Where does your friend even keep his guitars for them to get into this condition? They’re like when you see someone find a guitar that’s been in a barn for 20 years 😂
I work as a CNA in a hospital, ive touched some pretty nasty stuff with and without gloves. I can confidently say that this is one thing id absolutely have gloves on. Great video as always.
Wanna know why works better than razor blades and is faster oven cleaner it destroys the gunk and is easily wiped off after I picked up the tip from guitar techs in central and South America and been doing it ever since
If you don't like the smell of WD-40 ... after soaking in vinegar and rinsing with water... add another step where you soak the parts in vegetable oil for a couple minutes and then just wipe them off really good with a microfiber cloth.
I recently picked up a Ibanez GIO and there appeared to be dried dog snot, hopefully it was dog snot, all over the front of the guitar. I used Lysol wipes and gloves.
can you make this a series on both of your channels? I love seeing guitars being restored with commentary! and I also restore guitars as a sideline. I enjoy it even though I have to deal with human oils, dead skin, nail clippings and sometimes even animal shit on certain parts of guitars🤣
The series is gonna stay on this channel, but I'm hoping to be able to make more of these videos in the future! Don't currently know anybody with such rancid guitars, though
Omg, wtf was with that booger tissue from hell knows when?! It’s a great idea as a tissue holder, but still don’t wanna know what lurks in those crusty boogers. 😂😂😂 Way to use ass wipes on a guitar - nice idea! Who doesn’t love double duty (pun intended!) products?!
Is he literally taking dumps on these guitars? I know some people haveote acidic gross sweat, but if i were one of those players, id clean my gear often. I was a guitar repair guy as a part time gig throughout college, not a legit luthier, and ive seen college kids guitars that looked and smelled so bad, i had to wear a mask when cleaning them. I cant believe how people neglect the gear that they value as much as some musicians
Saw the thumbnail and I just KNEW it would be the same owner from the double Deans
Well… 😂😂😂
I love the paper towel dampener on the bridge while the uncut strings on the headstock were definitely making way more noise.

Ive been wanting one of these old jeff loomis sigs for a while, and seeing it just sit and rust is sad.
Thank you for bringing it back.
Good news: this video is a few months old, I've since actually bought the guitar so it has a permanent loving home now.
@@sevenstringtv please do a cover on the river dragon has come.
How? Just how? I've seen computers from the mid 80s that lived in barns with less dust, rust, and other assorted garbage inside.
😂😂
It's the "Grunge-Caster", nice job on the cleaning.
always wanted one of those jeff loomis guitars but never pulled the trigger on getting one
Definetly get one if u find it, i have one and it’s awesome!!
You are a friend indeed, great work!
And I thought I was bad at maintaining my guitars

Well done! I also have a JL signature, but in a better condition :D
Extra points for Knocked Loose riff and Spectre Digital Singularity!
Awesome restoration and 9:18 is my favorite part of the video 😂
Not even kidding .. Loop that montage video for like 8 hours and I'd just be sitting there, watching it, so satisfied and chill ..
The grossest guitars I ever saw were shecters. Apparently monster energy isn’t good at making you clean.
And sweating profusely.
That's what Kyle said right before he punched another hole in the wall.
genuinely confused as to how a guitar gets in this state lmao
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE never stop using the jazz bumpers. 😊😃🤣😊

How timely. There's a beat up omen 7 I've been eyeing. Gonna check it out tomorrow!
Get a bargain and restore it!

Nothing more satisfying then returning a neglected axe to its former glory...nice job!
Why didn't you use something like Dunlop body and fingerboard cleaning kit?
a) It's a painted maple fretboard, can't use any fretboard cleaner on that.
b) I used body polish, who cares if it's Dunlop or not?
@@sevenstringtv I said something like Dunlop not specially Dunlop
This is the dust version of the infamous poop guitar
The what?
i had to do a deep clean on my used MiM Jackson, swear the previous owner was sweating literal acid.
@@IsntGwen we can that "piss hands". I have a friend with piss hands. He's the Usain Bolt of wearing out guitar strings
That is a shit ton of work condensed into 12 minutes…well done my man 👍

What brand of ultrasound cleaner did you use i thought about getting one
Some BS that was on sale on Amazon years ago, they're really all the same hahah
Can you make a video of getting a second hand guitar that doesn't work And fix it
9:09 Whats with the Dönerladen?
Glad I'm not the only one who heard that lmao
When I saw the thumbnail I was like, "hey, I didn't know Tim Armstrong played a 7 string!"
Then I watched the video and face palmed.
Gut gemacht! Cheers
Is the bridge on the wrong way?
No
@@sevenstringtvWhy not?
I was eating and nearly PUKED when I saw the guitar at first
Also great choice with the Knocked Loose
😍 not bad for EMGs
Where did he store it, Castle Dracula?!
2:07 me on the toilet wiping wondering how he knew
Such a sad sight: A neglected Jeff Loomis sig.
Not anymore! Restored it and bought it off him so it has a nice loving home now
@@sevenstringtv my man! The loomis neck and fretboard radius are the most comfortable I've ever played

Ahh from the Schecter era when they used baseball bats for necks.
Those chonky necks are super comfee , great studio guitars too.
wheres the green sm7b
On its way 👀👀
YOOOOO IT’S A FILTHACASTER
The question is why
Yeah, those EMGs are pretty rancid ;)
Before I watch, it will be a real disappointment if no Rancid riffs are played during this video.
i want this guitar😭
does your friend live in a sewer by any chance? is he a mutant ninja turtle?
lmfao it's the chris chan guitar
