I wonder if they’ll allow us to use the 1 Month free trial slowly, counted daily, instead of all at once within the month. This would be great to activate it for road trips and could last us at least a year or 2
I might be wrong but i bet it's 30 calendar days, since i got 10,000 free supercharger miles... for two years, that is.

I just got a software update for my 2023 Model Y which is just over a year and a month old. free 30 day trial with software v12.3.2.1 yay!
I’ve bought beta twice. 12k for the first and 15k for the second. It’s expensive but absolutely worth it for safety and being really into tech and AI it’s been a lot of fun watching it get better
It’s definitely fun if you’re into tech, but it doesn’t make the car any safer; it’s the opposite actually. Basic AP with its active sensing suites are the safest option, which comes for free in all models

I wonder how safe FSD will be with tesla Vision... Especially when it's parking itself in a crowded parking lot. Hey, off the subject, but... Have you heard anything about a BYD Blade Battery in the new, cheapest model Y now, in Europe anyway? Or it's being considered or something...?
I think vision should be enough for maneuvering in tight parking spots as FSD beta already works pretty well avoiding obstacles. But redundancy is still an issue…

They should have FSD trial for every new major release. Those who tried the beta and didnt like it wont pay full price...

I would NEVER PAY $12K for FSD here in Los Angeles only the Monthly Subscription if Tesla ever gets their ass in gear with completing the BETA software

I kept trying to wait for hw4 etc. but I’m too impatient, after test driving it 3 times I just want it now 😅 at least I know my next car in a few years will be an even better Tesla but for now I’ll be extremely happy with it I’m sure :) can’t wait to join the Tesla family, always wanted one!

But me on the other hand who’s never had a Tesla before… it’s just too long to wait when I’m all ready to join the family now, already been waiting months and I can’t do it any longer 😂 hopefully I won’t regret it! Things come out slower here in the UK as you know so hopefully that’ll buy me some time too! In the meantime I’ll keep watching your great informational vids bro! Thanks again!

How difficult is it to turn FSD beta from LHD to RHD markets ? What’s your opinion ?
It shouldn’t be too hard imo, it’s just about learning all the rules and regulations at this point. Once Tesla opts for steer by wire, it doesn’t matter where the wheel is located on the interior
John, can't get an answer.....I want to try FSD for a month if I pay the $200 will I be able to use it right away? 2nd question..... at the end of the month if I don't renew will the software go away or just stop working? Thanks John
It depends what build your on, but generally no, Tesla just updated another beta build that is behind current public firmware
I have a 2023 Tesla model Y i paid 200$ for a month but I was unable to use FSD but I was able to use the advance FSD.
The regular FSD is just Nav on autopilot really, and still running old code
We've got Waymo taxi still, though, and it performs better than FSD currently.

In Europe, the FSD makes no sense right now. The European regulation does not allow you to use the FSD Beta and you get nothing for acquiring the FSD. The smart summon is not allowed either. The European regulation is very protective and requires a lot of guarantees that such a technology is going to work without causing problems. I don't think the European Union would allow a beta version of such a technology to be used and I also doubt it would allow a non-European brand to market a full autonomous driving system before it is commercialized by European car manufacturers.

If we agree that FSD is a form of service like a taxi, 15k for unlimited taxi service for the life of the vehicle.....
Additionally, you can purchase it by subscription only. Buy it only when you thin you will need it most.
I love driving Tesla by myself. So why should I pay so much for fsd when I love driving by myself?!

I'll never get the FSD, max i'd pay for is 3-4k, EAP is also worthless besides the Auto Lange change. I love tesla but c'mon man.
In the future there will be cars capable of doing what tesla will achieve, for much much much cheaper. Hard coded or not. it will be possible.

15-20k is quite unhinged price. Same with 200$ a month. Even if it was fully working and for non functioning, it's very unhinged. I'd think they would need to get down to 49$ a month, then they might get many takers and even that would be overpriced. Let's say you have 10 million subs once it works, that's 500million dollars a month for essentially static software. Iirc there is already a 1500$ price built into the car for the hardware and that can probably pay for the full FSD hardware and sensors a couple of times over. I'm guessing the chips cost them less than 100$ a piece so 2 with a board might be 400$ pure cost. say 50$ per camera module eventually so ballpark 800$ for the system. I suspect Tesla can to a large extent moderate their perhaps extreme development costs by relying more on existing solutions instead of developing the DOJO chips and systems. I could be wrong on that but I suspect that nvda is pretty competent so tryng to outcompete them for your niche application might be unnecessary cost. I also have the impression that nvda now offers chips for car use that can match Tesla's chips on performance and power consumption so they could just have gone with oems. Of course they gain some capability but some things might just be redundant work. That in turn gives rise to thoughts like charge 15k for software. The price of a Nissan Versa with aircon. The take rate will presumably moderate the price to more reasonable levels but it might be hard for Tesla to walk those prices back. Tesla is a wild ride.
I lost 15k on my 3P because of recent price drops. Some lost more. Pretty great car but... :)
With Tesla you’ll never know what you’re going to get. They might just drop FSD to $5K tomorrow OR increase it by an additional $10K and I wouldn’t be surprised 🙂

If one has the ability to own a car that drives itself in almost all situations with limited driver input, it would be worth the $200 per month to extend one's independence compared with hailing Ubers every time you needed to go anywhere.
@williamrogers1219 Waymo does a similar thing for way cheaper, though. And Waymo's tech is way better

No it hasn’t. Show me one video of FSD beta running in Australia? I’ve been following the release of FSD closely and China will be the next country, then Europe. Australia is still not even close due to driving on the other side of the road.
Australian is even being shafted from owning the Model S and X now. So yeah we are all getting ripped off… and Australia is getting it all lol
