  • In this video I show the most common reason that your self propelled push mower is really hard to push back and forth. This will usually happen when the mower is left outside for a long time and it will rust the mechanism inside the wheel. IT's a very easy fix that you can do yourself at home and save money!

Quick question: After performing your work steps, the wheel now spins freely when I put the lug nut at mid tightening. As soon as I fully tighten it, it's locked in place. Any recommendations?

HI. The axle shaft is supposed to stick out ever so slightly past where the nut goes on the wheel to keep that from happening. Did you change the wheel? If the wheel is to thick then it'll tighten up on the wheel instead of the axle.

I bought a simplicity, 2004 2006 Broadmoor 16 horse 40 inch deck I don’t know what year it is or what size deck it really is. It’s kind of hard to start. What kind of gas should I use? What kind of gas should I use the l trimmer is can gas OK from Walmart? To use.

HI, of course I can't see it but normally those riders usually just use pump gas. The trimmer is normally 2 cycle so you'll have to mix oil with the gas. They might sell that gas already mixed at Walmart or Lowes, but you'll pay a premium for it. They sell a 2 cycle pre-measured oil that you just dump into exactly 1 gallon of gas... I usually use the ones that are 2.6 OZ for 1 gallon. It's 50:1 ratio, but you'll need to check with your manufacturer to see what the recommended ratio is for the trimmer.
