- Doing some macro photography a trail in Florida! getting up close and personal with the small parts of Florida's nature. Photographing with Sony A7 IV, Sony 90mm Macro 2.8 lens, flash Profoto A1X with Profot Soft Bounce for enhanced sharpness and detail.
First time using a flash while doing macro. I still have a lot to learn 📸

I have done macro photography since 1980, I never use flash for nature photography ! For macro photography you do not need autofocus, in fact it can be very annoying to use, manual focusing for macro photography is the best way, I have used a lot of macro Lenses, now I use the excellent Voigtländer Macro APO-Lanthar 110mm 2.5 which I very highly can recommend !
That's great! I only do manual for macro and I never said you have to use flash, just that I wanted to try it out because it can definitely help in many situations, thank you for watching 😊
I use flash, but obviously natural lighting is better when applicable. Flash is almost necessary when you get to super macro levels.
@@FraterABYA Depends on what you call super macro Level ! If you mean fx 20x which is microscope level, then yes, but out in the nature there are no problem with fx 5x macro an natural light !

Although I'm into wildlife and landscape, I also love macro too. A location I've been wanting to visit is the Lake Apopka trails. How long have you been into photography (modeling)????
