Icon Golf Cart Six Seater LIthium Battery Allied 48V 105aH Commercial

Quick video showcasing a lithium battery upgrade into an Icon 48V six seater golf cart in Coronado, San Diego.
Eight sealed lead acid batteries that individually weighed 68 lbs were removed. A large plastic battery tray has enough space for one Allied commerical 48V 105aH model lithium iron phosphate battery and onboard charger. One NOCO GCP1 15A AC Port Plug in installed.
Note, the Allied battery fuel gauge (SOC gauge) had to be used because the Allied battery and Icon software do not talk, Otherwise, the Allied battery SOC would report on the Icon dash display.
Note, the blue Icon 48V onboard charger is left installed because it communicates to the Icon cart.
Install is very DIY friendly

Original lead acid battery capacity was 5.6 kWh - with a total weight of 544 lbs .
Allied battery capacity 5.4kWh and weighs 108 lbs, zero maintenance, 8 year mfg warranty
Allied Battery does not recommend running lower than 20% and charging to 100% after each use.
The battery should be charged after every use, when the onboard charger light stays green for over 3 minutes, unplug power from cart

Any issues with lithium conversion? I’ve heard some icons had breaks locking up etc with lithium conversion

This is true for some lithium batteries because the icon has a very high amp speed control. We have tested the 105 model and it has performed well with the icon golf cart
