I love this vlog! It was fun to see how you used library books and the tarot cards in Shorty September. I do not miss those teenager conversations! 😂😊

Watching your videos helps me feel grounded and at peace. I love how you are just yourself and so relatable. Thank you for sharing. I'm in a huge reading slump at the minute. Hunting that one book to get me out of it out of my 800+ books. There must be one!! 😂❤

I think the constant gardener is le Carre’s best one. And yes, the whole prompt situation is hilarious

I am with you I don’t really do short books but I did buy a Claire Keegan book but can’t remember the title but have see a lot of people talking about her books and it is a short book ……. And I highly recommend Daisy darker by Alice feeney which is meant to be a tribute to Agatha Christie’s And then there were none … I love the sunsets at your place just love seeing them 🍁🧡🍂📖💕

An interesting and unusual break-up book is The Black Dress. I loved George Smiley in LeCarre's various books and his other novels as well, bought a first of Smiley's People on a trip to London, still in mourning for LeCarre. Read the Thirty-Nine Steps by John Buchan and The Eye of the Needle by Follett. Of Mice and Men is a great and haunting read. I too cheated and have already 30% of October read, Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix, about a haunted IKEA type store.

I’ve never read LeCarre I did see some in my library so may try it. I liked the film Tinker, Taylor, soldier spy which was one of his books 📚

The two Le Carre novels that I really loved: The Night Manager and The Drummer Girl. Both are very literary in style and not part of the Smiley series. There is a really good spy series written by Mick Herron. The first book in the series is Slow Horses. It is better to read them in order.

Thank you for these recommendations. I would love to read a more literary style spy novel. They are all on the list!
