You might want to include that garlic can help repel fleas and ticks. Combined with brewer's yeast, it's a one-two punch to fleas and ticks. But it also helps to reduce fungal infections (including yeast) and mites.
It's pretty comical that Purina would say garlic is bad but yet it's OK to feed their literal garbage food to your dog. Great video btw. Wish it went on for a little longer 😊
Before commercial dogfood was a thing, my grandmother always gave her dogs garlic with their homemade food. They lived long, healthy lives!. BTW, love your book, Dr. Becker!
Thank you for the clarification! This explains why I see some of these foods as ingredients in dog food while also thinking "Wait, didn't I read somewhere that this is toxic?!" 🙏
Hey guys, I was hoping you had a recipe for homemade cat food. I’m going to follow your dog food guide for my dogs but was also hoping to make food for my kitty as I’m a happy owner of 1 kitty, 2 beautiful cavaliers & 1 very chatty eclectus parrot. Hope you could share anything on this. 😊
Do you have a balanced lamb recipe? My chihuahuas love your beef recipe, but I'd like to change things up, and Poultry isn't an option due to allergies. Thanks for all you do ❤
I have a very important question! If you Google this. All of these sites that you mentioned will scare the crap out of you about your dogs eating onions. I'm sure they probably are toxic but not in the amounts that they refer to and was hoping you could educate us on it?
Thank you for the scientific information presented in a fun and friendly way. I cook for my dog and always want to know what's best for her. The Avocado eggs look delicious!
Thanks!! My dog is allergic to all animal proteins . All meats , milk and even eggs. She is not crazy about the vets hydrolysed food. Very costly . She waits to be starved then eats too fast, then often regurgitates. 😢 she is only 2. How can I figure out an alternative vegetarian diet which will meet her nutritional needs?
Pre ordered your new book! I can’t wait for it! So i can make their raw food diet even better. I didn’t know about the mushrooms and Shitake are my favorite so i can share it with Parkley and Rienna our border collies.
Love this ❤ and thank you for doing all this work to advocate for pets AND their families. I feed all these to our dog and more but I was told that mushrooms should be cooked 🤷🏻♀️. Is that true? Also I saw someone else mention that chocolate should be #4 on your avoid list. I never feed chocolate as I have been told it’s toxic. Is that true?
I'm on fb group of a lady that takes in sick animals and brings them back to health by putting them on a fruit diet initially and she says all the dogs she has worked with over the years are fine with grapes.
Grape seeds are the problem. I was shocked not to see anything said about apple seeds?? I use to buy 10lb bags apples to share with our dogs back in the day. I never removed the seeds but have seen that the seeds have arsenic in them and nobody should eat them.
This is amazing. I feed my dogs “human” food. In the end it’s actually cheaper and I know exactly what they’re eating. Does anyone have the links to the studies?
Walnut update. Black walnuts have a green outer shell that wrinkles and shrinks and turns black. The actual nut shell is a hardwood....very hard. The shell is coated with what you would use for walnut stain. That sticky black stuff stains EVERYTHING. When that "stuff" goes away you only have the outer shell to deal with. To get to the meat of the walnut you have to use a hammer. When you held up an example of a black walnut you actually showed an English walnut that you get around the Christmas holidays mixed in with a variety of nuts. There is a real difference in a black walnut and an English walnut. English walnuts in my opinion have very little taste where the Black Walnut is VERY tasty. Growing up we had 2 giant Black Walnut trees and it was my job to pick them up and throw them around the trunk of the tree. My mom would come down with a bushel basket and gather them and put them in our gravel driveway for the cars to run over them to get that green/black outer shell off. Then she would take the actual nut and put them somewhere where we would break them open (with a hammer) and use a special pick to get the meat out and she would add that in with her Christmas cookies. You had to be careful NOT to get any of that hard shell mixed in with the actual nut meat. I have a Black Walnut tree in my yard now. The squirrels get them before I do, however each year the tree gets bigger and produces more and more nuts. So I am able to actually get a few before the squirrels do. Now you know why they are more expensive than the other nuts. The tree itself is where you get the lumber and believe me when I tell you these trees get HUGE ! Loggers pay a LOT just for the wood..
They are super messy. And stink like fresh tar if you ask me! We had one in our backyard well it ain't in our yard but was next door but the branches was over our yard and was a stinking mess. But you are right on what they showed. Thank you!
When I was growing up my family had a dog that lived to be 20 years old and all he was eating was table food. He was deaf and blind his face was all white. He died from old age not cancer or any other ailment that dogs die nowadays!

Yup pretty ironic

An important caveat in regard to Coconut Oil is that needs to be UN REFINED …..you did mention “Virgin “ but it should be stressed🧐
Shouldn't chocolate be on the don't list?
What about grapes? Choking hazard yes, but are they poisonous?
The seeds are.
Love you guys ! You have enlightened me soooo much and therefore enhanced the life of my 4 rescue pups !!!❤

I LOVE your videos! They could be longer if you asked me!
Thank you for all of your information!

Yes it's dark chocolate or in the raw coco powder or as a raw bean is the dark chocolate. For me it's just best to not feed any of it. Why risk it?
Fb turned me on to yr channel . Ty fb and Ty to the producers of this program.
Thank you always.
I'm on fb group of a lady that takes in sick animals and brings them back to health by putting them on a fruit diet initially and she says all the dogs she has worked with over the years are fine with grapes.
My dog with cushings eats mostly fruit including grapes but mostly bananas for 4 years. He also has beef, eggs, sardines and chicken.

@@juliethomas6592 Idk maybe check out her site. Most grapes are seedless.

I can’t find the Food Adulteration video you mentioned. Help please?😊
The video for that is on FB on Rodney's page. Posted on Feb 11th
@@shanaa6791Thank you so much!!😊
Disgusting how things work in the dog food industry.
You’re best ❤
Chocolate should be added as number 4
Dark chocolate
Hey, guys! I tried to preorder your new book. Got a statement that it could not be delivered to my address in Pennsylvania, USA. IS THAT TRUE.
What website were you trying to order it on?
Do u have a kidney recipe??? Help
I make my dogs food ever since Purina made them so sick i almost lost them.
I brush my dogs teeth with coconut oil and it makes their gums and teeth healthy and strong.
Chaga are being over harvested.
The nut you showed looked like an English walnut, not a black walnut.
5 minutes wouldn't be enough anyway. Do 30 minute episodes.
Grapes are not toxic
Very high in sugar to be fair
