I'm not sure if other people would be interested in this, but I'd be interested in seeing a bit of behind the scenes stuff from the clothing side of The Downbeat. Stuff like stuff like coming up with designs, how you go about sorting samples, when the eureka moment hits with the online store, stuff like that
As a hobby drummer that insides into a professional drummers world is something that leads me back to your channel. Do other channels offer this also? Yes. But you have a good character and therefore I like to stay here.
Lessons and playthroughs for some SFTP drums would be sick to see this year. I'd love to see more twitch stuff too.
I wouldn't necessarily call it "lifestyle" vlogs, but what I like about your content is your focus on personal progress and your discipline in drumming, work and training.
I think behind the scenes might be a better name.

I really enjoy the behind-the-scenes content: touring, rehearsals, etc. As a heavy music fan, I find exposure to the unseen parts of the industry fascinating. It would be great to see a lot of the 'process' stuff during the Stary recording this year. All the best for 2024 mate.
The vlogs are really good imo, it’s nice to see some of your day to day and hear about things you’re up to/projects etc, certainly like more vlogging in 2024!

Other topics i'd like to see:
1) the writing process of new material with SFTP. How you go from raw riffs to full songs, ideas you dropped and that we never heard in your albums, creative process etc..
2) acquiring new techniques: you had suggested one day you'd learn heel/toe from Alex R and make a video out of it. that's definitely something i'd like to see. A month per month progress record of you learning new stuff.

What I like about the reaction videos you do is that you notice things that I don't pay attention to, and I get an idea of how a professional musician perceives music. This is interesting and useful (I also play drums). So I would personally like to see you continue to talk about music, what you like/dislike about it, what is noticable/memorable about what you are looking at.
Also talking about drum technique - not necessarily teaching it but talking about what you are doing, what other people are doing, etc.
Also you say a lot of funny things :) And write the best video titles on UA-cam. I expect these will continue whatever the content is.

As someone whose chronically online, I make it a point to watch just about everything you upload. That being said, tour/studio vlogs are my absolute jam and I’m sure plenty of people will agree that I love the transparency with everything related to the business side of the podcast. Keep doing what you’re doing Craig!
My wishlist for 2024:
- More podcast interviews shooting shit with the guests 👍
- No need for more content on lifestyle, current amount is fine 👍
- I personally don't watch live streaming as I don't like the constraint of time-specific events - reminds me of good ol' TV programs. Do whatever you want with streaming, but please continue posting it to VOD afterwards 🙏
- PLEASE vlog/document the recording of the upcoming SFTP album 🙏🙏🙏

I love the gym shit! I would fully support a gym focused content routine like a vlog each week on like food and nutrition or what your split is and all that stuff LOVE IT
If it’s possible to do fortnightly podcasts and alternate fortnightly videos like this talking about ANYTHING so we get weekly content, if you have to you can separate those channels, and if you do get back to twitch hire someone to edit out videos for a ‘twitch clips’ channel that you don’t have to do anything for. Love everything you do but I don’t watch the real in depth drumming stuff. And yeah I’m a music reaction channel but I don’t watch reaction stuff, I also don’t really get it but love finding music so happy to put videos up. Happy new year!
Your old lesson videos were very helpful so it would be great to see more of those here.
If you guys are recording would love to see some recording vlogs and playing footage. As much drumming as possible, practice sessions, play throughs and then just a bit of anything else. I'll watch whatever, I like the insight into being a pro drummer and the fact that I can see that world through you. Good luck for 2024
Oh also, I had both my feet and ankles smashed up and reconstructed when I was 18. It totally fucked my legs up and took me literal years to get back the flexibility and strength I had before my surgeries. The single most helpful rehab exercise I did was just standing up back against a wall and doing ankle raises (just going up on to tip toes with straight legs) for like ten minutes then I sit down and take one of those rubber therapy bands and pull back on my toes then practice pushing down and extending my ankles. That really helped/helps still when I feel really stiff. Now I can finally do a really nice heel toe technique with very little “force” or energy behind it. Give it a go! One thing I’ve learned now that I’m in my 30s is that stretching before I play makes a huge fucking difference. Also eat a banana before hand if you’re burning out really quick. Sometimes you just need some sugar and salts to give your muscles back some energy. Another thing I’m terrible at paying attention to.
Drum lessons-practice tips, vlogs, reacting other drummers was the funniest part. For ME lessons and drumming stuff are to improve, reacting is for fun.

Happy new year my man. As a guitar player who’s a huge fan, I think it would be sick to write over some of your grooves. Maybe something along the lines of you record a short drum video and Dropbox the audio, ask the fans to write something over top and then you can check it out, pick your fav or something like that.

Doing the knees over toes guys free program (shin raises and hip flexor raises) really helped me in 2023 on top of my normal lifting. Hoping it helps you the same!
With Shopify it's actually not too difficult to cover every country and have different warehouses(locations). With Shopify markets you can even have different prices per country.
You really only have two choices a) have different warehouses, so some items might only by available in one location at some point but shipping to the customer is cheaper or b) have everything in one warehouse and pay a sh*tload of shipping.
It's great to see something like this from a musician. You're doing really well. I believe that whatever you want to showcase, even if it strays from music, maybe even pushing the situations a bit in the beginning, it will be a lot of fun. Hugs from Brazil! 🇧🇷

Love the Vlogs either lifestyle or on tour. I agree with you on the downbeat store situation. Having one big store would be great and yeah the shipping at the moment is a bit rough, especially to Australia, but I know that's out of your control. Maybe though 24hundred might be a way to go but I guess they would want a cut out of it too.
Also as a vinyl collector the downbeat variants are sick. Cant wait for the dying wish one, would like to see more of these.

I’d love to see more play throughs/breakdowns of parts. Also a bit of lifestyle stuff but I know that can mundane and cringey as you said, but the average day would be cool and a coffee tutorial of some kind. Drip, press, pour what you like to make etc. overall though I think this past year was great, man. You had a good mix of content and it was great to see all your hard work paying off. Wishing nothing but the best for the king of grustle in 2024.
Lessons, playthroughs would be great, but really love the vlogs and the podcasts aswell. Your podcast with almost all bands/artists are really interesting, because you let things go their own way which makes for very inspirational and educational conversations imo. Also ready to consume more of your Downbeat clothes when you figured out a way to keep the UK(EU) together with the US.

2023 I think I found my passion in life, unfortunately it's music so you win some you lose some. 2024 is gonna be about taking everything I learned about myself and what I want and shaping my life around those things, and also making career decisions that will make me happy instead of just focusing on survival.

I really think you should continue do a little bit of it all, that keeps the channel interesting. The gym and reactions are really for creators without any real ideas IMO. A deep dive into the next recording and a trip to Nashville would be great to watch!
