This mod looks like how I remember it from when I first bought it.
Coming from the other gta games we grew up with, it definitely was something new & felt realistic & still does to a degree :)

The game does look very good and everything worked perfectly (Apart from the 2GB VRAM bug reappearing which is irrelevant) but it does look oddly dark in certain areas. It feels as if it's missing a great level of brightness/light. It might just be my own settings though so I must ask, does anyone else see this? Nevertheless you deserve my like!
the actual starter level for remastering 4's graphics is to use fusion fix which by now includes restoring some lost things and even FIXING the nigh shadows where no longer do you have to fear performance loss
Unfortunately, FusionFix needs GTA4 v1.2.0.30 or above.
So to use it with this ENB is impossible.

With fusionfix you can't change cars it sucks

The fact that this game is still going well in 2024 I'm glad Is it we need to show this game more love before gta 6 comes out hope they remastered the game but probably not since there mistake with gta remastereds.

Okay, here's something extra from my side which I want to personally share with few people commenting on same issue I had.
I just downloaded and mod the game as the video tried to show today.

Firstly, I have Steam version of GTA-IV (complete Edition) and I have an AMD setup.
Secondly, I encountered the same problem as many comments mentioned, "After downgrade the game ran fine, but as soon the first mod was installed the game was stuck in black screen / or was not loading". It also didn't let me shut down my pc.
I went along with the full installation process regardless and,
Finally there is a folder named "troubleshooting and Support " folder in 'ICEnhancer' where I copy pasted the 'FIX' files (AMD GPU FIX) to my main folder(GTA-IV Directory).
I did not try the "Game doesn't launch" fix folder, but on reading the 'readme' I found it contains a fix for NVIDIA users.
And after the whole ordeal, the game worked perfectly.

An addition for people commenting about the weapons mod, for which there is no detailed video, it is simple:
- Download the file
- Extract the compressed file
- Open read-me text
- Copy paste the files in the folder location where it is mentioned.
(P.S.: In case the folder mentions the location which sounds like inside the image file and no way of accessing it, don't worry, just copy the proper files which are mentioned in the same folder).

Quick review: The game runs smooth and fine and it has a tiny issue of texture flicker for distant objects (buildings/structures) which are a bit hard to notice. And a bit too noticeable in areas like the open fire station. (Cuz I guess that area is modded).

Edit: One more issue I noted is the cop siren wont flash when pressing the button. This is mostly due to the downgrade thing. (It will cause problems with one of the missions later on)
Fix: Go to GTA-IV directory;
-search for "ZolikaPatch.ini"
-set "CopSirensFlag=0"
-That should fix he problem.
(zoika Patch ini file aims to fix many small glitches and errors so if you encounter any problem, that file might be able to help).

When i try to launch the game and the loading screen starts i get this error "The connection to Games for windows - LIVE has been lost. Returning to single player." And it continues after perssing ENTER thats says "OK"
this doesn't work at all. followed the steps to the T and all i get is a black screen which i then have to restart my PC because it doesn't allow me to exit the black screen..
here's a note to read... patch 1.0.4.0 only has GTA IV itself (no dlcs were brought to the public yet) but yet somehow the graphics are easier to mod... so this remastering doesn't allow for you to play TLAD or TBOGT in the same way
I haven't actually tried TLAD and TBOGT with these mods just yet to see if it's possible or playable.

I'm guessing this isn't possible with the rockstar launcher version? The steam version is no longer there.
The whole weapon mod install section was skipped. The files in the download seem to require OpenIV. Just wanted to make sure that was the intention and I can move forward with the OpenIV setup and install of the weapon mod.
no need of OpenIV setup, just copy paste the files according to readme folder. That worked for me.
you kinda skipped over how to install the weapon mod lol i've got it downloaded but dont know where to put it, the rest of the mods worked perfectly!
AFTER THE DOWNGRADE, The game could not launch. It basically crashed everytime.

HELP PLEASE. So I've done all this. It works great, but I'm only able to play the base game after downgrading? I have the complete edition so this means I can't play TBOGT or TLAD with these mods?
I'm new to modding and i don't fully understand and quite possibly need a full video to explain from installing the game, to installing the downgrade, seeing each step for what it is and what to do. if that makes sense!
everything works perfect except alot of the missions are bugged or not playable at all. Specifically the mission "logging on", I am not able to acces the computer at the internet cafe. Also the mission "do you have protection", I am not able to enter the gun store. The only way I found to fix this, is to download save files to skip the missions.

Hey, I just followed the video, and this is not exactly the problem I faced... But i would highly recommend you to check the "troubleshooting and Support mod" folder and see if it works out.
Couldn't have told people that your saves wont be available after downgrading before the tutorial?

I would absolutely take improved graphic over the dark vibe any day, I usually play Gay Tony anyway which is the least dark version of gta 4

Yall my game keeps crashing. It crashes at random times, whether I'm just launching the game or driving around it just crashes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did everything exactly like he does in the video.

Try to set CopSirensFlag=0 in ZolikaPatch.ini. I made it and sirens now works in my game

Once I clicked on Downgrade, i got prompted with a task to like one of your videos, then asked me to download so sort of web browser.. im sure if i would have kept going it would have asked me to download other games.. did anyone else run into this?
I did everything but the Independence FM radio isn’t working with the song I put and I don’t know how to fix this problem
the immersive ny mod breaks the sirens on PD cars.
go in the gta4 folder and look for the ZolikaPatch file (last one in the folder for me). Open it and look for "CopSirensFlag=1" and change it to "CopSirensFlag=0". Save the File, restart the game and it should work now.
Try to set CopSirensFlag=0 in ZolikaPatch.ini. I made it and sirens now works in my game

Unfortunately this seems to have problems with car packs. The textures of all the houses don´t load in properly once a car pack is installed. That just sucks. Do anyone else seem to have the same issues?

There's this issue i faced...everything works just fine, i did everything in order, and the game, the mod is all good...but right after i finished a particular mission, everything around me somehow disappear and loads quite a while...is there anything i can do to fix that?
Having the same issue.. the whole world disappears at some point and all i see are floating cars in the distance
Video is great and the explanation is brilliant but this has broken my game, i have had to re install 6gb of files because of the downgrading and im struggling to fix the rest of the issues.

Sadly not. You do have to downgrade for any graphical mode

lipstick on a pig. Good lipstick but the pig is showing its age. It looks like a bunch of mix mash textures giving the end result of a sort of quilt of HD textures, 2008 assets and graphics, old cars mixed with HD cars. The 1:22 shows exactly the difference and why the old works - it is COHESIVE. It blends together. Look at the fog and lighting on the old vid is looks way better than the crisp ultra sharp new version.
A quick question guys, is this mod going to break the story, because I wanna play the story with this graphics.

No, i don't think so but you can add realistic vehicles and graphics using openiv.

@@PrototypeFreak89 tbh mate I’ve got no clue about pcs or graphics cards or anything I need to research it just want something that can run games with mods that I can hook up to my tv and use a controller with but I’ve heard that even good pcs struggle with gta 4
@@hezhez97 You have to change a few things in the config files, i'm pretty sure there are guides on how to do it on this channel. But once you have done that it doesn't run too bad, But iv always had problems getting gta4 mods to work long term. And gta 5 is easy to mod, but every time they bring out a new update out for it, it breaks all the mods and you have to wait for another patch to come out.
If you enjoy the racing and driving side of the game, look in to 'assetto corsa' I have a better time with the mods on that game. But if you have no experience, its all going to be pretty confusing. I would just learn about PC's first. Its pretty easy to build your own these days for a good price. lots of guides online. I would just work out your budget and then search for a video like "best $500 pc" and watch a few of those videos. Make sure they are from the last few months though, as older videos will be out of date.

Does not work on GTA4 the complete edition in steam. The PlayGTAIV.exe starts but gets killed after a short black screen.
