Hey, it’s Andy! In this video, I sit down with Giacomo Turra to get an up-close look at his brand new D’Angelico signature guitar. We dive deep into why this guitar stands out, from its semi-hollow, ergonomic design that makes it incredibly resonant-even when unplugged-to the first-time release of its Supro pickups, which deliver a warm, crisp tone perfect for funk and groove-based playing. Giacomo shares insights on how his playing evolved, focusing on percussive, bass-influenced techniques during lockdown, and he gives us a tour of the guitar’s unique features, like the Peppermint finish, a modern twist on the classic surf green that changes color depending on the light. Whether you’re a fan of clean tones or more driven sounds, this guitar is designed to handle it all without feedback, thanks to the Wilkinson tremolo system. Giacomo also reveals his favorite gear hacks, like using the trem without the bar for more dynamic, rhythmic playing.

Hey Andy, you are enjoyable. Your guitar chops are cool too! If there were more people that were into the subject, you would have a lot of subscribers. Guy I used to work with is doing a missing persons investigation channel and he got like 200k and climbing. Just realized I never subscribed to you

      Andrew,
What is this young man’s first language?
EDIT: I just got to the part where he said that he was from Italy 🇮🇹.
