Those wanting to carry a large motorbike - or two - in a small RV might want to look at this idea.. The Weinsburg Outlaw Carabus does not have much room in the habitation area and even less for sleeping but has a stack of space in the garage making it suitable for a couple of large motorbikes or similar equipment. Have a look at the video! - Авто та транспорт
Tnx for doing these motorcycle friendly motor homes and camper vans.
This is ideal as a track day or race weekend van for bike sports. I do many enduro/motocross race weekends through the year using a similar conversion on transit custom L2 H2 van which is adequate.
This van adds more luxury to the weekend and overnights. If the garage space truly does seal out petrol fumes, that will be the biggest bonus over similar offerings from the likes of Adria.
I would fit out the rear specifically for the kit I carry and buy the 4000kg not the 3500kg as you can go overweight with a 3500kg chassis quickly with van spec, bikes and kit.
I was looking at the Adria Supreme Twin SGX with the raise and lower bed but this outlaw is better as it seals off the dirty end, and it will get dirty with muddy bikes....
The load height for MX bikes is good in the Outlaw while retaining a good fixed bed space.
The shower/toilet area is okay in the Outlaw for a race weekend but the Adria SGX is superior here.
I would use a better bike transport restraint system rater than the faffy rails and straps. A KTM 350 sxf will fit snuggly on the right with the doors closed but on the left it will have to the handlebars turned in as it's too short a load length.
Nice review but a bit pessimistic unless you know who the vans aimed at and its not a two week away or touring couple.... I agree there...
Have fun..Ed.
Simply wow! I like the bed with limited room. The white light would be a problem for people like me, bright lights are very unkomfortable. But the bed is great idea.
Great for a starter in RV life. #1 Head Bonker for couples,,lol...#2. Luv the exterior color and sleeping arrangements are much better. #3. Same. #4. Better. #5. Okay
Plenty of bed to be getting on with, with absolutely plenty of window space that would make it feel far less claustrophobic than many with a higher ceiling. 😂😁😀😃
Now, we just need the opressor mk2 AND sise entrance
For a motorcyclist I imagine that would be a really good layout. I think a popup roof above the bed might solve the claustrophobia problem. It would cost more to implement of course.
I am doing this in a Ford Transit box van as it has much higher room under the roof of 213cm and it is also a lot wider 205cm wide on the inside..
Thank you.. first CLASS B toy hauler ever seen that could actually work OK
Most viable mid size van so far.
Top! 😍
Hi Alan. I am considering buying a 2018 Weinsberg 601DQ ex rental this weekend. It sounds like you have some reservations with knaus/weinsberg? Anything you should I should be aware of? Thanks & keep up the good work 👍🏼 Mark
I have reservations as to their financial viability - if there are no guarantees involved then I suppose you will be OK.
Can you recommend an alternative to the Weinsburg Outlaw Carabus 650MEG, because I'm ready to buy it with my S1000RR in the back and live in there for a year and I can't find a good alternative.
Looking for the same thing ... Any luck Annie? :)
If a motorbike stand at 57" high on sidestand how headroom would that allow for
What type of vans would still have enough headroom with a high bed over garage area?
I don't know - maybe you need to get one made to order.
Hi Alan how are you?Alan do you know this place? the name Schachtholm. I saw on video that there is a channel where the ships pass and there are parks for wohnmobil.
I have never heard of it Raquel!
You said the negatives outweigh the positives but then didn't say what the negatives are apart from the company has gone bust before. What are the problems with this van?
Really cool but seems like it would suck functionally.. hard to load and sleep in a coffin….
I think I would find it off putting too!

Good video Alan thx! Just a suggestion: change the title and you'll get probably more views 😉 (replace "Weinsburg" by "Weinsberg")
I missed that Mike thanks!
Mike?
@@dougieranger Mike is fine 😉
Mat Adrien Lol, glad to hear that. Tell him I’m asking for him. 😀
@@matad4002 Sorry, Mat!
Wouldn't a crash helmet be claustrophobic loooooooool
Where is your location
Right now?
Garage is to big , you could utilise the space a lot better by having a murphy bed etc
It's bike specific but you don't need to have the metal plate and middle rail and could use it as something else but not beds, it's airtight from the main area unless you leave the door open or put in vents which defeats the objective of this van.
It's my plan to build one so I can get a motorbike in the back and bloody big one !! Or do I use a trailer , decisions decisions planning is the best part
For this caravan u will give bike free
This design is terrible IMO. That bed with two people in it would be difficult to get out of, and the ladder blocking the bathroom is just plain stupid.
I ride a motorbike so am looking for a van with space for a bike, but the dropdown beds are so much more practical than this abomination :)
Thanks for the review though Alan, one less model to bother look at :)
Don't u need gas air tight chamber for ur motorbike? The drop down bed don't offer that.
@@vijayjayakumar6664 Not sure what a' gas tight chamber' is. Most toy haulers have the bikes in with the beds, this is no unusual.
After looking around at options, I'm starting to think that the bike would be better on a rack on the back of the van.
If YOU are claustrobhobic....keep it to yourself.......!!!!!!
They went on strike the day I had to get to the airport and all that was open was the Elizabeth Line from Paddington to the east. This was all I wanted so I got to the airport three hours early!
