Always nice to see anything that will remove black streaks, but where you used a paint brush on the cleaning stuff I use a old toothbrush and with regards to the micro fibre cloths on the instructions on mine it says not to tumble dry but apart from that good video
Looks like very good products, and well worth considering. I use a Supagard products, and applied the sealant earlier this year. But one product which is excellent is Fenwicks Bobby Dazzler, great for the roof, because once you've washed it, spray some on and it repels the water as if it's just been waxed.
Hi Simon, yep we used the bobby dazzler, we found it quite good however after a week or so its effectiveness was reduced quite considerably. I will let you know how this one fairs up over time. Dan
Hi Dan as to your paint brush we buy a cheap pack of tooth brushes work very well around the edge bits to ' certainly be looking to use black streck remover
Great to see other products Dan. I would use the two bucket method one to clean your wash mit each time and have grit guards in the bottom of each bucket.
Thanks for the review. We have taken the plunge and are in the process of buying our first caravan, a second hand swift. All your fault and Mr Ditton of course :-)
Hi Dan, Great video. I know you made this video back in 2017. Is it possible to do an update on the Shield product on how long it kept the caravan clean?
Re Black Streak removed I have always used the one Aldi sell when they have their caravan specials in spring it's a gel like product and works very well and being from Aldi it's very cheap! However their caravan cleaner was next to useless. Great vlog as always
Hi Dan just picked up your channel great content all round seen the one about the nose weight and then started at the very first one now working my way through , so which one Mellrud or Silky .And on another subject just got a new caravan 2017 came with a wheel lock a full stop security nemesis ultra , now do you take the locking nut of every time to travel or do you replace the locking nut with the original wheel stud any advice would be helpful yours Tony J
Nice one Dan. When you do the cleaner comparison could you include the GRP cleaner recommended for Alu-Tech caravans, namely "Careavan". I would be interested in your thoughts on the effectiveness and usefulness of this product.
Rather than a paint brush, I use a car detailing brush off Amazon as it’s construction of plastic and has no danger of scraping the caravan body itself. The bristles are stiffer, but not too stiff for those hard to reach areas.👍
Hi. Hope you are well, We have noticed some dried up paint drops on over our front windows of caravan is there a product to remove them from arcylic windows without leaving any marks. Thanks
Dan, you should try a product called Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer its super easy to apply, just simply wipe on wipe off and is amazing at repelling water and dirt, the water beading is fantastic and its not too expensive either.
Hi, sounds great, an important point to raise is that if it contains carnauba wax it cannot be used on Alu-Tech bodies, not sure why but its in the literature packs. Take care Dan
Hello Dan,coming off this subject.tracker, there are different ones on the market do you have a preference??.just got our new van and want to keep it safe and sound. Any advice would be great ,with thanks Lee,Sarah.
Hi Lee & Sarah, We have a phantom tracker. Search on my videos for trackers, i have a video dedicated to how they work and what you pay for. Hope that helps, let me know if you still need help Dan
Seaside Housewife If you are going to use a paint brush, I suggest wrapping the metal part with a few wraps of tape. Less chance of scratches to plastic or painted surface 😉
As always a great review, but you have reviewed other cleaning products and you recommend those, are you saying that this product is Better than those, or about the same, or not as good
Hi Steve, an excellent point - Ive used ALOT of products as you can imagine, and for the black streak remover this by far ticks the box, Have a look at our blog, you can see an article and on it are the before and after shots of the same panel - i think the results speak for themselves. As for general cleaning, The Silky product i used before was pretty good, it did take a lot of work to get it all off and was difficult to gauge how much i had put on. The Silky GRP cleaner was also excellent, but the price point was way out many folks reach. So far, these products have out performed anything I've used before, in terms of ease of use, results and price. I hope that helps Steve, happy to share a side by side comparison in the near future of the products I've used. Take care Dan
