The pose combined with the base gives this guy so much attitude, like he's barely got time to deal with the ork and is checking his watch because he needs to be somewhere else xD
It isn't looks like converted rank-n-file soldier at all. Great miniature! I'll definitely try to make Sternguards out of my Crusaders. Thank you for inspiration!
Cheers! It's one of those times when all the parts just work together 😄. Making Sternguard is a really fantastic idea, the Crusader kit overall is amazing, given how much is included.
It's AK Deep Red, a very pure, saturated red. I think the only downside for me is that the medium dries more matte than the other colors. If you don't varnish it afterwards, it can look a little strange.
Thanks mate! The Vallejo Metal Color line is hands down my favorite, but sometimes it's too good. I found AK metalics to have some really decent colors, but those take a bit to get used to. The wash is Army Painted Speed Paint Grim Black + Liquitex Flow Aid, about 1/2 mix, with a bit of water on the brush.
GW would make so much money if they started making more upgrage kits, non Chapter specific ones, a sprue of twenty heads, one with helmets, one of twenty shoulder pads, one of twenty weapon arms, all unique looking and created to allow people to make more unique models. Cool eagle fronted helmets, more ornate shoulder pads and weapons, it would be fine if models had less options on them, if you could at least buy more options seperately. They could even have more then one kit of each type, just bring out more and more, unique heads, helmets, weapon arms and so on, they would sell like hotcakes, provided they're priced right. Also the combi weapons for the Black Templars look way better then the Sternguard, I hate the drum magazines being on top, and the combi plasma is just silly, the plasma coils are right under the barrel of the bolter, it's not like those things are infamous for getting so hot they melt through armour. They should have just made them all like the combi Meltas, they're the only well designed ones. Also if I'm going on a tangent, what's up with the long vents on the new flamers? The vents are supposed to let air in while also blocking strong winds, but these ones are along the barrel of the flamer and the nozel and pilot light are sticking out the front with zero cover. So what good are they other then to look stupid, just bring back good old proper flamers. It's like these new weapons were designed by people who've never seen guns. I mean look at how the Sternguard hold their heavy weapons, their left wrists don't bend as much from that position. I love the models but sheesh. Sorry for the long tirade, but it's been bothering me and I needed to let it out.
Yeah, I do think they could do something similar to what they did with the Horus Heresy upgrades. It's the main reason I've recently been looking into 3D printing; getting a box just for a few bits isn't financially viable.
If you haven't yet, here's last weeks video, I harvest all the bits - ua-cam.com/video/P7TKLAjx6YQ/v-deo.html
Can't get over how "official" this kitbash looks with only a few swaps. Now have the urge to buy MOAR Templars and get 'bashing.
The pieces did come together a surprisingly well, cheers! There must always be MOAR !!!!!😄
The pose combined with the base gives this guy so much attitude, like he's barely got time to deal with the ork and is checking his watch because he needs to be somewhere else xD
😄 That reminds me of a scene from Helsreach, where they take care of the random orks before the main Waaagh arrived.
I love the kitbash, but i find it very funny that that intercessor arm with the screen and buttons ends up on so many kitbashes on yt xD
Cheers! 😄 Its a go to arm for an awesome pose, one of the few tactical arms that isn't holding something.
surprisingly simple kitbash for how good the final result is! paintjob really compliments the model, too. good stuff
Thank you! Sometimes simple is both fun to make and decent to look at :D
awesome bud. glad you did another great Templar. keep up the great work.
Thank you mate! I really need to start making some xenos, but I can't stop with space marines 😄
Did you consider doing a couple of small dot highlights of a true metal paint on the reflections after the wash stage?
I didn't think of it at the time, but I think it's a great idea for me to go back in and add a few. Should make it pop even more. Cheers!
Dude you're incredible! Can you do a video on how you started kitbashing?
Thanks mate! It's definitely a video I want to do eventually.
Love the video! Your painting skills are pretty awesome
Thank you!

Really awesome model!!! 😊
Thanks!
@@AnotherDayMiniatures you are welcome 🤗
I love how much some templars (such as this one) look very black legionish
I think it might be all the extra spikes and trims 😅
looks epic, great character :D
Thank you! 😀
Wow
I want to kitbash something for my dark angels now
Great mini!!!
Thank you!
What red are you using? It looks decadent lol

the glowing eye looks awesome! the gold look stunning, i might have to look into getting some new metalics. also, what wash did you use on the black?

interesting. thanks

Woah!
😄🤘
Kitbashing ftw
😀🤘 Cheers!
Could have put the seal on the right part of the chest could have worked
That was one of the spots I thought about too, but it felt like it would just take attention away from all the other parts around it.
How do u spell sprogro ? Im hevaly dislxic this is y i asking
Sprue Goo, it's a combination of tamiya thin cement with left over GW Sprues. I found it by watching Vince Venturella.
Vince Venturella is amazing
