Thanks for keeping it real. What I have learned in the last 4 years in a similar situation as you both that it’s ok to get bored and change paths. At first it felt like failure but then I see you both on the same journey and it normalized changing “jobs ”. At the end of the day we have to do what is best for ourselves at any moments time. Life is a journey.

My wife and I have watched your videos for quite a while now. (long story short...my wife is now playing "catch up" because she was in the hospital for 5 months with a brain hemorrhage. Praise God she is doing awesome with recovery...another 6-8 months still to go) . BUT "while she was sleeping" (as we call it) I was noticing that gentle spirit that I felt was inside of you both. I think it is an excellent idea to take a different path. I was excited to hear about you helping the couple in Florida and would have loved to hear more updates. The pallets were getting old. It is nice to see a good Christian family navigate life. It is obvious that you two are caring people. I would love to see weekly upcoming podcasts.

Hi from Portugal! My subscriptions on UA-cam are mostly American and Canadian UA-camrs, and it's basically about DIY and home renovations contents. I was excited when you bought your current house, but I was sad when I saw that most of your videos were about pallets and not about your house renovation and decoration processes. As you grow, you probably get more and more international viewers and pallets are not something we have or do around here. I wish you could show us more about making your house an amazing home, as I know you have from the sneak peeks we've seen and the house tour video you posted not long ago. I know they take long as you mentioned, but maybe you can break them down with smaller DIY projects.

I loved the renovation videos and furniture flipping videos. Totally understand why you have to do the others though. I just found you while I was finishing renovations of my first rental property and wanted a Covid project which turned out to be furniture flipping for extra cash. Fast forward to when you were fixing up your current house and my wife was pregnant with our first baby and that house is our dream house so it mashed with our lives even more it seemed. Good luck with the new podcast!

I don’t know if I’m the norm. I like the palette flipping videos, which is what first caught my attention, but I stayed because of you guys. You’re absolutely adorable as a couple and as a family! I'm 60 years old now, gulp, and wish I had someone like you to listen to when I were younger. Back in my day the only people giving real estate advice were more like fake used car salesman. It was not helpful and felt slimey. You two are way more relatable. And I love watching your family and they way you treat each other. 😊 Can't wait for more podcasts.

TONS of work to balance this life of tryin’ to raise a family & just make it like everyone else…definitely a work in progress! But very rewarding at the same time. You’ll look back and be so proud of all the adventures you took together ☺️
The first time I watched your videos, it was pallet flipping. Then when the new house came about and you were repurposing furniture, I was so impressed on how knowledgeable you both are! My fav is the one where Sarah was garbage picking and how funny you both thought it was!! I will continue to watch!! I'd love to start small with mystery boxes and stick with that for awhile.
And your house renovation videos were the ones I was looking forward to, the pallets not so much :)

G'day from Australia. I watch everything you post on UA-cam because I love you as a couple and appreciate you sharing your experience with the world. I'm now 61 and I've had some sort of side hustle since I was 14. I left employment at 57 due to burnout and now care for my grandchildren while my daughters work. My husband and I have renovated 12 homes over 24 years, renting them out and later selling them off. We now have only one large property which we have divided into a triplex, creating a large passive income. Initially I ran the two furnished one bedroom apartments as airbnbs but the net profit was similar to renting them out to permanent tenants. I'd love to hear you talk about the possibility of people dividing their permanent place of residence into a duplex to create a passive income. Praying for blessings upon you both and your beautiful children. ❤🙏

As for topics, I wanted to find out Jamie's secret side hustle you alluded to the last video- still curious. I also did like your investing talks, I'd love to get into real estate, but I fear the having to deal with renters! I have said that the only way I would invest in real estate is commercial real estate since the property would be the person's place of business not their home and therefore they would want to keep it in the best shape they could- unlike people in their homes. What are your thoughts on that matter? Thanks, again!

You all are an inspiration to me!! We've been self employed for almost 8 years now, and God has been so good to help us through those first few difficult years! It definitely helps to build your faith when you step out and have to rely on the Lord to help bring those jobs your way! I pray God blesses you and your sweet family! Can't wait to find out the gender of baby #3! And I'd love to hear more about your real estate journey and what to look for in flip houses. We have been keeping an eye out for one, but it just hasn't worked out yet.
I have wondered if a single UA-cam channel can be more oriented towards Playlists, like a real estate PL, or family life PL or faith PL, but I think many people actually start entirely separate channels for their various audiences and mention the other channels available at the end of videos. So maybe "Welcome to our Playlist" instead of "Welcome to our channel"? Good luck on the navigation of this new phase!

I have tried helping people get started, but unfortunately host people don't want to put in the time or energy.
I actually found you guys because of one of your bathroom renovations and the rest of your content I found very relatable and interesting. We are similar ages, I live just over an hour from GR (by silver lake), my husband and I want to get into rentals, I do side hustles as a stay at home mom with two kids. So all in all at this point I’m just invested because I enjoy you guys 😂. But marriage topics, kids, work, real-estate, rentals, how to get into rentals, furniture flipping, any side hustles at all, faith. That’s all very interesting to me and I will definitely listen every week! ❤

Family time & work life are always a balancing act. I feel I worked too much when my son was little but he is also a hard worker now. No easy choices. I’ll be interested to hear Jamie’s info on real estate. I’ve often thought about buying rental properties

Very excited about this. My favorite videos were actually the ones that you're doing home renovations on your new home. Or the one that you went into detail about your rentals and the profit they generate. My least favorite were actually the pallets because I know that's something I would never want to undertake lol.

I think consistency is important on a podcast. For example every Monday, etc. and you need to have a topic that you want to discuss and not be all over the place. This 100%! I listen to a lot of podcasts with a nearly 3 hr commute and fall into listening patterns based on the schedule they come out. This is going to be a conversational podcast, so you have to start with the story you're going to tell or the questions you're going to answer. You have great chemistry (obviously) but I also think bringing in all the people you mentioned will be interesting too. The "expert"-style podcast about real estate, entrepreneurship, etc. could almost be an add-on (conversation podcast drops every Monday; Jamie talks real estate for 20 minutes drops every other Thursday in the same feed; Sarah records a design episode once a month). Good luck!!
