I think blackflashes happen when a sorcerer needs to prove a concept to oneself, like when sukuna was in the zone while fighting maki to prove whether cursed energy usage is better than heavenly restriction. Likewise with mahito where he wanted to prove himself while fighting yuji

I guess Black Flash is based on a mental state more than timing. JJK never made a characther land one out of nothing.
1- Yuji landed Black Flashe when he first entered the zone against Hanami.
2- Nobara was excited when she landed against the cursed womb
3- Todou landed his first because he wanted to help Yuji, and Yuji started spamming against Mahito because of the hatred he felt and that he accepted that he was the predator
4- Mahito landed out of the excitement of killing Yuji and discovering the true form of his soul
5- Gojo landed several against Sukuna and Mahoraga when he became batshit crazy of excitement
6- Sukuna landed against Maki, because he truly wanted to prove that honing Jujutsu was superior to honing physical strength
Definitely right something about being in the mental state and being focused and everything else mentioned in this video
Yuji really earned his moniker of "Chosen by the Sparks of Black" this chapter. I think Choso set up some foreshadowing for Yuji to learn convergence and other blood manipulation techniques now that he's awakened.

He will awaken all the techniques of the Cursed Womb Paintings and have multiple arms and other limbs. If you notice the cursed wombs all have body parts Sukuna has. A Stomach mouth, a double face, and, Choso even has the same nose marking as Sukuna. I believe we will find out Sukuna is also a fused being and it’s why they now share the same eyes. idk how but I’m sure Yujis grandfather left Yuji a curse with his last wish for a good death and that will be a factor

@@michaelburnett197 Just like Gojo said he has a higher chance of doing a black flash but not a perfect one because he can focus on all the factors to do one more so than anyone can but no one fully can. I wonder if like Naruto using a clone to rotate his rasengans Yuji’s inner brothers will focus on all the elements of the black flash. We may even see Choso die and Yuji absorb him to reach the full power fused being that Kenjaku envisioned and Yuji may even be the one to “continue his will.”

Yuji, even if by accident, hitting black flashes because of divergent fist is such a cool idea
Yuji is trying to suppress the divergent fist, and because he wasn't perfect at that, he'd hit black flashes occasionally (and by instinct, controlling it better when he is in the zone, making him hit more frequently.)
Maybe his awakening could be related to that, he now understands how to use divergent fist to force black flashes out like crazy

I think theres more to yujis CT than just blood manipulation. Choso "handed him" something before he used piercing blood, similar to how higuruma "handed him" the executioners blade. Considering the situation, giving a random high five would be insane, so I think theres more to it.
I think its got more to do with yuji's mastery of the soul. Whqt if he is touching others soul taking a part of it to imbue himself with a CT.
It would also be a perfect mirror to mahito, who changed others soul by touching them. Yuji would do the opposite:change his own soul by touching others.

Theory sounds amazing but what you forgot is that Everytime Yuji hits Sukuna, it distorts his souls, will be hard to for him to be able to do that when he was constantly receiving hits from Yuji
When gojo said "when I'm really going for it, I incorporate my technique into my strikes, ultimately making it come down to luck, even for me." I think that might have been referring to him using infinity around his fist (like he did against hanami in shibuya to push them against the wall), rather than using blue. Since black flashes are supposedly a spatial manipulation, then using infinity would make it impossible for him to time it since it literally bends space around him.

I think Yuji will split Megumi and Sukhna, and Sukuna will then take over the Cursed Spirit merger, which would be the final arc of the series

I think sukuna wins and then Yuji takes over the merger. Yuji was designed for the merger, not Sukuna, that’s why he effortlessly dominated Sukuna’s soul within his body.
alot of people saying Yuji isnt using blood manipulation alot, but i do belive he is using it constantly since the beginning to improve his physical stats with that dopping effect, since thats probably the best use of blood manipulation for a raw strengh fighter like Yuji
I don’t think he is, using Flowing Red Scale causes a mark to appear on their body (Kamo’s eye, and Choso’s markings changing) so I don’t think he’s using it yet

Sukuna is looking more mundane with every chapter... they're really peeling off his scales.
Beating his own heart with CT can't be that easy. Looked easy when he was fighting potential man, but now he's swarmed by special grade sorcerers. Hell, if La Rue held his attention for long enough he could probably bleed out.
It's weird and fun how this fight is playing out. We're not getting the MC getting a power up and beating the bad guy, shounen-style. Everyone is getting their awakening and it's still a hard bout

I really hope that this fight isn’t just animated well, but also drawn well.
Sure the Sukuna vs Mahoraga fight was big and epic, but compared to Yuji vs Choso, it’s hard to tell what’s going on most of the time during Sukuna’s battle; so, I’d pick Yuji vs Choso due to the clarity and perspective angles presented in that fight that made it so visceral.

To me personaly this has felt very rewarding to read. There has been zero plot armor for our heroes in the fight against this over powered being. The tactics used are believable and so are the losses in its execution. No random bs power ups happened either. Truly a marvel of a fight.

Im starting to think that at this level maki is on par with sukuna in terms of raw strength...what makes the gap so wide is his experience and knowledge of how to use his own abilities while maki is still figuring out the fine details of her own body and how far her sword can go...i mean excluding choso who isn't human and yuji who is engineered to be tough she the only one still standing...but that's just me

I have a theory that there was a deal that happened between Sukuna and Kenjaku, which is like: For Sukuna's desire to turn into objects through time - in exchange Kenjaku asked for a copy of his soul. Sukuna then agreed but he might not of thought that you could do anything with the copy of a "cursed soul" as it is too "powerful" / "Dissonant / Unreplicatable" or HE WAS LIED TO ABOUT THE PROCESS OF IT WORKING by Kenjaku, and Kenjaku still agreed to turn him into the cursed objects... Yuji Itadori is the creation of Sukuna's copied soul and a normal human - a human born with Sukuna's imprinted soul (curse). The "Perfect Sorcerer". Not just the "Perfect curse / King of Curses" (Sukuna). As Sorcerer's and Curse's are parallel's, as to such same as this. Maybe that's why there are references to Yuji being from back then? Sukuna might not know what Kenjaku did with this copy, until now (Yuji). Yuji is the perfect Hybrid of a Curse and a Human. He is a natural CALAMITY. The Evolved Sorcerer. He is BOTH!
and what about a hit using reverse curse energy, would it be a White Flash?... oh wait

Mahito is a curse of humans so my headcanon for as to why he can use black flash is because he's closer to being human than traditional curses are (I also use this reasoning to explain why he bleeds red, unlike other curses)

not sure if anyone mentioned, but the reason Sukuna is posted up after slashing Maki is that he needs to use his hands at least to send/direct slashes (that's what I gathered from the explanation in 255). I think every time he uses cleave or dismantle after fighting Gojou he does some hand movement (like grabbing Yuji to cut his torso or sending a slash on Larue last chapter).
The black flash is probably tied to the soul. We are introduced to it by Todo who was trained by Yuki who was studying the nature of the soul. Mahito is the first curse we see use black flash and he is all about soul manipulation. Yuji uses black flash more than anyone and he has a unique understanding of the soul. The only thing that doesn't fit into this is that Nanami holds the record for consecutive black flashes but doesn't really have a tie to souls.

Gonna sum this up real quick:
Black Flash requires you to time it within one millionth of a second, nobody in the show can do this willingly because none of them have the required speed and reaction speed to do so, now say for example a speedster or an extreme Superhuman (not heavenly restriction, Im talking actually busted Superhumans with insane levels of superhuman power that can react at FTL levels and beyond.) was put into JJK and they could use Cursed Energy, due to their extreme reaction speed and speed far surpassing the requirement of reaction speed to land black flashes, they would be able to constantly land black flashes without any issue because of their insane speed and reaction speed.

Where do you get your translations? Honestly the official translations recently have been killing the chapter hype for me. They word things so weirdly. Is it just me? Maybe it’s because I look at leak reviews and it just seems that the translations for those are far better than the official. This chapter I had to reread like 3 panels because the wording was just…terrible. They really used the word “Who’re”. While it’s a legitimate contraction, NO ONE uses that, it’s just odd.
Besides that tho, the chapter was fucking fantastic as usual.
