Flat faced popper with rubber legs and a bit of feather is the reason I discovered fly fishing. As kids, my older brother and I, tossed them back and forth with spin cast rod and reels constantly striving for more distance and stealthy landings around the snaked infested farm ponds near our house. It always worked when nothing else did. I still ponder what the fish sees in them.
HELLO , ihave a question. i am an beginning fly tyer. How do you get the colours or the markings and drawings on the head of the popper. Many thanks for your answer
You’ll probably cover this in upcoming video, any advice on leader or tippet size & type? Do y’all prefer mono, or fluorocarbon? I’ve been using 4# fluoro on 4wt catching nice bluegill and up to 2# largemouth on small foam bugs, but want to step up to my 6 or 8wt and target larger bass with poppers 🙂Thanks for great video! 🎣 (loved the Umpqua swimming frog)
Charlie Boutin There are a few videos already that touch on this and yes, more to come. In the meantime, send your questions over to the shop at admin@madriveroutfitters.com and they will answer you there. Thanks for being here.

Duck tape next time please
Can't. They wouldn't give us the rights for the patent. It's a special tape that we developed for this application. Thanks though.

Scott M. It’s true. All about the butter.

Umpqua swimming frog looks sick!

Thank you. Awesome video.

The American Flag looks great. Well done.
Thanks for being here. Much appreciated.
I like the slider ( Sneaky Pete) variety, they are great for bluegill
RONALD FISHER Top pick for sure!
I find that anything small enough to fit in their mouth is great for bluegill. Sometimes that doesn't even matter haha
The beauty of panfish on a fly.

Swimming Frog!
Best frog pattern EVER!
Difficult to determine popper size without seeing them in person.....what size are those Booglebug poppers you're holding up?
Thanks
Size 4 is what we use most.
I'm really curious about this chart in the background.
Give a call to the shop and they will be happy to explain.
Could I use these with just a spinning rod and reel, I don’t have a fly reel, but looking for a top water lure for panfish
Probably not but you could try.
Another great video. You mentioned a video on how to fish the popper. Any idea when it will be available? Thx.
Should be pretty soon. Stay tuned and thanks for watching.
What kind of indicators do you use with a popper
No indicators needed with a popper. The popper itself is the indicator.
Awesome ! Will be ordering some of these.
Thanks for being here.
Always amazing content
Thanks and please stay tuned.
X Mark's the spot 😀😀
