That's not true. Jordan performs various tasks as an associate producer.

@@christianfarmer I always watch these like I watch a movie (or pawn stars las vegas). I don't put too much thought into if its scripted or not. If its funny I find it funny, and that works for me.

I like how when Conan suggests that these guys hid the truffles in advance that was a great opportunity for Jordan to go on one of his lessons about how these guys are great at their job and how they're part of a centuries-old Italian tradition and whatnot... but the "scam" was just too obvious so he just concurred.

That's why Conan specifically said "apparently", he was just joking about the public perceptions. He gave a bit of a pause for Jordan to give a rebuttal, but Jordan didn't take it so he finished with the "nugget of truth" bit.

I almost played Conan in a commercial way back when Conan was in between networks. I had two auditions and almost booked it but the gym teacher from Glee beat me. Also, I left the wilcox hollywood post office and a group of fake papparazi followed me to my car yelling Conan! Conan! Turns out it was for a never aired tv show where they run up to random people and pretend they are whatever famous people they look like. None of this is BS, I promise. @@DC.....

According to Conan on his podcast when Werner Herzog was a guest, Conan was actually losing his mind because he was tired as hell after a long day when they filmed this. Just fed up with everything, so when he started jumping and impersonating a rabbit it was a spontaneous act of madness, he was seriously about to lose it. The fact that he still managed to "perform", improvise and create something funny says a lot about what an incredible professional he is.
Despite of the joke do you think truffle hunters will really show you their best places? LoL! 🤣
White truffle season in Tuscany is December through January. So this was recorded a long time ago in a Ford Galaxy far, far away, or the truffles in the ground were put there ahead of time.
I think they just didn't want to reveal their secret location.

Lol, on the latest episode of Inside Conan, he explained that they filmed all the Italy stuff really quickly and so he was absolutely exhausted during this and just lost all ability to care, which is why he exposed the truffle con so quickly and became absolutely deranged.

Conan and Jordan could easily get like 6-10 TV seasons out of just travelling Italy and Japan. They could do such a perfect mix of comedy, and culture and nature documentary. I fear the world will have been robbed of that glorious opportunity, for whatever reason.

I dont speak Italian, but to whoever does, how good is Jordan's Italian? I cant tell
he's good. not supergood but he has a good vocabulary and an ok understanding of grammar
Italian here, he's good, but not exceptional.
From what it seems, if he doesn't make himself clear in the first try, he can do it easily afterwards.
He has a heavy American accent, which is not a big problem at all since he pronunce words correctly
I'm italian. I think he has an A2 level in the european standard, this means he can relay just on itlian as a turist but it would be difficoult for him to work in Italy. He used a wrong proposition and asked "about truffles" in the first interaction so this confused the man but later clarified himself, when conan was asking if they were ok with him killing jordan "after the hunt in the forest" you sw he was having a little of troubles translating it verbatim so just said later that is ok to keep the conversation flowing. I think having the pressure of the cameras was a factor. He seems to understand just fine the language that in Italy is not that easy, every region has a strong accent and uses different words. Also consider that Italian is harder than for example spanish or french for english speakers because the grammar rules are more complicated.
He is good, I would say he is lower intermediate at best. He does make a lot of mistakes with articles and his grammar is okay but not great. His vocabulary is wide and I can understand him when he speaks. He does have a heavy American accent, but still intelligible.
I don't speak Italian but I can still tell he sounds awkward, he doesn't sound like the other Italians. He has a different accent, and from what others said i guess he has a heavy american accent.
Conan is the best late night show host. Genuinely entertaining.
