You will have to touch it up about every oil change, or after every car wash, it is going to fade or come off, , tires with white letters from the factory is actual white wall, built into the tire, just spray with a good tire cleaner before going through a car wash, if you have the time to ( hours ) paint the letters that's cool too...............
Have you ever tried “white wall paint” that one on a paint bucket? I was thinking about trying that with a precision brush. Would’ve been a lot easier and cheaper for us at least because We have 16 wheels to paint in sweden and bad tyre markers available.
As a retired ex-owner-op, I just bought some brand new Goodyear Wranglers for my 1981 Ford f-150. My big rig went thru too many tires to do this, but my pickup only goes round town. I won't put Chinese tires on my old girl. Thanks, because I'm going have my American tires whited out. And i have Goodyear stickers on the way. I'll fly my flag where it counts, so thanks for the tips.
If you let it dry 24 hours before rollin, it will look good for a year or so, but it ill be on there for the life of the tire, just faded. Wash, rinse, repeat...
The best one i found Home Depot in paint dept. Sharpee paint pen gotta be oil base mine will last almost a year after a couple coats. Looks Awsome!!!!
Looks clean! Thanks for sharing this video.
Hmmm....story time? I came here simply to see the process.
I outline my lettering and I use the paint pens from the craft section of Walmart
I WILL BE AT THE STORE IN THE MORNING WHEN IT OPENS UP !!

Awesome video, does the paint really last long or do you need to touch up the paint every couple of mouth. Hope this makes sense. Thanks
Thanx for showing the alcohol clean up trick

I have tried a lot of different paint pens and I think regular Sharpie paint pens work the best. They are oil based.
How long does it last before it starts fading? Is it waterproof?
Takes a little bit longer outlining and alot more patience LOL but worth it, and I like being different
How long does this generally last?
You must have a long layover.
Bob Ross. Great artist.
Godbless Dale
Do you put tire shine after? I painted mine & added tire shine and the letters got dirty & stayed dirty after a wash. Now gotta re paint them
What if it gets dirty?
