Being Canadian, the Canada pavilion was our first stop in EPCOT. It's a cute little pastiche of Victoria, British Columbia... The hotel may be directly inspired by the Chateau Laurier, but it recalls lots of hotels built in that Gothic Revival style across the country, including the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec, Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg, Bessborough Hotel in Saskatoon, and Empress Hotel in Victoria. Then with the gardens (it's actually buh-chart, not boo-chart ;) ) and Pacific Coast indigenous art and totem poles, it's very much like Victoria. Those mountains are something else though... They don't look like any mountains anywhere in Canada, least of all the Rockies. The Oh Canada show was alright... The best part was identifying who was Canadian by who was laughing at the in-jokes. We're from Calgary and the people standing next to us ended being from Newfoundland :)
+CoryTheRaven That’s awesome! I really love the Gothic Revival style present in many Canadian cities as well. I didn’t know there were “in-jokes!” That’s really cool! Can you give an example?
as a fellow calgarian i agree with most of this! The hotel also reminds me of the banff springs hotel! I don't think the "mountains" look like the rockies, but i DEFINITELY feel as though they remind me of the badlands around drumheller!! similar rock colour and formation of the hills out there!
This is my favorite Epcot country because of the architecture, gardens and the restaurant. The Brown Derby is my second favorite restaurant. Thank You for another Great Video! Just Gorgeous!
The Canada pavilion is the best country in world showcase, not just because of the beauty but also because it is the least crowded country, great vid 👍
WOW!!!!!! The clarity is beyond what I think we'd see with the human eye...OMG! I'm an Android guy but this iPhone camera is SICK! Plus the area itself is beautiful. Great job!
Nice work, Josh! Your camera really captures all the beauty! I love those gardens and the waterfall! I have relatives up in Canada so they get to enjoy the real beauty of it all! Thanks for another great tour!
Thanks, Renee! I'm really impressed with the new camera as well! Do you ever get to visit your relatives up in Canada? I've only been there twice, but I loved it!
ResortTV1 You're welcome, Josh! No, but I wish I could! Canada is beautiful! But it's just so expensive to travel there! So they try to come down here at least once or twice a year. I hope to be able to visit it someday! That's awesome that you got to visit it! Two of my favorite shows are filmed up there!
I'm also Canadian, and the "Canadian National Hotels" emblem on the side of the Hotel means it's a member of a chain of hotels that were built along the Canadian National Railway between 1923 and 1988.
Beautiful video! I've never heard "mercantile" with the last syllable pronounced to rhyme with "teel", we usually say it like "-tile", like floor tile. The Dare brand Maple Leaf Cream cookies in there are very yummy, you should try them some time. Regarding the waterfall and river there are some beautiful sandstone formations in BC and Alberta but seeing it I first thought of the SW United States. If I could re-do it I'd paint the rocky faces grey like granite, maybe make them more angular and decorate with some moss and lichen, then stick a few more fir trees somewhere in there and you'd have a more creditable looking glacier-fed river in the Canadian Rockies.
I really love the videos of the different nation pavilions at Epcot you guys are doing. Epcot is my wife's and my favorite park anywhere, especially World Showcase. It would also be cool if you could do restaurant reviews of the restaurants to each pavilion when featuring a nation. Would love to see a video of our favorite pavilion; Morocco. Thanks guys!
+yesorlando05 Morocco is next for this weekend! 😀👍. We would love to do restaurant reviews as well, but the only issue is that it adds to our cost a bit... 😀. Trying to save money right now. 👍
Wow. That 4K at 60fps really makes every tree branch, blade of grass, flower, and even the paint blemish on the totem poles stand out! Fantastic job, as usual! I wish this pavilion had a ride...not a big fan of the Martin Short version of O' Canada.
Loved the 4K clarity on my 65" LG, but really missed the Smoov. I just watched Blog Mickey's 4K walk through Avatar. Amazing video to watch. Great job Josh.
+Michael Williams Yes! I need to use the SMOVE too. I was trying to see if I could use the image stabilization on the phone itself, but I think the combo of that and the Smove would be even better.
Im from Canada. I visited the Canadian pavilion in 2004, and thought it was really good except for the movie they played explaining Canada. It looked like a film shot by the Canadian government that was made in the 1970s.
Thanks much Josh for another great video. Curious if you have ever shot footage while walking the sidewalk in front of the Magic Kingdom. If not, would you and/or Jenna consider doing so either via recorded content or during a live stream? Appreciate your time in advance.
+Sean Bates Sean, we’ve walked around there for a bit, but we haven’t ever done a detailed video on that area. It’s been in a few live streams as well. I’ll be back with a link to one of the videos that shows at least a bit of it.
While you captured some great images of this pavilion on 4k, your audio voice over layer could have used a condenser microphone to eliminate the static noise. the static noise is very noticeable when you turn your voice over on and off. But when you left the ambient noise of the water falling, it helped to mask the static noise. Overall, a great video
Thanks! I have improved my setup tremendously since this video. This was made with an iPhone and then narrated later on Adobe Premiere Elements. I now have a much better mic to do narration on the spot, and I’ll be getting a better mic to do narration in post production.
That's so nice I was never at the canada pavillin of Epcot but I was at the real Canada before. Ps my video I'm trying to get it posted this week but my teacher is still grading them so I don't know if I will get it this week. He sent it to me but it did not go through so hopefully I get it soon.

ResortTV1 I can't remember any specific ones offhand, but a lot of them were playing up to stereotypes 😊

Very underrated pavilion! So beautiful!
+Theme Park Brews It really is! Thanks!

The choices you're making on delving into specific areas of Disney World are incredible, thanks Josh!
+Sam Phappalapa Thanks, Sam!
Love this video! The 4K 60FPS really makes it pop. Thanks!
+ceustis2004 Thanks! The new phone does a great job!
Thanks for taking time to do this !! Haven’t been since I was a kid in 1997. My memory is fuzzy! I’m sure there have been lots of changes since then!
I have eaten in the restaurant at least 6 times. One of the best restaurants in Epcot.
+Dick Krug It absolutely is. Great food and atmosphere.
Amazing video, thank you very much!
Josh the vid looks amazing on my TV!!!!!! I heart your 4K vid! Feels like we were back at Epcot!
+mixinggrad07 Thank you! 😀👍

+Reinaldo Colón It really does. It’s very classy.

+David Guzewich Thanks, David!
Hello Josh I love the Canada Pavilion so thanks for uploading this
+Hannah Vance 😀😀

As a Pro Wrestling fan, Canada is the home of some of the best wrestlers of all time!
