You did a great job & it looks beautiful! I love the color/pattern! I used to sew all my valances years ago & with life getting busy, it kind of lost its place in priorities. You can make them yourself so much cheaper. Thanks for sharing & inspiring me to get back to making my own! Blessings to you and your family!
you're great! You are enjoyable. I love how you don't dilly dally with perfect measurements; you obviously can figure it out. That tells me you are experienced and know what you're doing!
I love your valance video. I really enjoyed seeing the valances on your windows. The fabric you chose was perfect. What color did you paint your walls? I hope you don't mind me asking. I use a lot of earth tone shades in my home. We are trying to decide what color to put on our walls. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bonnie P
Unfortunately I spend a lot of time procrastinating...scared it won’t turn out in all my crafts. Once I start I’m always surprised and there is always a seem ripper, which for some things is my best friend 🤪 I am defiantly going to make that little table you made. Once I get to take over my daughters room as a sewing room!
I am also making valances for the top of blinds but I want to add lining due to lots of sun light. Would you add the lining in the beginning just before stitching around the entire fabric? Thank you.
Hi there, I am enjoying the crafts and seeing videos. Do you have the pattern you used for masks posted on your site?? I know you sewed a bunch of them!!
I’ll be honest. I didn’t watch video but wanted to make sure you had a view, like and comment. I sewing is not my thing but support definitely is~~~Sandy
Never, never, never iron on top of your cutting mat regardless of using a pressing towel on top. Any heat will buckle the cutting mat. Trust me...I found out the hard way!!
This is so great! This is my first project and your instructions are so clear. I am subscribing. Thank so much!
Thank you for the very simple directions. Your sewing partner 🐱is adorable!
I also wanted to add that I love the paint color on your walls.
You are so welcome!

Thank you so much! The dining room and living room are Repose Gray and the rest of the house is Casual Khaki. I believe they are both Sherwin Williams
Thanks so much!
You did a great job love the color
Loved your video and easy to follow directions! One question I have is how much wider should the rod pocket be than the actual rod?
I make it about 1/4 to 1/2 inch wider than the rod itself, enough so it moves through easily, but not so big that it hangs!
Your hair looks especially cute today!

I’m making a valance with similar fabric for our bathroom! Love how easy yours is. I like to make things complicated 🙄
I just made 84 inch lines curtains for the dining room-I was surprised how easy they were!

Yes! Under free printables! I also showed it in a video-it’s in my sew with me playlist!
@@RiseandShineSuburbanHomestead Thanks! I appreciate all you do🙂🙂

Nice job!

I didn't know you could iron on a cutting mat!
A quick swipe - anything longer I put a towel down!
Sorry but you should never iron on your mat, even with a towel. It will warp. Especially if you use steam.
Use the ironing board.
I warped my cutting board by ironing on it. I was glad to see that you decided to go to the ironing board 😀
