@@OrigamiTree where did You buy the "canvas aprons" from. As I'm going to be doing an art class for a senior center and would love to nip that issue in the bud. This way, I'll make sure that they have aprons before we begin & no one gets their clothes ruined. Thank You for caring for Our Elders. #💓💜💞💕🦋
@@indigenouschildrensstorytime Hi there! I got them from Amazon. I don't think they sell the exact same one anymore, but you can check this out. It comes in different colors too and the price is reasonable ($2-ish each): amzn.to/3UUjRkS
That was so nice of you to help them with doing crafts. That lady at the end saying all they get is cabbage, pork, and something else made me feel sad for them. I'm not sure if she was joking or not. Hope you have a good day!
I think there's some truth to her statement. The meals they serve aren't very varied. They also don't get a lot of funding for activities, meals, and other things.
That's just what the center offers. I believe it's controlled by the NYC Dept for the Aging, but I'm not 100% sure. Nutritionists ensure that the diet is a balanced one (veggies, meat, grains, certain number of calories, carbs, etc.), but I'm not sure how tasty it is...maybe like hospital food.
Such beautiful creations! I'm so glad they got aprons and a chance to paint treasure boxes. Thanks for sharing!
f it's so good to see people volunteering in this world
You are so awesome! Makes me want to go volunteer at a senior center.
You should definitely look into it! Remember, one day, we will all become seniors too.

Thank you. I am an origami enthusiast from the Philippines and I am inspired to share my origami knowledge to a home for the elderly. Salamat!

+Jenny W. Chan - Origami Tree that is indeed sad news. Aren't there programs that can help with that?

She's stated that that is All that they are getting is the same thing & not varieties at all for dinner...

You’re such a sweet person Jenny! I wish to be like you one day.
Respect 👍
Oh wow they have great talent😊❤
Great Video!
Sooo sweet
Where are their aprons?
They better feed those people
Why was no one wearing the canvas aprons???
Most of them were wearing aprons! Not everyone wears them though, and we don't force them to, but we offer it to all. 🙂
