@@Taqgy I understand that, I just did it this way to be more clear. In this particular comparison, the type of lube really makes a difference obviously, a bigger one in feel than sound but there is a slight difference anyway.
Differences in the position of the switches on the board, can dramatically change sound. Tests like these automatically disqualify the result, therefore this video should not be used as a reference.
Just get Super Lube Synthetic grease and Super Lube Synthetic oil. I mix my own lube the consistency I want for different applications like wire and springs etc. I have Krytox 205g0, G-lube and many other freebies collected over countless review units. It is the same as either of those if you want it to be. Keyboard lube is simple. It doesn't need to stand 10,000 degrees or freezing temperatures. It only needs to lube at a consistency for a particular application.
so its not because they give bigger youtubers free lube & a bag for them to promote it while it also being an older product? in all seriousness its a known fact g lube & basically every "brand" of 205 is similar according to glorious & reddit & personal use , if he wouldve tried both on the same key it wouldve had a more similar sound as well
@@coolieee Dont realy get your point. If he using it on same type of switch with same keycap brand in same row it is basicly same key except the letter on keycap which change completly nothing to test and sound itself. And while all those other brands are as you said simillair they are not the same, for example when I had problem to get my hands on 205g0 I was using first some generic PTFE grease and PTFE oil for springs, than i was using G-lube becouse it was avilable and finnaly Krytox becouse it showed up in Amazon.pl. And while the Krytox is best of them the diference between it and that generic PTFE is not so big. So if you are on budget and you just want to lube switches to remove scratching you can buy basicly any PTFE grease that will cost for 0,5kg same money as Krytox for 5g. But if you want realy top notch quality and sound go for Krytox.
The most straight to the point channel ever. Earned a sub (not ironic)
Have done this too. 205g0 always mute the sound and glube dont. It depends on what your looking for.
i woudl say 205g0 is deeper, but g lube would be a good option for buget
Ngl they sound the same
@@chubeviewer Ehh, not really. They are pretty close, but the 205g0 sounds SLIGHTLY deeper.
@@Shey_08 deeper and clener i think
It's a difference in application.
What lubing method did you follow?
Why is this in my recommendations, I don't even own a keyboard
this is like comparing brands of water, its literally water
no bro i dont like the g lube sound the other one sounds better
I stand corrected, I guess water doesn’t have ingredients, but oil does, sorry about that
Sound about the same to me
They are close enough, but the mic can't pick up all the differences.
@@somukeebs different keys have different sounds

205 cleaner
The left one sounds a little bit more high pitched, while the other sounds like low pitched.

I don't hear as much of the spring ping on the switch with 205g0
It is overall slightly better in all aspects, but g lube is still ok if someone can't get anything else
I agree, 205g0 sounds cleaner.
keyboard name? and switches keycaps plz

This stuff is hard to find here so I have to order it online, and shipping is expensive to my country unfortunately
205G0 is more deeper
"more deeper"
@@uviolin593 bro this was 6 months ago smh
i recently ordered the micscrew lube, is it good?
It is very good, my favorite actually.
so 205 is more quiet glube is more light and thocky
there is clearly a reason the entirety of the community uses 205g0 and this proves it lol

Right best
205g0 i would pick
Give me
Nah gpl better
The 205g0 isn’t kryptox, it’s a budget lube
I never said it was Krytox as "krytox" is simply the brand, there are many alternatives online and most of them are close enough to the real thing
G lube is a bit click type while 205g is a bit clackier
what tf does that even mean bro
Yeah you dont know what your talking about lol
