츄츄님 허벅지 위에 차려진 푸짐한 음식을 먹으면서도 바람소리 한번에 일시정지되어 경계태세에 들어가는 모습을 보니
다람쥐의 세상은 얼마나 살벌한가 싶습니다.
우리 눈에는 너무나 여유있고 평화롭고 아름다운 풍경이잖아요.
생각해보면 우리 이전 세대들도 지금 다람쥐처럼 모든 일상에서 항상 경계모드를 발동하며 살던 시기였겠죠?
그리고 우리세대에서도 지역에따라 여전히 바람소리에 귀가 쫑긋하고 가슴이 철렁한 사람들도 많을거에요.
이렇게 호숫가에서 여유를 챙기며 다람쥐에게 밥을 주고
방안에 앉아서 커피 한잔과 약간의 여유를 츄츄님과 다람쥐 보면서 감정의 풍요를 느끼는 이런 사치에 가까운 일상을 보낼수 있다는게
얼마나 큰 축복인지 모르겠습니다.
아버지는 병들어 걷지도 못하시면서 밭에 나가서 일을 하고
엄마는 젊었을적 그 부지런함을 어느 세월에 다 잃어버리고 치매에 걸려 방안에 꼼짝도 않고 오고 가는 사람 의심하고 울고 웃기만 하고 있지만
그분들이 일궈놓은 우리 세상에서 이렇게 나는 사치를 부리며 살고 있네요.
엄마 아부지가 하루라도 더 오래 사셨으면 좋겠습니다.
그리고 경계모드 없는 이 평화가 영원했으면 좋겠습니다.

I believe I remember when you first met Terry. I am getting confused now (HaHa) But, he was a little guy-I think. And it was in the spring? I don't know, but when he PP'd on you I laughed out loud. That little stinker. Nothing personal, I'm sure. He didn't want to miss out on any more goodies so he just had a little accident. Good thing they don't pee more than that. So nice to hear the lake. What a beautiful setting ! I rescued and rehabbed a baby chipmunk many years ago- they are such sweet little critters.
