Best stuff I've watched on UA-cam for ages, absolute legend, love your dedication. Smash it '25 Tyler, you are superb. I've watched nearly all of them this morning before training. Keep them coming.
Good advice particularly about consistency and Vo2 I always use 40/20s and similar for the hill climb season.I think you should never find your self in a situation in a race that you haven't practiced in Training

@@tylerhannay so you think thats a good workout? im glad to hear that :-) thanks. i have started my ironman prep back in august and since then I do 4-5 bike sessions a week. mostly endurance but mixing it up with higher intensities. i guess thats key. but im a noob so i just do my best 🙂
@@99cya consistency was my number one point and you seem to be nailing that so I would say your well on your way to smash that ironman, just keep it varied and have fun!
@ ill do a half distance in Rapperswil (Switzerland). It has 1100m elevation so i need to invest some time in my bike prep. The full distance later in the year is in Thun, also Switzerland. I do live there. I believe it has the most beautiful bike course possible. The scenery is just fantastic. But it has 2200m elevation. So i must not underestimate that :-)
@ yes i agree with your points. However i dont need a coach at my young age of 69. I focus like your with exercises over Vo2 max a lot to keep it in the high 50’s, low resting rate especially needed when climbing long hills in Spain
Love the tempo with VO2 Max surges 💯

great way to look at it!
Nice clear advice, good work. 👍
Thanks! 👍
Thx man!
no worries, I am glad you liked it! much more to come !
Nice , is it better to ride let’s say sweet spot in 4X10 or 40 min in 1 go !?
start at 4x10 and increase the length of the intervals so 4x15 and so on, to increase total time
Good content. How often would you do the vo2, once a week?
probs for me 2 times a week
@ ok, thanks! I’ll try it, I’ve just done a session and struggled to complete it, pretty brutal!
@ awesome that you gave it a go and not many would!
