Welcome, welcome, welcome to the chapter 259 review, the chapter was as fire as usual and I think really every single part of it held strong with the pacing being so perfect that I genuinely believe we’ve gotten damn near 2 chapters in one, surviving Sukuna’s flames alone could have been it’s own chapter not gonna lie. I think Todo saying that his CT was DEAD to deceive Sukuna because Sukuna was in Yuji and even when Sukuna isn't in Yuji anymore he still kept secret about the plans
Yep and also chances are that he did not reveal much about his CT in first place due to sukuna. Another thing, the soul resonance of sukuna Yuji may just be a hunch and unless confirmed by the narrator, means little. But this all shows the 350,000 IQ moves by Todo

Its more likely that he thought that it was gone permanently but at a later date felt remnants of the technique within him still.
Or he was too weak to activate it back then and progressively got it back as he recovered.
That fight with mahito was a slaughter for both Todo and Yuji but Yuji has a special body Todo doesn't and took less damage overall.
Kamo could tell how badly Choso was demonstrating Convergence without even opening his eyes. o7 to a real one.
Norotoshi is a fucking coward and can be happy to be of use, just because it's hard for a BM Master like Choso to teach that, brcause he does it instinctively. Otherwise there wouldn't be any need for him. He's just jealous because Choso is the best BM User and even created his own technique

So this explains how Yuta can use cleave & dismantle inside his domain.. he must've picked it up from body swapping Yuji since copying CT usually takes Yuta much longer than 1 month, hence the "we cheated" part
Choso not leaving Yugi with a curse stands out to me the most. Smoove big bro move, not leaving him with a type of burden. RIP a real one
Choso’s death in a vacuum is well-written, but even as someone who loves Todo (and Choso), Todo showing up almost immediately after Choso leaves the story puts a bad taste in my mouth.
It kinda felt like Choso “needed” to die to give Todo a role in the story again. Todo got erased from the plot post-Shibuya, right around when Choso became Yuji’s brother figure. Todo didn’t even show up to help Yuki and Choso against a special grade sorcerer despite seemingly regaining access to Boogie Woogie. And the resonance explanation we were given to explain Yuji (and the reader) not knowing about Todo regaining Boogie Woogie only applies to Shinjuku Showdown, not his absence from the Culling Games.
All of this makes me think that Gege couldn’t figure out a way to write Yuji having two older brothers at the same time, especially after this chapter.
Todo probably didn't have his cursed technique back straight aeay. Considering Yuki and kenjaku was literally only around 10 days after Todo fought Mahito. He wouldn't have had the time to recover.
I think Gege was just mirroring Shibuya in this chapter and how Choso entered and became Yuji's person to lean on only once Todo was down for the count. This time it happened the opposite way.
It wasn't hard to write two big Bros..
But yuki fight happened immediately after Shibuya and todo wasn't with tengen.. meaning he didn't actually get boogie woogie back long after shibuya. When mei and todo were planning. Todo still wasn't sure but he said he started to feel the beat of boogie woogie again.
and todo couldn't come before sukuna hit the domain. Otherwise sukuna would take him out first. Since boogie woogie is pretty fckin annoying.
And choso couldn't leave the domain. Because sukuna's Target was Yuji that's why he kept Yuji in center. And choso wouldn't leave Yuji alone.
So, as shitty as it is.. bruuzaa and big bro were never going to fight alongside.
But I hope we get to see some blackflash bw them communicating.

I think OP has reader bias. Fact is Todo isn't out that long, in story time. He had to reverse the damage from Idle Transfiguration first. Or he just be a liability in Culling Game. Todo out of the story is actually beneficial though as a writing device in favor of the soccerers. Who knows what he did during those time. Also as Kenjaku died, we could get some story explanation through Todo... about souls. 1 last thing about a lot of readers disappointment of character interaction could be
regarded as an actual element in Jujutsu Kaisen. Remember that the world tries to balance between curses and soccerers. The appearance or lack of some character in certain arcs could be attributed to that, why didn't Yuta or Yuki especially appears earlier in the manga. It was because of "fate"/will of the world to balance both sides that is reflected by situation of the world. Maybe Kenjaku based his plan entirely from this knowledge and just put his gamble on the right time, which is how these tragedies can happen all while Gojo existed. Example being Yuta had to go to Africa to find cursed whip while Yuji met Megumi for the first time
I felt the same way on first read. Gege couldn't be bothered to write a chapter with Choso dealing with one of Todo's schzo episodes? That would have been gold!

We get to see their "fight" for the next 5 chapters and jjk becomes a shoujo romance manga from uraumes pov, by the time sukuna dies and the remaining sorcerers regroup hakari announces that the two are getting married
Let’s be real though. Naruto gave us constant flashbacks of what we’ve seen before and I happened numerous times. At least here the flashbacks aren’t repetitive

I don't get complaints about the flash backs. It would have been boring and sucked to have all these flashbacks in real time waiting for the fight and we would have loads of the what was going to happen revealed to us ahead of time

I prefer no flashbacks than to have additional 5 or more chapters due to them like in Naruto or One Piece. Those two love to literally dedicate chapters for them even in the middle of the fight, which destroys the flow of fights and just looks stupid

Sukunas CT is mostly depleted, a 2 on 1 fight, but he's stronger phisicaly than the brothers, todo's technique doesn't do damage and is probably Binding vowed, and yujis blood manipulation and shrine are pretty basic right at this point.

Sukuna legitimately said like a million chapters “none of you know what real jujutsu is”. The ONLY person on his level of comprehension, study and usage was Kenjaku. It stands to reason his ability to manipulate it through the enforcement of self limitation and his adaptability would come from that understanding. Thank you for not calling this ability “asspull”. Everyone calling him fraudulent because he used Megumi to beat Gojo, but now he shows that knowledge and it’s ass pull.
Tbh the only way I see the ending is Yuji fighting alongside Megumi. I don't know how but Megumi deserves this more than Yuta

Awesome chapter. People complain about the info dump but like you said people have been asking for this forever, and I think the actual fleshing out of the power system is one of the things that makes JJK stand out
I think Yuta + Nobara will a couple team fight. who stay in secret till the last minute. Yuta being in yuji's body will realize how much Nobara is capable of hitting the soul directly and possibly kept their side of battle plans separate like how Mei mei & Todo kept their secret.

Since reading JJK I’ve noticed Gege has always answered questions we’ve had from previous chapters. One question I’ve always had was what would happen if someone breaks their vow made on themselves at this point after ALL the binding vows Sukuna has made he’s forgotten at LEAST one and imagine the end of this fight is him just messing up and breaking a vow

i hope at some point we get a deeper look into all these binding vows sukuna made because i’m intrested to see what he’s giving up for making his domain, and now for the flames
Here's a quick rundown on all the info we know-
1. To kill gojo without having to do the handsign- he now must do the enmaten handsign and point at the target, also make few incantations to use that particular attack from now
2. For his incomplete domain- he can only use it for 99 seconds but in those 99 seconds it's as strong as a complete domain.
3. He also added a barrier so that nothing can escape this domain to make sure maki got hit (domains usually filter out people with heavenly restriction), the disadvantage here is obvious, barriers of domain are weak from outside making domain easy to break from outside.
4. He made a binding vow to extend the range of his flames- he must use cleave and dismantle before using the flames, he can't directly hit the flames. (This one hasn't been confirmed to be the requirement specifically for the range but it was mentioned as a binding vow so i assume it's for the range because that's the one we don't know about)

About the using cleave and dismantle before using the flames thing though, take that particular one with a grain of salt.
It's not confirmed but i assume that's the case cause he didn't use dismantle (only used cleave) against jogo and that's the one time it didn't blow up the whole area
(Cause if i remember correctly the range of explosion was a lot higher when he used it on mahoraga, and he did use cleave and dismantle both in that fight)

That the title is crazy but I can’t help but respect it
The thing about the first domain expansion IMO is that Gojo began to run away immediately: Aka, Even if Sukuna *could* charge up a fire arrow in time there, if he left melee combat then Gojo just leaves his domain and Sukuna can't actually hit him. He had to intercept Gojo immediately, and from there onwards was locked into fighting in close quarters.
Much like how it is with Gojo trying to land a hollow purple, it seems like he needs space to actually do the move or else there's no way it'd ever be charged/hit successfully.
Gojo would see the arrow, teleport over to Sukuna and knock him out lmfao
@@ShowtimeLaw He wouldn't have been able to teleport immediately given he was on domain burnout; But yes I do think he'd be fast enough to intercept Sukuna trying it as he was generally superior in H2H at that point, or at very least would be able to escape.

Either gojo was too fast for the technique or gojo constantly changing the properties of domain simply resets the process.
Either way we know the flame was too cold to take out gojo.
Plus I wasn't expecting gege to first make it look like sukuna was holding back and whatnot to still create the debates about sukuna vs gojo without mahoraga but now addition of Infos like binding vows and him being unable to use fuga and ururame mentioning that sukuna's c.e. output felt like max during gojo fight.
Maybe gege thought sukuna is too strong similar to gojo so he's nerfing him now to make yuji's victory against him more believable?
If Gojo leaves the range fast enough , yea ofc But knowing also , Sukuna he wouldn't let Gojo have the necessary time , he would also make a biding vow maybe to make changes to his domain and add a barrier or a rule to not let anything from outside and inside escape like he did recently .
How would maki be saved by, isn't his technique need the other person or object to have a cursed energy?

Fuck their battle. We already had Kenjaku and Takabas fight take up time. We good on the deviation stuff. Uramume is ice , Hakari is wolverine. Great nothing special here.
I think we will only see their final round, all things considered their fight is likely going to be pretty boring: Uraume freezes, Hakari heals, lands a hit, rinse, repeat.
Id like to see hakari vs sukuna tho even though it kind of seems like a stretch

@@robungle Yeah, those two are gone. Still, with Max Elephant's water attacks, Divine Dog's strength and claws, the rabbit's duplication and the Toads' uh... Well with the other three, you have quite a deadly combination.

Todo coming back increases the stocks for Nobara to also make an explosive entrance... especially to save Megumi.
I think the reason sukuna couldn't use the flames on gojo is because he couldn't really evolve it like his cleave to get past infinity. can't really force the fire to start in gojo, like the slash

Inside the domain Gojo's neutral doesn't work, plus the effect of the fire arrow would likely bypass it by the way it works. He couldn't use it because he kept adapting his domain to target UV's barrier.
@@ggwp638BC His neutral infinity does work, it just can't block sure hit effects of the domain. But if Gojo didn't cast his domain at all, and just use RCT to heal up sure hit of MS, then Fire Arrow wouldn't do anything, because Fire Arrow isn't the sure hit effect.
You guys are slow af. The chapter literally states that Sukuna could not use it because Gojo kept forcing him to change the domain properties. Also, for those who think he could use it after the first domain clash, no he couldn't, because Gojo would just speed blitz him while he charged it. The flame arrow is only fast outside of the domain. And for those who think he could make a binding vow to make it faster, well, Gojo could make a binding vow as well, and then the arguments would never end.

I hadn't thought about Ten Shadows, but I guess it is still an option. He still has the Divine Dog, Max Elephant, most of the rabbits, and the toads, so he could make something really effective there. That could be a horrifying mixture or really effective solo weapons, depending on how he uses them. I'm excited to see him break those out.
Rabbits are infinite, as long as the one with the mark on his belly is alive, the rabbits pop up endlessly

I mean, if he combined them all together, you'd have a being with the strength and speed of the combined Divine Dog, the water manipulation of Max Elephant, and the duplication of Rabbit Escape, as well as the added strength of the Toads and the Bull. That's not even including the fact that the other shikigami get stronger when one of the previous ones dies, and that should include Mahoraga and all the spirits that made up Akito. Idk if they'd get their powers or not, but even if they just get physical strength and speed off of them, that's going to be a massive boost to an already powerful combination.

Imo the Todo Yuji duo got the best fights of each arc and the fighting choreography of this arc are insane so I have HUGE expectations for this one

Not necessarily. If Maki got clapped we would definitely get some panels about that. More likely Miwa was just made aware of the plan (which explains how she just appeared in time to save Maki with that simple domain) and infused Maki with some CE. Maki's body has no CE of her own, but doesn't mean you can coat her on it, and Todo's CT can target anything coated in CE, even a rock Yuji threw.

From a writing perspective Todo coming back is weird, it felt like Gege woke up hating Choso so he just packed him up and reintroduced Todo randomly
Having a scene with him in the culling games where's he's just checking up with Yuji telling him about his condition, then another one pre-Gojo and Suckuna fight where he's contemplating wether to join the fight or not would've felt way more consistent personally
I just thought about this and I might just be thinking extra for no reason (I’m also high), but it feels like Gege is literally making us into sorcerers. Think about it, the biggest theme of JJK is the negative feelings that the sorcerers are forced to succumb to just to be able to use their technique, and with almost every chapter, it is like we are being put into that role as a sorcerer where we have to bear the sadness that will eventually come through with every event. Ppl complain about how ppl die so easily in jjk and obviously it’s on purpose but what if it’s just to give us that extra bit of immersion with what sorcerers have to go through everyday. That constant sadness that catches us with our favorite characters dying is exactly what the sorcerers go through. That empathy we feel gives the series so much more realism that we deadass feel like one of our own is dying
