Great video. I think it is a discrimination when a transgender activist says that intersex people are the prove that there are more than two human sexes because this person actually says that males with Klinefelter syndrome are not true males but something between men and women.
Yes, it is a denial of who they are and their biology if, for example, someone claims that a male with Klinefelter syndrome is somehow 'in between' sexes. It's scientifically inaccurate and offensive. Thanks for the comment!
Tortoiseshell or calco male cats are classical example of Klinefelter syndrome in other species . To have te orange and another color ( white is a non color from a genetic point of view ) you need two xx in cats , so most calico ( white , orange and black ) or tortoiseshell ( black and red or grey and red ) are females , but if a male cat has calico or tortoiseshell coloring it means he has two X chromosomes ,so they are xxy , that’s why the extremely rare male calico or tortoiseshell tomcats are always sterile
Do Klinefelter guys look more like the parent who gave them the extra X, since they have more genes from that parent? Or is that extra X minimally used?
I found this thread on Twitter claiming that XXY is not the same as Klinefelter. mobile.twitter.com/benmcginnes/status/1162106669007953920 Not sure if this is true or not. What do you think about it?
@@isaacwgnr130 My uneducated guess is that it's possible if the Y-chromosome doesn't have a SRY gene or it isn't activated ... but that would be like having two DSDs in one, right? If true, it must be extremely rare
@@TheHammersongs That is what I came up with too!! And I think it makes perfect sense tbh. Haha yeah, two at the same time, it probably is extremely rare
@@reflux043 yeah that's absolutely self explanatory that you'd need to be "intersex". Intersex is just an umbrella term for any abnormal sexual development. A more proper term is also "disorders of sex development" (DSD). Anyone with XXY chromosomes falls under the intersex/DSD umbrella automatically. We were just wondering which concrete condition a XXY female (if they really exist) might have.

@@ParadoxInstitute is klinefelter an intersex condition?
@@azaelmiller7155 I think so
@@azaelmiller7155 yes. One only males can have.

Are they all sterile or just the majority?
Personally, I think it's misandrist to deny the fact that Klinefelter dudes are dudes.

Good question!
Thanks for the video 🙌

Huh I think it sounds crazy. I have never ever heard of a case with a xxy female but I would love to know this persons sources! O:
