Shon, I was 30 years old when this came out in 1977, and it seemed to play on the radio constantly. What a wonderful reaction. You are my favorite when it comes to authentic reactions. Keep going, you are loved.
It was an era in music development unrivaled even by the classics like Chopin and Bethoven, and their ilk. Electric guitars coming on scene was like throwing gas on a fire in how massive was the growth from 1945 to the 80s. Boomers fueled the growth with their romantic coming of age around 1960-65. 60s 70s and 80s will never by repeated but luckily we have recorded it all and can play the icons of then, over and over, icons for the ages.
‘Baby Come Back’ reached #1 Jan 14, 1978 and stayed there for 3 weeks… and stayed on the Billboard Chart for 32 weeks! Longer than any other song in 1978. I was 15 yrs old… I’m blessed to have grown up in the best music times ever 😁
The guy in the red shirt Ronn Moss played Ridge Forester on the soap opera The Bold And The Beautiful for 25 years after the band broke up Great reaction ❤
Wait…..wait…….wait. Ronn Moss is in this group???? I watched Bold & The Beautiful in the late 80’s into the early 00’s. I love the character of Ridge Forester
This is one of those 70s massive pop hits that hid a down-lo great guitar solo. Nothing too flashy or over the top, but just what the song needed to breathe.
Loved the reaction, brother! Man, it's even funny to me, when I realize how many of my favorite singers weren't brothers! Like, blue-eyed soul was a rare thing. Just sayin', our Father passes "soul" around to everybody! Peace
That bass line by Ronn Moss is the BOMB! The lead guitar and lead vocals by Peter Beckett including the falsetto are on point! SOULFUL! I love the keyboards too! Great harmony by the group too! The is a classic top-40 groove! 😊👏🏾🎤🎶🎸🥁🎹💯
Maybe I am too dramatic, but I honestly feel so grateful to have lived my life in the universe at the time where I could hear this song and songs like it.
Finally, a proper review of this song! Dude, your reaction was spot on and I appreciate the way you covered all the various components of the song. New subscriber from this review.
I was 8 when this came out in '77. My elementary teacher has just told the class that she was moving to another state and I had a crush on her. I remember walking to school the next day, singing this song to myself. My first real crush.
These guys had us teen grls crushin' so hard. Yep, sing this and Im comin' back, lol. The harmonies r fabulous and had us melting on the floor. Thats when u'd see bras, panties, etc flyin' up on stage. Concerts in the 70s were the best. Thanx so much, Peace
I really think some of the people requesting other songs are getting a little nuts with the bands & songs they're asking for 10 cc was a one hit wonder and I now see that these hip hop artist are now giving their opinions on TV shows and movies. I need to see what I have to do to get in on this $$ game.
Does my heart good to see younger people appreciate songs I grew up with. Back in my day, bands wrote music to steal a girl's heart. Keep listening to great music my friend
I'm subbing just for your joy! Thanks for the Player reaction. I was a teenager who dreamed that a guy would think that way about me. 30+ years married must mean I found him! 😃
Love love love this song and your reaction!! This came out when I was in highschool and my friends and I would play this knowing our boyfriends would be begging us back if we dumped them for being jerks! Never happened, but great teenage memories!! I remember sleepovers with 3 or 4 girls and we’d play this in my room on vinyl and sing it top of our lungs! Good memories!! I’m 55 now but this takes me back!!
Just like you,I his song transported me to my childhood, but I remember it from 70's commercials; not from Transformers. Hard to find someone who hates this song. One of my favorites.
Fantastic reaction, one of my favourite songs. I would really love it if you could play British artist Conner Reeve singing Ordinary People. He has written songs for so many really great artists. This would make an old woman very happy😊 it's a truly beautiful song. Thank you x
1977, my first high school year. My first boyfriend. Brings back so many memories. I love how youngsters like you discover the music from my teenage years. Still got the vinyl album

Dude, these brothers can sing. This is a massively underrated band......they have 3-4 more really great songs that I can remember.
More than 3 or 4 more great songs just saying
One hell of a song...never gets old. Shon, the realization of where you heard the line "baby, come back" was priceless. Keep up the good work.
The guy in the red shirt Ronn Moss played Ridge Forester on the soap opera The Bold And The Beautiful for 25 years after the band broke up
Great reaction ❤
That was RIDGE?????? I GOTTA GO BACK AND SEE.
I went back. I never never knew that. I loved ridge.
And from what I understand, he quit the show to go back on tour when the band reunited.
Yes, it's Ridge, wish he would come back to B&B for real.
Wait…..wait…….wait.
Ronn Moss is in this group????
I watched Bold & The Beautiful in the late 80’s into the early 00’s.
I love the character of Ridge Forester
The cool part about the 70's was that sometimes rock hit really hard and other times it hit really soft.
So now you should check out the group Ambrosia, same great 70’s music. Also check out the Little River Band! They never disappoint
If you play this song and “I Was Wrong”, by Chris Stapleton and she STILL doesn’t come back, she gone. 😂
Hahahaha true. We are suckers for the begging!😂
Good riddance tbh
Then you need to Hall and Oates.
Listen, this song is magnificent on so many levels! I’m 54 years I grew up listening to this song, and this song is nothing short of amazing
I grew up listening to this when it hit the air waves back in the late 70s........STILL holds today...love your reaction
Ambrosia - Biggest Part of me /// Bobby Caldwell - What you Won’t do for Love

One of my all time favorites. I remember when this song came out. I was 17.
Add it to the playlist :)
This is one of those 70s massive pop hits that hid a down-lo great guitar solo. Nothing too flashy or over the top, but just what the song needed to breathe.
Always love hearing the solo at the end, and to be played by the lead singer makes it even more legendary.
Bro.. yes it was in Transformers when Megan Fox was walking away from the car when it broke down!!
Shon, you are a funny dude to listen to these songs. You are a good guy.Keep rocking Brother. 🥁☮☘
But he pauses and talks too much
Loved the reaction, brother! Man, it's even funny to me, when I realize how many of my favorite singers weren't brothers! Like, blue-eyed soul was a rare thing. Just sayin', our Father passes "soul" around to everybody! Peace

Greatest music, love, fun, and life in general.... ❤ .... MY generation !! Sigh... 😉 😊 ❤
Hard to imagine that Ron Moss (guy in red) was a soap opera star! Knew him as an actor before I knew him as a rockstar.
The instrumentals at the end are just begging, pleading, and crying. Fire on top of fire!
Maybe I am too dramatic, but I honestly feel so grateful to have lived my life in the universe at the time where I could hear this song and songs like it.
Shon, you're always on point. I think you're a spirit from 1976.
You’re in for a ride!! ❤️🤣

Another song I used to get the same vibe was I'm not in love by 10CC.

10 cc was a one hit wonder and I now see that these hip hop artist are now giving their opinions on TV shows and movies. I need to see what I have to do to get in on this $$ game.
