upside for the third line. Never got ennough scorer trough the line up.
He’s the prospect Hughes contacted after the trade saying, “we want you to be a part of our organization”. It’s like asking why Toff gets traded, teams want him and give good assets to get him. Good scorer, great in the room and apparently loved by his teammates. If the price is too good to pass up, you pull the trigger. Can’t wait to see what he does over next few years as more spots open on third and maybe even second line.
Need to talk about Guhle guy use to be called the "Terror of the WHL" and they guys about as soft as them come even through the wins the guy has been a ghost getting paid 5 mill to be a -27 on his career and the only time i notice him now is when he lets a goal in on his shift. He need to hit, pass, shoot, create plays more or that contract gonna be a bad one.

I would’ve had Heinamen on the second line a Pazzetta on the fourth
Keep Heineman trade Mesar and you got yourself a winning trade

Mesar was said to have marner type talent. I’d like to see a line of Dach, Slaf and Mesar.
