Work gave me a new 2020 Tradesman w 6.4L. I have 60k+ and over 1100 idle hours. Truck weighs 9000lb everyday. Not a single issue. I can’t wait to get one personally. I’m a 30 year GM guy and it’s over. RAM 100%
I bought a 2024 PW with most options. No fifth wheel. No Rambox. I’ve had it for 6 months. The best fuel economy I got was 20mpg. Usual mileage is 15-16 mpg. I love my truck. I’ve wheeled it up to the top of Lead Queen mountain in BC. Pulled a tandem covered trailer with four Honda GoldWings. Pulled it like a charm. It is an awesome truck. Dealer had to replace the EGR valve at 10,000 miles. I installed power running boards and 35” tires run at 45psi cold. It’s an excellent truck!
Gas is always a battle but I wouldn't trade my PW, well worth it to me, she does everything i ask! ❤ mine is a 2019, first year of the 8 speed in them, she is on 37s, has Octane high clearance bumpers and put some Thuren Fabrication upgrades on the suspension mainly to have grease points where the stock parts don't and i will run this thing until i croak
Good content, happy you’re satisfied with the truck. If you’re happy with it the way you’ve been using it, wait until you see this beast perform off-road. I have a 2022 level III PW I picked up Aug. 2022. Have taken it as is, stock, on some gnarly off-roading from WA, UT, AZ & NV & it is truly impressive for a stock off-road truck. Have a 6000# off-road trailer & the PW tows it around with zero issues. Will be upgrading the PW with the Prospector package from AEV soon, they have the best upgrades for this platform in my opinion. Cheers & enjoy that PW!
I thought about doing the same, but did you know that their suspension upgrade is based on the normal 2500 platform? You would be converting the suspension back to a regular 2500 just to use their dual sport suspension lift. You will lose some of the articulation but still gonna have all the offroad goodies like lockers and sway bar dc. Just in case you didnt know…
Use it as at should be used. ❤ Carli and Fox eliminator 3.0 or extreme series suspension 3.0 updates are required. Seen the PW handling so much improved from the Carli lift kits and before and after videos. Smoothes regular roads, plus offers more wheel well travel and softened handling at the same time.
Im in the same boat. Got my 2022 pw earlier this year and have driven it nearly 18000 miles since. It had only 40 when i drove it off the lot. Same issues, but i love my truck and have the same experiences. Cheers from southern cali!
I put BFG KO2 37x12.50x17 on mine (stock suspension). Looks badass, but a little spongy on the ride. 35s are probably more practical, but I'll take badass over practical. I also have a SoftTopper on mine and that is my "roof top tent" when I sleep in the bed on camping trips. Very happy with 6.4 Hemi and 8-speed tranny. Great off road and on long freeway trips as well.

Well, I've owned my lightly used (16,000 miles) 2022 PW now for 12 days and I love it! No surprises on the mileage since I traded a 2012 Laramie 2X4 with the 5.7 that only got 15 mpg so anything over 13 with the PW is good enough for me. I bought the truck as a retirement gift to myself to tow an off grid travel trailer around the country. I plan to find some remote lakes and streams to fish and I want to make sure that I can not only get in to them but I can get out also. In between fishing days I'll unhook the trailer and do a little off-roading so it's a PW for me!

I just bought a 2023 RAM PW. I currently have a 2013 RAM 1500 Sport 4x4. I'm not concerned about gas mileage in the PW.. all I get currently from my 1500 is about 13 - 14 like/gallon

So from my research and from a few other videos ive seen about the pw, its payload and tow rating are only lower because of the soft suspension making it unsafe to drive under the load ratings given. People say adding a ln air suspension to assist the springs will fixe that and you can tow closer to a regular 2500. But thats up to you to take the risk.
My 1500 Classic SXT is big enough. It sits tall on 20" wheels and barely fits in the garage. Parking and climbing in and out is a chore. Can't imagine daily driving a PW.

Thats a bummer to hear about your PW leaking. I had the same Problem with my Silverado. Apparently it’s a common problem on all GM trucks and SUV’s. GM used a shark fin antenna with a design flaw. There is a little gap at the back of the antenna on the base of it. Water builds up inside the antenna and eventually just eats away the foam then you have water everywhere in the interior. There is also a problem with the 3rd brake light leaking and water coming through the cab.
It was my phone shaking. I had it set up on a tripod on the floor in front of the passenger seat. I use my phone for the videos. No GoPro (yet). So the quality of a lot of my videos are average at best.
Shoot, I was lucky to get 9 with my ‘06 titan. It’s a full-size truck not a 4cyl minivan. They don’t even list mpg on the factory sticker most time with trucks this size.
I am looking at a PW and I also love everything about it. What is your payload? Since these trucks have a lot on them, I'm reading the payload is horrible, like 1100 lbs, Sounds like your hitch weight on your camper is ~750 lbs then add on gear and people, I think you would be way over payload. Have you ever thought about that? TIA!!
Mine is right around 1,100 pounds. It depends on the trim package you have with the truck. I have the Level 3, so it is pretty loaded which drops the payload capacity. I have though about the people and gear when towing. When we went camping a month or so ago, the truck handled fine with wife, 2 kids, and loaded camper. My fresh, grey, and black tanks were empty though. So I wasn’t even close to my max. I should take it to a scale next time I go camping just to see.
It's a Off-Road truck not a heavy duty tower. The suspension is a softer suspension for driving off road that's why the payload is less also than a non Power Wagon Ram 2500. The truck has plenty of power It's the suspension that limits the tow numbers.

If you’re towing more than 10,000 lbs plus people in the cab go with the Laramie. The interior space is amazing. I’m 6’2 and I would be comfortable in the back seat on a long drive. Just me, but I’ve had bad luck with used vehicles. The last 2 I bought were CPO (Chevy and VW) and I had both for less than a year and bought new. This RAM is what replaced the Chevy. And 1 year in, I still love the truck and have had no issues. I will be doing a 1 year update video soon.
@sa3key awesome thank you. Yeah don't think I'm that heavy. Mainly like 4 wheeler in bed, then flat bed trailer with camping gear and supplies then the family. Other times are towing my derby car around and just tow or haul farming stuff around when not the tractor. I'm sure the pw would handle that just fine and probably do better in the wet muddy fields. Thanks again
Yeah, if you like spending time at the dealer getting major repairs….Ford all day, bro….nah, just kidding…I’m on my third Ram heavy duty and love these trucks. No issues at all, and highly recommend.
A Quick Look at the stats…it will as long as long as it is not at max gvwr of 10,000 lbs. NOW, if you get a lower trim level Power Wagon, it will be able to tow it due to a higher payload and towing capacity. But you will have to look at your vehicle payload I’m sure. May want to look at the Rebel HD. That truck will tow it easily with room to spare.
This is a good truck, low gas MPG in modern times. My 2002 Z28 chevy Camaro got 9 MPG average. The 2500 Dodge engines in 2001 used 5-8 MPG unloaded, 1 driver. Loaded its 5 MPG HWY miles. Having 11-13 MPG moving 4-5 tons on modern 2500 HD is up to handle any road and disaster. I used this truck to get the best Fire Works 4th of July spots off road. Handles the best of anyoff road vehicle ever. My own MPG is 9.5 MPG CITY driving, 15 MPG HWY. So13 is average MPG.
It sucks because these trucks look soo cool… but you will literally use the winch 2-3 times in 10 years, all the off-road stuff maybe 3-4 times a year and it gets horrible gas mileage and it’s towing and payload are like 1/2 ton numbers. It just doesn’t make sense… if your buying to go off-road a lot then maybe it’s worth it but other then that it is just a useless truck. Sadly. It looks cool as hell.
Just buy a regular Tradesman 2500 and add the Power Wagon option package you'll save about 20k dollars. Still get the Power Wagon abilities without the price of a Power Wagon. Plus you won't have those hideous stickers on the side of truck.
For a gas truck. Not on hyw your getting pretty good mileage. With the duratracks that truck is really quite. And for your stupid bike. Put it in the "cargo area" and lock it with a cable you have to be tearing your rear seats up. Love the power wagon especially for up hunting with lockers that truck is bad ass

Love my Power Wagon! It dont care!
What year is your Power Wagon.
2022
ok thank you
Does yours have the 6.4l squeak ?
No squeaks. Getting close to needing new tires though.
Yeah, if you like spending time at the dealer getting major repairs….Ford all day, bro….nah, just kidding…I’m on my third Ram heavy duty and love these trucks. No issues at all, and highly recommend.
Do you ever pull a gooseneck trailer,
@@houstonbrown3450 every day.
Smoother quieter and not a square box on wheels. And less recalls
Will it tow an AirStream Classic 30?
35s are perfect.
Nice to know I can throw a bike inside, that’s gonna super nice.
Got a 2020
I love my Dodge Power Wagon . It’s the best truck I have ever owned period.
yes...so did i....and then a rebel.....
Yeah it looks badass and that’s really all that matters
@@wallbangerzsportsboom 💥 and there it is! 🔥😎
yes sir I am getting one soon 2022 supper nice! love them too
You want good gas mileage then buy a Prius for half the price
I have a 2011 1500 st, has a better payload, cost 20k canadian, paid it off in 3 years
Definitely not as cool looking
👍🏻👍🏻
If paid 90grand way to much
Just buy a regular Tradesman 2500 and add the Power Wagon option package you'll save about 20k dollars.
You live in a housing edition and your truck is a pavement princess...what a waste!
Nah... you made a mistake. Should've gotten a Bronco!!!
Um, you missed the part about towing an RV. Your Bronco can’t do that.
😂😂😂😂
Bronco is pricey for what you get.
Lmfao
I owned my '21 powerwagon for nearly 6 months before somebody pointed out the hidden step to help get up into the box...maybe check underneath the rear driver side🫣😎
I’ve looked. It’s an option I still want to buy and install
How about leaving the bike at home😂
Ha! That’s funny!
Yeah, either leave the bike or the car.
Problem solved.
Better gas mileage either way.
You bought a 2500 heavy duty truck with a GAS engine. I am sure the Uconnect probably needs a software update.
Boy I guess you ain't kidding when you short
What’s wrong with a gas engine
