Hi. I came across your video and I decided to subscribe. I think it's very fascinating that I can learn from you about so considerable things in Cambodia. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences.
Yours is the nicest apartment I have seen in Phnom Penh on these apartment tours. All the others are so bare, boring and kind of run down or even shabby-looking. The difference between those and yours is shocking! Very nice swimming pool and weight room too. The co-working space is a nice bonus.
Hi Linda, thanks for the informative video! It’s super helpful. I wanted to ask if you have had any issues with mould since arriving due to the humidity, and if there are any tips you use to prevent it?
I don't know exact numbers but we were told a good portion are Japanese. Makes sense since the developer is Japanese. While here, I've seen and heard people speak English, Khmer, Chinese, and Korean as well.
Hi , my family , and I will be in Cambodia for Vacation about two or three months there. We are looking for the place to stay as apartments for rent in couple months, Any place would you like to recommend ? Thanks
@@eddiemen6752 Hi Eddie! That sounds like a fun trip planned. It honestly depends on your personal preference. BKK1, TTP, and the surrounding area have a lot of ex-pats, but also is close to a lot of shopping malls and diverse food options. However, it does get cheaper if you're closer to the Central Market area. Condos are more expensive because you're paying for certain amenities such as security. However, we had friends who rented the traditional long house for just a few hundred dollars a month (these are usually found through word of mouth). My husband and I preferred the BKK1 area because it was close to the types of food we enjoy and our friends were in the area, but it was more expensive. Hope this helps and hope you enjoy your trip!
Hi. I love this apartment near BKK1. Will u be able to tell me the name of the building so that I can look it up for my next long stay in Phnom Penh. Please, please because as u said; it has some cool amenities. Thank you so much.
This is obviously L’attrait :) in BKK1. Map-wise it seems to be the most ideal building, walking timings to all the plces I fequent are 8 minutes or less.
Thanks for the compliment! Dental care is fair bit medical is questionable. Most major medical care is done in nearby countries, mainly Thailand or Vietnam. I came prepared with my own medicine just in case, but you would be able to find the basics at Aeon markets or mall. That said, if you need an IV drip or have food poisoning, they can meet your needs. Just question and be cautious if they’re recommending outrageous procedures. Stay healthy!
Mosquito bites can trigger malaria and dengue fever. Do you need mosquito nets for sleeping? Do you carry any anti malaria medications ? Some people need to take precautions. Also, are units pet friendly and what about noise levels for upstairs renters ? Thanks
Looks like a pretty nice building in a good neighborhood, but 500 bucks a month is very high for a tiny studio. And what's up with "property management" being an add-on to the rent? I get a 3-bedroom house just outside Chiang Mai in a developed village for a little over $200/month.
That's definitely nice. I think as PP is welcoming more and more apartment living, different styles and layouts become more available. This just happened to be one we liked.
Price will vary by the owner, room size, and floor. A studio like this was about $500-$600 in this building, but you can definitely find similar if not bigger rooms for less. Just need to find the one that fits your needs.
I stayed there! Great place indeed. And great location. Just in case you don’t mention it in video ( I just started watching) how long is your lease and what are you paying? Thanks!
Woah, I like your compact apt. except the bathroom. The area is less to clean, however, the rent is too expensive for a solo traveller. I also don't care for the Gym and pool. What's important for me is an elevator, good WiFi, A/C and near the market. I've seen a lot of videos on Phnom Penh and am so eager to visit the place. I'm thinking of whether to rent an apt. or stay in a hostel or a guesthouse. Planning to stay for a month.
Hahha, yes I had to put pretty pictures up to cover up the bathroom. That seemed to work for me. Most apartments for rent want longer-term renters. Hopefully you get to visit one day. Good luck!
It's a nice place but no balcony and where do you keep the washing machine. May be you will get a more spacious place a bit further way from the city centre
How cool! Yes, it's small but I like that there's a conference room you can reserve and the shared working space downstairs. It beats staying in the room all day. Plus there are so many cafes nearby that's a great alternative to working solely from home. Good luck with your find!
Excellent video. I'm considering moving to S.E. Asia. What are residency rules and can I still have my wood shop and art studio? If so, do I need a Cambodian partner?
I believe it! So crazy how expensive housing can be in some places. This location is actually considered more expensive than nearby areas, believe it or not. The more affordable rooms range from $50 - $300 a month!
@@MoconutLife I'm considering a trip to Cambodia myself to check out the sites and the housing based on the areas. Yes, we have popular areas like Thailand and the Philippines, but Cambodia has my attention and is on my radar.
That's a normal relatively large fridge pretty much everywhere, it's just that the US uses gigantic ... everything - refrigerators, cars, food portions and so on. Oh and a fridge with an ice maker is somewhat rarer. You might need some drapes or there might be too much light after the sunrise. For the bathroom issue, maybe a 3M film applied on the glass can get the job done quick and easy. Also, best to make sure the AC is cleaned often enough as air quality is not ideal in that part of the world and you want the air filtered properly.
Just curious...how long were you living in the US and what made you decided to be an expat in Cambodia. I was born in Cambodia and never care to move back to Cambodia.
